Fajitas were sizzling hot, beans and rice tasty. Second time eating there and we will return again.

Birthday party for my son. They sang happy birthday and went out of the way for us to make it festive. Service here is always fast and joyful. In the past 10 years did we have to wait and it was a big table, so I expected the wait. This is a favorite place for us. The atmosphere is very comfortable. The fiesta Burger is delicious if you have a person who wants American food. I am still trying every thing on the menu which is all good. read more

The service was excellent and it is a huge space for a restaurant plenty of seating. Salsa and chips were good as well as the food was excellent. The wait was practically non existent. Food was good, this spot is a bit further down past the Stateline of Indiana / Kentucky Bridge across the Ohio. A great job is being done to be compliant on social distancing and cleaning. Masks are worn and couldn't have enjoyed our meal more. There is an outside dining area too. Enchiladas good, preferably chicken over the ground beef. Chile Relleno, basically a stuffed pepper, was very good. but missing something. Chips warm and fresh, salsa okay and very mild. Extra fresh and extra sweet tea. Side tip..... The place wasn't clean first of all. I am from Arizona and this food was not good mexican food. I ordered a taco salad which should have beans meat lettuce tomatoes lettuce pico de gallo guacamole and sour cream this salad had meat lettuce and tomato and sour cream. Food was the typical Tex Mex style which is what we expected, especially for a town like Brandenburg. We went in on a weekday night about an hour prior to closing. Service was quick and refills came without us having to ask. Salsa was subpar, which is what I base alot of my ratings for Mexican restaurants off of. Gotta have good salsa. Going here just makes my day complete! Granted I only get the quesadilla here but I used to eat some of the other menu items and they are all amazing! The staff is excellent. During covid they give numbers for pick ups and you can easily dine in. I really feel at home when coming to Miguel's. The only weird things that have happened are that sometimes the lettuce has too much water but they will gladly help with anything you need replaced if the food is not to your satisfaction. read more

Consider me a tough critic when it comes to Mexican food since my best comparison is San Diego style Mexican food. Understandably, the ability to get the same ingredients that are available on the west coast is a challenge it's also hard to compare when you are dealing with food from a different region. Most of the restaurants in the KY area Jalisco style Mexican. So their approach to menu items I'm used to are different. I ordered a Shredded Beef Chimichanga. Overall, the item was good. It was either that or I was just that hungry. It could've been both. The size of it was just enough to fill me but still not in the style of presentation that I'm used to. The most disappointing thing with every Mexican restaurant I've been to here so far is NO horchata! :( My goal is to learn how to make it at home myself and bring it when I come into a restaurant. read more

We went on a Fall ride and stumbled on this little gem. The food was very fresh....from the chips & salsa to the tortillas, the toppings were fresh and tasty as well. I was impressed with the ground beef seasoning as most Mexican restaurants just boil the meat and it has such a bland flavor...not here! Prior to the relocation, the food and service were fantastic. This week was the first and only time I'll be dining at Miguel's. The food was decent but the service was absolutely terrible. I had to ask for silverware 3 times before I asked the manager for some. I think we only saw our waiter once and that was when we brought us our food after a 30 minute wait. My mom ordered basic burritos, my dad had enchiladas and I simply ordered tacos on a pretty slow evening. So to wait for our food for that long isn't reasonable. I should not have to physically get out of my booth to ask for service, multiple times at that. Not too sure what happened to the staff from the old location but they're missed. read more

I've been to Mexico, not the tourist spots either and this is NOT authentic. That being said, the food and wait staff seemed much better when they were over by Kroger. There salsa seems like a tomato sauce, chicken broth mix. While I guess it can technically be called salsa, it can't be called a good one. I've tried several things on the menu, the food is always over cooked and just ok. So if your looking for ok, this place will do. But I would suggest taking the 15 min extra drive to Corydon and go to Los Napolas. read more

The service is always great here and the food is awesome. They have 32oz beer available if you would like...might even have been 36, either way they are huge and you get the bang for for you buck. We have been eating here over the last year and have experienced a serious decline in service and in salsa. The salsa once the best around recently is watered down so much it is drippy and taste like water down tomato sauce. Salsa and chips are one the main reasons you enjoy a Mexican dinner. Miguel's is about as good as you are going to get in this region of the US. It is pretty close to authentic and while they don't offer things like Horchata or serve breakfast like they have in TX and CA they have a decent menu. Been there at least 4 times. Last 2 times in June at the new place near H&R block. Nothing really has changed which I like. Always reasonable prices, food and drinks are consistently good. Fried ice cream was OK although the last one was better than I expected. Definitely a good place to try. Margaritas are worth a shot if you are into those sort of drinks. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Not to hate, simply to be quite truthful. My wife and I have been here 3 times, over the course of a 1 year period. Every time, we had to wait 1 hour before our food came out, followed by never being checked on thereafter and ending with being forgot about. Literally, every time we finished our evening by tapping our thumbs and getting up to walk out (we paid). When our waitress finally saw us exiting, we would see her near the bar tending to her other table(s) and giving all of her attention to them, even seeing her eating. The facial expression she gave us said it all... Oops! This is not a joke. Between the long waits, unbelievably horrible customer service, lack of authentic Mexican menu creativity (you guys see a menu online? Didn't think so), and forgetting to pack main items in the very few take out orders we've had, never again. Should be mentioned my wife and I are a bi-racial couple. Why is it that everybody else seems to have had a great time and other waitresses tending to them promptly, but not us? And on every occasion by the same waitress? Makes me wonder. fantastic food , good atmosphere . only problem I have is when I got in here there is a grown man who stares at me , and not just casually. he was back cooking and when he would have to walk away from there he would poke his head out and stare while cooking .
