My Seattle dentist (Dr. Cris Simmons) is one of the top TMJ specialists in the world. His wife/secretary (Anna) referred me to Dr. Sanchez. I called for an appointment and was offered a free half-hour consultation. I phoned back Anna and she said that's a very good sign. She said that if they wanted me to make an appointment for x-rays, run the other direction. Lol During the consultation, it was clear that Dr. Sanchez had years of advanced specialized training with TMJ. He inspected my appliance and said he can definitely make one that's comparable. But even though it's slightly chipped in the front, it won't affect the functionality or comfort so it's not worth wasting my money on a new one. His advice was to continue using it until there's more serious wear. I felt relieved to find a dentist in my new city who's honest AND a highly experienced expert with TMJ.

I was given another bill and they told me they didn't know what was causing the pain but I may need another crown for $1200. Weeks later and the pain has resolved and I save $1200. This seemed like a scam and I won't be back. No answers but sure provided me with bills and billed my insurance.

After checking in, Alyssa took me to this upright machine to do X-rays. Then we went back for cleaning and more traditional x-rays. The view was really nice, a fountain running in the outdoor space you can see from the chair. Alyssa was great, I'm newer to Albuquerque so she was giving me tons of food recommendations, which I loved! The dentist came in for a few moments noted a tooth to watch and left. What I loved most about it is that the place is central and close enough to my place, that it won't stress me out trying to get there. Also, I found that they are open late until 7:30pm, which was all a plus to me! Now, I have been getting my teeth checkups twice at this point. My experiences had been quite acceptable. The staff at the frontdesks had always been nice. The dentists and assistants were ok (hit or miss I guess). But..they got their jobs done and didn't push for me to do any unnecessary procedures...yet (I mentioned this because I believe at some point...it may turn into this over time..but so far..just x-ray, cleaning and check up..and it was fine!). But so far..no cavities for me..and so..I guess I didn't have to pay anything OOP yet (just using my insurance). Overall, a decent place. I used to live in NE Albuquerque and the office was very convenient. I moved to Corrales a couple of years ago and the office is not nearly as convenient. Nevertheless, I wouldn't go anywhere else.
