BBQ Pulled Chicken and Brussel sprouts
Jessy L.

My employer catered food here a couple of times and it did not disappoint! This place is underrated because the food and portions are absolutely perfect. The Pulled Chicken, macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoe, baked beans, and white rice tastes delicious. I will definitely order on my own time in person or via Uber eats in the near future. If you enjoy Morgan's BBQ and/or Dinosaur BBQ, you will certainly enjoy the food here as well.

The problem with Yelp is the problem with the Public School system: grade inflation. Everyone wants their kid to get an A so they pass out A's like leis at the airport in Hawaii. Like Oprah giving away cars. And while I try to save my 5 star reviews I'm guilty of giving 4's when 3's would probably be more accurate because a 3 feels like a ding. Which leads me to Mighty Quinn's. I thought the food was very good. So it deserves 4 stars. 4 stars is for very good food. Not great. But really very good with no complaints. The place is cute it looks like a barbecue place that aliens might make after googling barbecue place. Like if they beamed a person ho to study them they might build a prison that looked like this and the person might think, "oh, I guess I'm in a barbecue place." I thought the woman who waited on me was a delight. So friendly. And she kept calling me, "my love". Who doesn't like that? I had the brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese. It comes with coleslaw and you can choose a drink or cornbread. I opted for cornbread. They also have 3 barbecue sauces on the table. A Carolina mustard based one. Very mustard forward. Is that a complaint? A barbecue one which was fine. It tasted like barbecue sauce. And a chili like one with a creamy base. That was a little hot for me. But I am a wimp when it comes to heat. Brisket was very tender and tasty. Pickled onions were nice. Pickles were kind of one note. Mac and cheese was better than a lot of them. But also fairly one dimensional and could have used a bit more salt. Was there salt? I didn't see it. Coleslaw was good. Vinegar based. I liked the cornbread. Moist with a good crumb. If this was an alien prison. Which I can not stress enough- it was not. I would have been happy to stay for a while. There seemed to be a lot of options. But once I had tried everything man I would have led a rebellion. If you enjoyed this review you might enjoy my book linked in my profile.

I got the ribs and the sausage along with a side of sweet potatoes. The ribs were pretty average. Not as tender or fall off the bone as I'd like. Not much flavor so bbq sauce was needed. The sausage was pretty greasy but had flavor. The sweet potatoes had cinnamon and was prettt heavy to consume but it was good. No complaints there.

3 Meat Sampler with sausage, pulled pork and ribs

Now I have been eager to try this place out and saw Uber eats had a special buy 1 get 1 free so I ordered the sampler. I ordered extra pickled onions as well and fries. Well I was highly upset because I only received one order of the sampler and one order of pickled onions. Tried to dispute the order with uber eats and showed my photo but only received a $5 credit for $40 order even though this restaurant did not give me my entire order. So basically the online service in not competent for this restaurant. Now for the food, the ribs were delicious. The pulled pork tasty good once I added the Bbq sauce. The fries were soggy and not hot. They put in a side of cole slaw that was dry. Well the fiasco of the order meant my visiting from out of town guest had to share my one order since we didn't get two.

My lonely two pickle rounds

I was in Gowanus passing by and noticed their lunch special, sandwich and a side for 12.99 (up charge for Brisket), which is a really good price. I got the pulled pork sandwich and a side of baked beans. Beans at BBQ spots have been hit or miss for me (my favorite is Izzy's in Crown Heights). These were some of the best Baked Beans I have ever had. Sweet, a kick of heat, and big pieces of tender beef. The pulled brisket was tender and flavorful; they were a little salty for my taste, and I love salt. If there had been a tad less salt, it would've been perfect! The sandwich overall was still excellent. They had an array of homemade BBQ sauces. I liked the South Carolina one best, but they all slapped! I have one gripe which is the kiosk where I ordered gave me a choice of pickled vegetables, and I just got pickles, and it literally was 2 tiny pickle rounds, you can see it in the picture. Further, someone didn't pick up their order, so the worker there just gave it to people in the restaurant, which was really nice. Lastly, it felt spacious and cozy to me.

Ahh good ol' Mighty Quinn's. This was a frequent spot for me about 8-9 years ago and I always found that it tasted amazing. Fast forward to now and it is actually better than I remember. I saw they now had kiosks which is what I used to make my large order and it took basically no time at all before I was out the door bag in hand. It's a cozy setup inside but I wouldn't necessarily recommend dining in as I'd imagine it can get pretty crammed on a busy night. Now onto the food itself. I ordered 1 full pound of Brisket which was SO ABSOLUTELY tender. I couldn't even pick it up with my fork without it falling off and apart. I also ordered burnt ends sandwich but sadly they were all out of burnt ends, so I instead ordered(you guessed it) a brisket sandwich. The bun was nice and soft, piled with nice fatty pieces(just as I requested) of thick, tender brisket. Additionally I ordered another one of my go-tos; the dirty fries. Fries covered in bbq sauce and burnt ends(which I think they used brisket instead). These were crispy yet soft which was unexpected considering I ordered to go and had a long drive home. I see they've also added dirty rice which I will definitely try next go round. Greedy me also ordered a pint of Mac and cheese. Very tasty, very cheesy and I do definitely recommend it. Last but certainly not least I ordered cornbread. My only complaint was how small it was. If I known the size beforehand I would have ordered multiple. The cornbread tasted just like how my grandmother used to make it and needless to say that cornbread didn't make it home.

