Good Mexican food. Big portions help mitigate the high prices, but then again most things in Moab are a bit spendy given that it's a rural yet resorty area of the desert. Our only complaint was the line and wait. We had a larger sized party of 5 and waited quite a long time on a Friday night. But that goes to show you the food is good and demand is high. read more

We spent 3 nights In Moab and after eating at Miguel's the first night, we didn't have any reason to go somewhere else. First off, I'm not sure you will ever get service this good at any other restaurant. The staff are attentive and super quick to notice if anything needs replenishing. You just don't have to ask. Secondly, the food is so so good. All of the sauces and salsas are clearly homemade and tasty. The meat is also noticeably of higher quality than most Mexican restaurants I've tried. Miguel's isn't the cheapest Mexican food around, but with the quality, and the unbeatable service, I'd recommend it to anyone in Moab! read more

This place is Celiac friendly! I called before we arrived and spoke to the manager. They were aware of what celiac was. They understood that they needed to do globe change. That no gluten could touch my food. That my food had to be cooked in its own area on clean pans. I clarified that everything I was ordering could be cooked safely and did not contain gluten. I ordered shrimp with rice, veggies, salad and corn tortilla. The chips and salsa are also gluten free. I felt fine the same day after eating the food as well as the next day. read more

Environment: - On a visual basis, this little restaurant was very colorful and cute. The outdoors section where we were seated was pleasant with a refreshing breeze, that swayed the flowers to and fro making a pleasant atmosphere. Drinks: - The menu and descriptions of this restaurant boasted some of the best margaritas in town. They shouldn't have. First of all, although they state that they are made from scratch and fresh they do not taste as such. In fact they have an after taste and consistency of a pre-made store bought mixture. One would think, if you boast the best margaritas in town you could at least serve them in margarita glasses and not a water glasses that do nothing but disappoint. Food: - " made fresh" they should have added from a can to that statement in order to properly reflect the freshness and taste. The seafood was bland and over cooked with a freezer after taste to boot. The veggies were improperly cooked as well, substantially undercooked and hard with hardly any flavoring at all. Forget about the baja fish tacos, you might as well go to a fast food place and get a faster cheaper and better deep fried mess. Price: - Overpriced. Although this is as expected in a tourist town, the quality of the food was so bad that this was a substantially disappointing hit to the wallet. Service: - The staff was friendly and pleasant. Our mistake was not making a reservation but were able to put our name on the list and were told it would be about 40 minutes and to walk around. The hostess was sweet and wanted to make sure that people came back, however she told most people the same amount of time and that was unrealistic. Seems she needs some more training because she was stressed out trying to handle so many different people. Our wait staff was fine but our meals were not. This place is really good. They get crowded, and it's long and narrow so there is more seating than you realize at first glance. The great thing is you can put your name in and then walk around Main Street killing time before you get your table. We went to dinner last night in Moab after arriving for a visit. We had to wait an hour but we able to get in line and go walk around while we waited. Once we got seated, we got very consistent and good service. The food was decent. We had guacamole and chips for an appetizer and enjoyed the fresh guacamole, salsa and chips. This place is legit. There's nothing fancy about it (although their use of space between 2 buildings is cool) and the menu is pretty standard / traditional as far as Mexican restaurants go. But, both times I've been here, it's ridiculously fresh, perfectly cooked and very generous in portion. Tonight I had the Mahi Salad with a not-so-traditional Miso-Mango dressing that was beyond delicious. I will definitely come back for this knowing that delicious seafood and fresh greens do actually exist in the middle of a desert. When dining in small towns near National Parks, I have trained myself to keep my expectations LOW. Mexican is usually the safest bet. How surprising, then, to find such a charming little place for dinner! Miguel's is a great dinner option when staying in Moab. The patio is a wonderful place to relax, and the excellent service put us right at ease. The salsa was wonderful, with lots of cilantro, just how I like it! I had the M.O.A.B (Mother of All Burritos), and I found it refreshingly different! The wet sauce was VERY spicy, which made me VERY happy, though getting charged for a side of sour cream to cool my tongue made me not-so-happy.
