This is a great spot to try, especially if you are in a group. The pork belly was thick and they gave us a large quantity. The thin pork belly was quite tasty when cooked crispy. This restaurant also gave refills of the egg and cheesy corn, which is one of my favourite things to eat at Korean bbq. Sometimes it was a bit hard to get the waiter's attention because they were so busy. It is better to make a reservation if you plan to come during dinner time on a weekend because it gets very busy. read more

Lots of seating space, there is a second floor. We were seated on the second floor, it was nice and quiet. It is conveniently located near the Sheppard station, only a few minutes north of the station. The staff were attentive and efficient. I been to the yonge and sheppard quite a few times and it seems like the service has gone up! the last few times I have gone, it was really hard to get their attention but they were walking around and checking up on my table today which i really loved. Meat quality was up to par, but wish they cut the boneless short rib as it was harder to eat unless you cut it. The ambiance is always nice, and they have a patio as well. There heater was somewhat sufficient however the grill is not heating up enough due to the cold, therefore we weren't able to cook anything for 30 minutes. Then we asked the manager to move us inside, which they did, also apologized to us and gave us free dish. Thank you for making things rightc great service. Prices might seem a bit high at first glance, but the quality of the meat is noticeably better than what you'll find at AYCE places. You also get a generous spread of sides, which helps balance out the cost. At one point we had so much food we barely had space on the table. Service was solid, nothing over the top, but nothing to complain about either. The food overall was above average for Korean BBQ, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. They have easy instructions to follow showing you how to cut and cook the meat, and the selection of meats they have is really good. They gave a bunch of side dishes which were delicious! The best Korean BBQ in town. So good that there are four locations all along Yonge street in between Steeles and Sheppard. That's insane! Decor in here is super cute and retro vibes. The food is always on point and have such great cuts of meat. Can't forget the unlimited side dishes, corn and egg that they serve. They're really generous in giving you unlimited sides, we find ourselves always asking for the cheese corn as it's so delicious. Make to have the cheese corn on the grill for a little longer to get that crispy cheesy edge. Whatever cut of meat you get for the grill is fresh and top quality. Wash down that KBBQ with some cold noodles, whether you get the soupy cold noodle or soupless version, it's very refreshing and great contrast to the bbq. This is hands down the best Korean BBQ and I find myself here all the time along with their other locations! They're all so great and have the same quality and great service. read more

Phenomenal Korean BBQ in a really nice, cool environment. I've only had Korean BBQ once - in Seoul. This was equal to that, or better. The meat tasted great, the cold noodles were fantastic, and everything was very tasty. There was also a healthy selection of Soju! ;) I loved sitting out on the rooftop patio (although it got warm with the bbq in front of us), and the restaurant itself was clean and large. Service was also excellent - very fast and responsive. I will return!! read more

I've been in this resto for a few times, but today will be the last time. My previous visits was really good, the food is nice and the ambiance. But today when we're billing out we paid the bill with a tip, however while we're living the crew stopped us and told us we gave a tip that is below their minimum tip which is 15% of the total bill and ASKED us to pay the balance ‍‍‍. Like wtf. I thought tip is what you're willing to give. Since when did restaurants have a minimum tip? I've been in this place before and this was the first time this happened. It was okay- they took care of our friend with gluten allergy but did not have tamari sauce for him, which I thought was pretty lame. Service otherwise was pretty bad- no one checked in on us. We had to flag down for numerous occasions. Definitely not my favourite location. read more

This review is strictly about the level of service. The food itself is very good along with the upper patio seating. However, the terrible service made for a poor dining experience. I would suggest driving a bit more north on Yonge street and going to the Steeles location where the service is significantly better and the staff are much friendlier. To start, every time our server would come by so we could ask for a refill on the lettuce or side dishes or extra napkins, she had the rudest face and literally had one foot out the door instead of actually stopping to take the order. Its as if she didn't give a sh*t and couldn't be bothered with a customer's request. We had to ask multiple times for refills on lettuce considering they would only bring out one basket with 5-6 pieces. But with a table of 6 dining, you can see that it would be consumed pretty quickly. To make matters worse when the manager swung by to ask if we needed anything we also requested a refill on the same items since our server was MIA. and even then it didn't come out for sometime. I can go on and on about the lack of attentiveness but I'll save my breath and ensure I go to the Steeles location instead where they are much nicer. And easier to find FREE parking. read more

You have to order at least 2 orders of meat in order for the grill to turn on. With 3 orders of meat, you'll get unlimited rounds of 6 side dishes ( must have )- you can only get refill on the side dish, as long as you still have meat to grill. Came in for lunch on a Sunday. We ordered the boneless beef ribs, pork belly and seafood pancake. The side dishes were generous and the staff didn't mind topping up if you finished. The beer was cold, but where were the glasses? The bbq plate was greased with a piece of pork fat, and we were offered some soup with our meal, as we would have been in Korea. The corn and egg were a nice surprise, but not my thing. My favorite dish around the hot plate was the hot kimchi... we ended up ordering more food, because it was enjoyable and delicious.
