Did you know that when you leave a tip it doesn't go to the server or the cooks? You sign for your food and it asked for a tip when you sign, but that tip does not go to the servers it goes to the restaurant! It goes to the owners and the managers not the people working in upfront helping you select your food. I Thought they pooled their tips..means when I buy my dinner I'm giving an extra two or three dollars over the cost to the restaurant -it's wrong! I really enjoyed. The classic pita has great beef/lamb with red onion and tomato. My young son wanted no onion nor tomato and they easily accommodated. They have several other choices of pitas. Great location with counter service! Happy to have this near Downtown Tempe/ASU. I work in North Downtown Tempe (3rd & Mill) and shot quickly down here at 12:20pm. No line, and they made the food fresh in front of me. Took about 10 minutes for my food to be ready for dine in service. It was great! Lots of seating options. I normally would give Mika's 5 stars. We love their food. Tonight I order a Grilled Chicken plate via Uber eats and was really looking forward to it. When my order was dropped off I unpacked it immediately and there is no chicken in sight. I received gyro meat and I don't eat it. Please take better care in making sure your orders go out correctly. I've tried Mika's a few times now, and my honest opinion is that it's just sort of middle-of-road Greek. Both things I've tried weren't bad, nor were they as good as other restaurants serving up gyro and chicken kabob in the valley. They're neither expensive nor are they great bang for your buck. I love Greek food and my go to place is Pita Kitchen in the West valley. I ordered a large plate with beef and grilled chicken. The beef is bland with little flavor. It was like eating an old hamburger meat patty. I was kinda disappointed. It wasn't really bad but it's not that good either. Nothing worth going back to. Not quite a fan, unfortunately. The restaurant is very clean and has many tables for seating. It was empty when we first walked in around 11:30 am, and soon people were bustling for lunch rush. The employees at the counter are helpful when it comes to ordering and suggesting. However, for the type of food, I feel like it's overpriced. I ordered a falafel wrap with fries as my side. The "wrap" was gyro style with a pita bread so it was difficult to eat the falafel and enjoy the different sauces spontaneously. I was expecting shawarma style wrap. read more

Every time I walk into this place I know I'm going to have a great meal. This guy who runs the place (I'm assuming since he's always there) is extremely helpful and friendly. The food is always cooked to perfection and they bring your food out to you. They even check on you to make sure that everything is good. By far one of my favorite places to go. My kids love this place as well! My son's salad that you can see in the picture (he's one of the rare children in the world who loves salad and prefers it over anything) is always crisp and fresh. What a great lunch! I got the gyro with rice and it was really good. It tasted fresh and the rice was full of flavor, and the service was amazing! The gentleman who took my order was very sweet, brought me my food and even got my utensils when I forgot to get them myself.
