Adam Hornback has been amazing. Our 2 yr. old furnace has been sending out odd messages on the thermostat since early Feb. One of the other electricians didn't know what the message was, nor how to fix it. Adam came out and noted the message called for an upgrade on the operating system, which he then completed. A couple weeks later, the same thing happened with a different code. This time, he found a wasp had gotten into one of the gas lines. (?) He removed it with a paper clip and the furnace started working. Then, a few days ago, it happened again. He came out and found some kind of yellow goo? was in the same place the wasp had been and he removed it and got the furnace working again. The operating system is understandable, but working until he found the wasp and goo in the line, which were highly unusual, and fixing them, was above and beyond. He's smart, knows a furnace inside and out, and is very thorough. On top of that he is one of the nicest service people we have ever met. Absolutely DO NOT recommend using this company. Maybe if you just need help with a small repair, but do not buy any new equipment and do not let them install anything in your home. They are all incompetent, they send a new person every time, they do it wrong every time. After installation, I found myself calling them daily to fix problems that just kept happening. The new system ended up being worse than the first system that I had. In the end they told me that they oversold me on the product, and they installed it improperly. So now they have to start over. I have spent almost 100k with this company and had nothing but headaches. They have been coming to my house for the past 7 weeks in a row, and still nothing has been done/fixed. They send new techs every time, it seems like everybody quits or they can't retain any employees. And the manager/owner does not care about frustrated customers or "making things right" as they love to say every single time I tell them something is wrong. I seem to be stuck using them since everything is under warranty and I don't want to call another company and spend money to fix everything that they messed up. But it seems that's how it's going to be. I have resorted to writing a bad review because I'm still waiting for them to call me back after they told me to my face that they installed the new unit incorrectly and they sold me the incorrect one. These people came to my house and quoted us $1700 to change the gasket on the toilet flapper. When we said that was outrageous, they came back "after talking with a manager" with $1100. This company was great, especially Nick the Electrician that came to our house. We were having issues with our smoke detectors. I called Mighty & was pleased that someone answered the phone vs getting a voicemail. I was able to get an appointment the next day. Communication was wonderful - via email, text & phone call reminders of appointment. We even got a text letting us know our technician was on his way, including the name, bio, photo & tracking info. Nick arrived early, he was friendly & professional, as well as very competent & thorough in resolving our immediate problem. Nick also gave us a reasonable estimate for future work if needed. I wish I could give this company zero stars, but our new HVAC system seems to be working properly, so at least there's that. My complaint is with how incredibly shady and dishonest Mighty is. I booked them to come in for a simple tune-up. Instead, they pressured us into getting a new HVAC system to replace our old one, which was on its last legs. I balked at the price, but once they assured us we'd be getting up to a $5K rebate from Xcel, the total out of pocket cost seemed like a huge stretch but doable. Plus, they informed us the rebates were ending soon and the units themselves might even get more expensive in the new year. Not wanting to miss the chance and potentially have to deal with our system breaking mid-winter with babies in the house, we signed. That was a major mistake. The rebate that clinched the deal? First, Mighty lied and claimed they'd submitted the paperwork to Xcel, only to later reveal they had not submitted the paperwork at all. It took a lot of back and forth, but we finally got them to submit the paperwork as promised. Today, we learned the rebate was denied due to the system apparently not meeting requirements! Again, we only moved forward with this work because we were promised we could count on that rebate. We would not have agreed to it otherwise. They presented a very confident front that we would qualify for a significant rebate with this unit. Our paperwork even mentions the rebate in it. So now, we're on the hook for the full amount, and I'm sure we would have gotten a far better offer had we shopped around with other companies. Many lessons were learned in this process, unfortunately at great expense. Get a second (and probably third) quote before signing things. Don't trust the salesmen or the repair guy's "manager" (he's a salesman). Get EVERYTHING they say and promise in writing. But most importantly, just DO NOT work with Mighty Plumbing, Heating, Air and Electric. They are snakes. read more