On a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was pretty calm and there was plenty of seating open. We didn't have to wait too long for our food. The Brisket Sandwich was simple but good. The bread itself didn't stand out, but it paired well with the brisket. The brisket wasn't too greasy. The Mac & Cheese was good, my boyfriend kept reaching over for more. The cornbread wasn't bad, but I did wish it had been warmed up.

Very professional and friendly service! I was able to get a draft beer and a dish. My kid had the chicken tenders and fries but the chicken was a bit "spicy" according to her

Cornbread

Fast and friendly service. There's seating but it seemed to be a mostly to-go place. The chicken wings were the best part of our order, great cook on them, well rendered out. The mac and cheese was also good, cooked al dente and flavorful sauce. The ribs were just ok, didn't have that falling off the bone tenderness and were a bit dry. The brisket was good, although some pieces were also dry. The cornbread was cold, dry, and the worst part of our order.

Family meal. Enough to feed 4 people for dinner AND breakfast the next day.

WOW!!! Come here for good BBQ...stay for the highly addictive sides. This place took over Fletcher's old space and it is MIGHTY GOOD!!! They JUST opened this new space and the place runs like it's been here forever. Orders are delivered fast, hot, and DELICIOUS!!! I have had ribs, brisket, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, sausage, and spicy chicken sandwich. ALL good and consistent! The pickled chili peppers and cucumbers are soooooooo addictive, I can't get enough. I thought about ordering a pint of each and just eating that....but I don't want to miss out on the bbq meats.

My friends and I visited Mighty Quinn's Bar after attending Fool's Circle's Comedy show in Prospect Park. It's only a 6 minute drive from the park which was convenient for me and my hungry friends! The restaurant itself was very clean, the air conditioner was blasting and the music was bumping. There's seating outdoors on the sidewalk. I loved their bathroom decor and their full length mirror. Perfect for mirror pics if you're into that...like me. Lol The employees were also super friendly! I ordered the Spare Ribs (4), Mac and cheese, with a cream soda. The spare ribs were really good, nice and juicy, I just wish I would've gotten it when it was hot. By the time I received it, it had cooled. There was bbq sauce on every table so of course I drowned my ribs in it. The Mac and cheese was veryyy creamy and cheesy. I'm usually a fan of the creamy Mac and cheese but it was a bit too much and I wouldn't have gotten it if I knew it was like this so be mindful! One of my other friends ordered the Mac and cheese with the wings since she doesn't eat pork and I would say that her wings were pretty small. Seems like it would be more suited as an appetizer for the table. All in all, I would recommend if you want some bbq!

Sometimes the best finds happen when you're focused on family and stumble into excellence. The food is the real deal. Bold, authentic, and done with discipline. Lines at all the big spots (Red Hook Tavern, Brooklyn Crab, and Hometown) were long, but we decided to wait it out and get food here. Lines was not just long but didn't move for a bit. Despite that we were able to get seating. Like many BBQ places, you order at the register and they'll give you whatever is already prepare and then bring over the rest of your order at your table. Best dish by far was the Korean sticky ribs. The pulled pork sandwich wasn't great; not hot at all, just room temperature. The Vietnamese wings had good flavor but the skin is very tight (it's an order of a few whole wings, not drums and flats). Cornbread and dill pickles were great, potato salad was a bit too vinegary for me. They had the US World Cup match on, but not the audio until after they scored a goal. Felt like they forgot to switch the audio. A little disappointing. Overall a good but not mind blowing experience.

While it's a pricier meal, all the food that you get is well worth it. I really loved how many different kind of meat, seafood, veggies, and more that they have. The fact that it's all on skewers makes cooking and eating easy. It's truly such a wonderful dining experience. We came with a large party of 11 and we were more than satisfied. Everything was delicious and I love how easy it is to get more skewers on your own. They also have a large selection of drinks from soy milk to herbal teas. In the end, you also get ice cream although the flavors are pretty basic here. Note that if you pay in cash, you get free durian, which is nice and creamy.

I wanted to come back for the stone crab which they sadly didn't have this time. They had blue crab and clams this time, so I'm assuming there might be some seasonal items. They also have new desserts on the house which were nice (See brown sugar rice cakes picture. These were too sweet for me but they were free so I can't complain).
