Jalapeño Hummus
Chris H.

Very, very clean restaurant with friendly services. Everything we ate tasted great. Just wish the plates were brought out together. We received our salad before the protein (for the salad) so maybe working on timing for items out of the kitchen or holding back the salad until the protein was ready but otherwise a really great lunch spot. Hope you check it out and I know we'll be back!

Cute little restaurant in Tempe. Easy parking. Very clean an and cozy. Greeted with a smile and specials were explained. I ordered a gyro and salad with a drink. Food tasted great and exactly what I expected. 10% discount for cash so come prepared. I'll be back!

We found this place because we actually came looking for for Mac Daddy Wingz and they were closed. It was a late Tuesday night and not busy. There was one, maybe two, workers. She was friendly and helpful. The place was clean and quiet. We got the following: 1. Loaded fries - the fries were crunchy and fresh. They had the yogurt dipping sauce over it and it was delicious 2. Large plate with beef and lamb with side salad - yummy! The lamb/beef was tender and flavorful. So so good! 3. The Mediterranean wrap - my favorite. I usually save half of my meal to eat later but it was so good I ate whole thing and was full into the morning! Will definitively come again!

What a great value for the huge amount of food they give you!! The staff was so amazingly friendly and were so quick to prepare my food. The gyro meat and rice were delicious and the hummus and tzatziki were such a good addition of flavor. I was also craving soup and got their lemon garlic lentil soup, which was also a great mix of flavor and textures. If you're looking for a filling dinner on a budget, this is a great option. I took the food to go, but there was a decently sized dining room to sit and enjoy your food as well. No patio seating though.

Love this place! I've come in many times and every time is great. Employees are friendly and attentive. The dining room is always spotless and is quaint but cute. And the food... DELICIOUS! Everything is always fresh and flavorful.

I LOVE Mika's Greek original gyro wrap with a side of lentil soup and an order of honey walnut baklava for desert. The gyros, lentil soup, and baklava are very flavorful here & high quality; plus the price points are extremely reasonable based on the portion sizes. Mika's is clean, the staff is kind, and your food is served quickly. I have eaten at Mika's several times at this point; and the quality of food and the service has always been consistent each time. I would highly recommend Mika's because it is great Greek food for a great price!

The food was incredible! It took me to Greek for a lifetime trip, and the service from the cashier was stupendous! He made you feel like you were important. The environment was very calming and makes you excited to enjoy a good meal, it's not too busy.

The Gyro is awesome, their fries a very tasty. The place is clean and very tidy. I have eaten there several times and will be going back. Service is grand, and they really appreciate your business. No matter how busy they are the food come out quickly, hot and yummy. Not open on Sunday, which is a good thing. So support this family restaurant.

Gyro Original Wrap

Fast casual Greek spot for lunch. Ordered the original gyro wrap to eat. Order came out very quickly, the gentleman taking orders was very friendly and quick with service. The gyro meat overall was okay, would've like more salt or seasoning, and was not very warm.

Afterwards, he mentioned that he tasted it and agreed about our comments- I appreciate that level of attention. Shortly after, the food arrived. Spicy pork tacos for me, and BLTA for my wife. The tacos looked a little overdressed. I was so wrong. Flavor and texture were balanced perfectly. The tortillas were firm, but again, perfectly suited to the juicy pork, that had a teriyaki vibe. Sprouts, carrot and cucumber toppings worked well, despite my expectations. The BLTA was HUGE. Great flavor. Both entrees were ordered with sweet potato fries. Unusual cut to them, but seasoned perfectly. I paired mine with chipotle aioli and ate every last one. My only complaint is that I'm only spending one evening in the Phoenix area, and won't be back soon. I would eat this food three times a week without hesitation.

The restaurant and outdoor entertainment complex is huge and has a really fun, energetic vibe. According to the bartender, they have ping-pong, pickleball, and a big upstairs outdoor patio with amazing views of Tempe and the surrounding area. There's also a large parking lot, lots of outdoor seating, and even a dog park area, which makes it really easy to spend time here. The bartenders and wait staff were very friendly. Azbel was a great server. I had the bistro steak and fries and the Szechuan lettuce wraps, and both were really good. Portions were generous. During late-night happy hour my total was about $55 for a main entrée, an appetizer, a cocktail, and tip, which felt like a great deal. I was pleasantly surprised that happy hour runs every day Monday through Sunday from 3-6 PM and again from 8 PM to close. I also checked out the event venue on site, and it looks like it would be a great place for a company party, corporate event, or group gathering. I'll definitely be returning in the near future.

The lentils and deliciously flavored chips made the meal extra filling too! Loved this place!…read more First, we had to change our reservation, and the host could not have been nicer. On a busy Saturday night, he graciously allowed us to push it back by an hour, which we really appreciated. When we arrived, we were immediately impressed. The jungle theme, leopard prints, intimate booths, and dramatic overhead lighting created a fun, unique atmosphere. The service was excellent, the cocktails were delicious, and every dish we ordered was a hit. My son said it may have been the best steak tartare he's ever had (although neither of us was a fan of the plantain chips). It was certainly the best tartare I've had in a very long time, with generous chunks of high-quality steak instead of being overly minced. The baked brie dip was outstanding, the grilled oysters were excellent, and my New York strip was cooked perfectly. My only small criticism is that the oyster appetizer came with just three oysters. For a $19 appetizer, I'd love to see at least four. An even number also makes sharing much easier, although my son generously let me have the extra one! Overall, this is a fantastic concept with great food, great service, and a memorable atmosphere. We can't wait to come back.

Lastly, I got the miso cheesecake for dessert and the flavors were incredible! I love the animal and jungle themed decor in this upscale restaurant. We were seated right next to the big stuffed leopard which was fun. Our waitress was super personable but there were a few service mistakes. My entree was missing the potatoes it was supposed to come with. And when they boxed my meal, they didn't include everything like the salad and chimichurri sauce. Luckily I checked and was able to get everything added, but staff shouldn't be neglecting or throwing away part of my meal. I would definitely come back here though as the ambience and food were top notch!

I told her that even though neither of us are into spicy margaritas, I knew she'd love it and I was right! Every margarita was delicious. Another must have My friend ordered the Aztec Cake and insisted I'd regret not getting it. She was absolutely right. It was bomb and Torrance offered us a side of chips .TY. I ordered the short rib. It was flavorful, tender, and filling, with lots of garlic and savory flavor. I'm not sure if short rib is just not my thing, but it didn't wow me the way the Aztec Cake did. This recent visit was my third time having Ethiopian food, and I went in with an open mind. I remembered the last time I had Ethiopian food, I didn't really enjoy it. You have the option of choosing from their platters, or you can build your own. I created my own platter - I got the lamb dish (#5), the chicken dish (#3), and lentils (#9). These 3 dishes came on injera, which is a sour, fermented flatbread. It is basically a plate for the food, but you also use it to scoop up the meat/lentils to eat. My order also came with several more pieces of injera. The injera "plate" got soggy from the meat and lentils, so it was harder to use it to grab the fillings because it just kept falling apart. The chicken wasn't that great, so I wouldn't order that again, but the lamb dish and the lentils were sooo good. I had enough leftover for a second meal. I'm glad I gave Ethiopian food another chance! Next time, I would probably get the beef, lamb, and lentils.