Just wanted to say that the man they sent out to give us an estimate did a great job. His name was Luis Urquiza and he fully tested the water heater and connecting humidifier. He told us about several things we needed to get including a new shutoff valve and a water pressure regulator. Unfortunately we did not use Mighty this time because a property manager who has worked for the owner of the house for years has a staff member that can do this job at a much reduced rate, less than even Home Depot or Lowes. But Mr Luis did an excellent job and his knowledge helped us figure out what needed to be done. Thank you so much Mighty, for coming to give us a bid. Take care read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Mighty Plumbing Heating Air and Electric was extremely disappointing. I originally called for a plumbing leak, and during the visit I was upsold a tankless water heater and water softener system, which I financed through the company for around $15,000. While completing the work, the plumber accidentally spilled water onto a junction box in my laundry room, causing it to fail and require electrical repair. An electrician eventually came out after a missed appointment and replaced the junction box for over $1,000. Both the plumber and electrician told me this amount would be rolled into my existing financing, so I had no reason to believe otherwise. Two months later, I suddenly received a "Demand of Payment" email threatening collections/legal action if the electrical bill wasn't paid within a week. I immediately called, left voicemails, and sent multiple emails trying to clarify the misunderstanding, but received no response for days. When I finally reached Lori, she admitted she had seen my emails but had not read them, and I was told the balance could not be added to the loan despite what their employees had told me. The biggest issue was the lack of communication and customer service. The entire situation caused unnecessary stress and could have been handled much more professionally. I was (and still am) dealing with a foul odor in my townhouse. Mighty came out to do a free consultation, after which the technician advised me that I needed a $1200 process to remove the odor. He said it could either be a dead rodent or possibly some issue with water having gotten into the vents. I didn't totally understand that explanation, but the bottom line, he reassured me, was that the recommended process would resolve the issue. However, after I had paid the invoice, the cleaner finished the job and reported that he had found nothing that would explain or have removed the source of the odor, that he expects it will return once the deodorizer fades, and suggested we might be dealing with a different issue entirely. So I am out $1200 and still have the problem I paid Mighty to solve. Update: I received a message from Mighty in response to a negative review and have since tried calling the office on 3 different days, leaving messages with individuals who told me that a manager would get back to me. Or as the guy put it after my second call today when no one had called by evening: "I'll try to see if he can get back to you." Gee, thanks. Meanwhile, the issue still isn't resolved, and I'm stuck waiting for Jay to "try to see" if he can get a manager to call me back. Next update: I finally got a manager and was told I would get a full refund since nothing was actually done to resolve my issue, but since then, the Ops Manager seems to have disappeared. All of my calls and texts last week went unanswered, and I'm still out $1200. This has been one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. read more

Requested an appointment on their website on a Monday. I did everything they asked. Filled out the form. Chose the date. Even sent them the video they required to show the work. Silence. I finally call them to confirm. It takes the person on the other end twenty full minutes to dig up my request and the video I already sent. But hey, "No problem, we've got you booked 8am to noon." It's now 4pm. No call. No show. Nothing. I try calling again and I'm greeted by an AI receptionist that can't help with anything except telling me my time isn't worth theirs. If you enjoy sitting around all day wondering if a company actually exists, this is the service for you. If not, don't waste your time. They already wasted mine. read more

It took 3 visits from different plumbers from this company, all of which were very professional. However, they failed to diagnose the root cause of my problem. Instead, they proposed a solution that would have cost me $3,000, plus the cost to replace bathroom tile and drywall. A different large plumbing company provided an estimate of more than $6,000 for this same work. After trying 3 different plumbers, I tried a third, Clayton Plumbing. The Master Plumber, Matt Ray, took the time to determine & fix the root cause of the issue and charged me $290 for this work. Do not use this company. In February my heat stopped working so they inspected it and said I need to replace the motor fan and wiring. I agreed because I didn't want a new unit (which they were pushing for $10,000). The repairs they did cost $4,000+. Then this summer the AC stops working. I call them out to see if something may have happened with the parts they had replaced in the furnace. They inspect it and tell me it's a possible refrigerant leak and that the repair would be over $6,000 so I should just get a new unit which they quoted me at $18,000. INSANE. I called a great local company and they told me that this company did not even look or change the internal filters. They made an assumption that there was a refrigerant leak which there isn't. The motor they previously installed is a cheap aftermarket one, the wiring was done poorly, and the furnace was set to the lowest setting so it wasn't pushing air through well enough which is what was causing it to freeze over!!! The filter was completely clogged, settings incorrect, and poor work on the wiring and motor. They could have easily fixed this but chose not to, so they could charge me and insane amount on fixing it or a new unit. I will only be using them if I need to for warranty reasons for the cheap parts that I overpaid them to install. DONT USE THEM. read more

I also have had a terrible time getting them to cancel their monthly fee for service. I have been working on this for 6 months, they won't call back !! Advertising on google "$69 tankless water heater maintenance", I scheduled an appoint for this service. Night before the appointment, I receive a text to confirm the appointment, but no time is given (no time was given when the appointment was made, just a day). So, I have to plan to be home all day.... Day of service, I receive a text and a call, around 11am, after waiting from 8am that I was next on the schedule, an hour later a technician arrives. I had scheduled a "tankless water heater maintenance", but the technician does not come to my place with any tools to do the service. He proceeds to ask me what I need, I show him the tankless water heater and tell him what I requested. I works on his pad for a several minutes, then quotes me $549.00 or something close to that to do the "maintenance". I show him the website advertising $69.00 for the service, he calls his office. They still want $500.00+ to do the work, I tell them I'll pass. Pure Bait and Switch. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. read more

Do not trust this company!!! They came out for a suspected leak and tried to push me into 10k+ of unnecessary work. That would have involved taking out a fence and digging up my backyard. The problem was actually the cities fault and rather than having me call the city when it was identified...they charged me $1400 for 10 min worth of work. They assured me everything was documented in photos so I could submit the issue to the city and then actually had no pictures they could provide. I received multiple quotes from other vendors and Mighty Heating was very reasonable and spot on. Highly recommend! I became a VIP member as well which saved me more money on the repair as well as maintenance for my other large fixtures (A/C and tankless water heater). Incredibly disappointed in the overall service and quality especially in follow through. Had a mini split system installed. Showed up to appointment without equipment they needed in order to complete installation so it was rescheduled. They didn't completely seal the roof causing a leak which required professional mitigation and several more visits. Missed installation of line hide which was on quote and had to return another time to do so. Didn't pull required permit which was also on quote, had to return to do this. Finally the biggest issue, they stated the installation qualified for Xcel and Denver Rebates which both have pre-approval processes for the company to go through. Assumed they did that important step before putting those rebates on the invoice. Apparently they did not and didn't install the right equipment resulting in all the rebates being denied. Despite numerous follow up with both the company and the city they refused to follow through on their written guarantees. Created significant financial issues and had to engage the legal system in order to try to rectify the situation. Highly recommend staying away from this company and finding a company that will stand behind their written word, and that provides a more organized, consistent, and higher quality work. read more

What he was telling me wasn't matching up so I called another company for a second opinion. Mighty provided my pictures of "my" cracked furnace. The other company reviewed the pictures and did a full diagnostics. The pictures were not of my furnace. The issue was fixed with a $30 part for a total of $160; compared to Mighty telling me I needed to spend $20,000 for a new furnace @ A/C. I tried to call to speak with the manager, Mark. After repeated attempts I received to response. Don't get scammed. This is not a reputable, honest company. read more

When it first opened I like them. Last visit was quoted 2300 dollars to run a thermostat wire no more than 12 feet. Another company ran a new wire for less than 100 dollars and shared my same feels forward their quote. They are unethical and don't walk run away Also tech who did a maintenance call put stickers all over my furnace to ensure I knew who to call. My home is not a fire hydrant for you to mark. I scheduled an appointment to get my swamp cooler serviced and running as it's still winterizes and the heat has been getting to be too much to manage with just fans... My appointment was confirmed however just two days before my appointment they canceled on me and told me their next available day isn't for more than a week after my original appointment. Add to that they won't schedule a time window so you have to commit to being home the entire day and I'm a lot more than just "inconvenienced". My name is Betty Watson I was born In 1928 and I want to write a professional bad review on a google review site but I am not good with words. This company is named mighty plumbing heating & electric and sent a technician over to my home, he was very pushy and told me he had to have his manager come over within being at my home for 15 minutes. I am old but I am sharp! This "manager of his" repeated all the things the first guy said and said the only option was to replace the system and it was unsafe and I could die if I did not replace it ASAP. Based on my searches 30,000+ for a furnace and AC is VERY high even if it was their higher end model I only have an 1100 sqft home. All of my family members are pushing me to sue them, they have blocked my number and won't answer my calls and told me that I signed so I am at fault. To make matters worse the salesman promised me 6500$ guaranteed in rebates, come to find out my building does not even apply for these rebates and I got 0$ back, they refuse to make up for it even though I have it in writing.
