The kind people behind the service desk let me use their free Level 2 charger in front of the Service department. They could have sent me to the paid charger around the corner. Sold me a lemon. Russian roulette dealership... Financed a used truck with 144,000 miles, was told it was very reliable which is what i was looking for as a college student... during the process , the customer service sucked & a bit hostile just because i wanted a break down of what i would be paying, contract details, etc. .. only started being nice after the paper work was signed and done.. seems they only care about selling vehicles even if it's not in the customers best interest.. the truck was older so a warranty could not be provided for some reason.. a month after having the truck my engine light came on.. took it to a shop, turned out to be an internal transmission issue that ran me 3400.. Was told this problem wasn't new and it looks like someone cleaned it and reset the dashboard lights to cover up the ongoing issue.. after that, I started having break issues, then found out they didn't have the decency to get the oil changed... had no oil! then to put the cherry on top, my a/c started blowing hot air... So during my first month of having the truck, spent around 4,5k... at this rate I could have financed a new truck! Not once was it even looked at. Called at 4pm to find out that information. No call or anything called all morning the next day no answer until after 10 am still no one looked at my car. My Jeep Gladiator Rubicon 2020, was dropped off on April 7, 2023 and after no phone calls or any available updates upon me calling every other, today April 18, 2023 I called again and my Jeep was ready. 12 days later. I received a link to a bill of almost $400. I was surprised and called the dealership again. A rude female was extremely racist, while mocking my spanish accent with continued statements of not understanding me. I was transferred to Leonard who was also rude and a bully. All my inquiry was if I had to pay upon picking up my Jeep or it was still under warranty. Leonard remained quiet on the phone, not answering my question and suddenly yells "come pick up your car already". I was amazed and also scared of this male yelling on the phone. I arrived to the dealership to pick up my Jeep and requested to speak to a supervisor. Leonard smirked and looked at me from bottom to top, completely trying to humiliate and belittle me and stated that she was not here. My Jeep was misfiring , and rear window would not roll up . I replaced the Ignition coil as was a problem before hand that had fixed it 2 years prior to taking it to mike smith . Still the same problem , misfiring spark plugs . I took it to Mike Smith as I was working 72 hour weeks and didnt have time to work on it (I am a mechanic) . They replaced the coil like I had done , even after they were told it was new . They said it never the less a bad coil . They were wrong and told me it was now the engine computer . To replace it would be $1000.00 give or take . I told them my coworker had his replaced for $400 . They said the price was higher because of covid . Funny How a part bought before covid sitting on a shelf can jump up in price . I toke my jeep to fix it myself after paying them over $800 for nothing but to replace a rear window switch , that they didnt even put the door cover back on ! People I bought a engine computer for about $200 . That fixed it . Dont let them tell you that they would have to program it for you . That is a lie . I bought my from ebay and it was plug and play (I did ask the ebay seller if he was sure it was , and it was ) . This is not all inclusive complaint . First Jacob Ybarra is a smart mouth and can't figure out how to communicate with clients. Then Mike Coleman continues to call which is confusing when you are already talking to Jacob. He then sends a text which even if you respond that you don't need his services he continues to harass and call. I had to threaten coming in to get him to stop. Terrible education with this group. My son purchased his first car from Mike Smith Dodge here in Beaumont about 30 days ago. Yes, the car is used, but the entire experience was just uncommon. First, after signing paperwork for the car, he left not knowing he should have received some finance paperwork. I advised him, you need that, there is no way for us to know who the finance company is or the actual interest rate you're paying. He called the dealership several times and was told by Brett, several times there was no paperwork. Now you all know, there is paperwork. Two weeks go by, I call we get the paperwork. Full of lies and not what we agreed he would pay for the car, to include the extended warranty. Fast forward, son gets stopped by the police, because they ran the tag and the temp tag belonged to someone else. He was detained for an hour and a half proving the car was not stolen. It gets better, the car breaks down and sits for 14 days until the extended warranty kicks in. I called to see if Mike Smith Dodge could call Mike Smith Nissan and have them tow the car. That did not happen! Yes, they said they would pay us back, but it's the principle at this point because of so many issues. I spoke with Chuck the GM, he said he would get on it and get the car issues fixed. Brett called me, after a few exchanges, he called me a bitch.. I recently took my Jeep in to have recall service performed and have my driver's side blinker fixed. I was originally told it would only take a few hours but I didn't get it back until the next afternoon. When I got it back and started to drive, several alerts came up on my dashboard and I immediately took it back. The man at the service desk was rude about me bringing it back for the alarms to be assessed. They said the alarms were nothing and cleared them. Also, there was trash left in my car that was not there when I dropped it off. After maybe one week, the blinker stopped working again and I took it back. This time they said it was a different problem with the same blinker and charged another $250 to fix it when they had charged me $150 two weeks ago to "fix" it. I will not be returning to this dealership and do not recommend others to go either. I would like to add that the women that helped me were knowledgeable, kind, and easy to communicate with, which is the reason I'm giving a two star rating instead of one. read more

So I have been using Mike Smith Service department for my mom's Honda (they are just as awesome over there) and on the Dodge side for my Dodge truck. Great service. I took my truck in for a recall and an oil change...... Chris the service rep called me and said, "The tech working on your truck saw that your AC wasn't resetting correctly and found the issue - he fixed that and it was under warranty so there is no charge." WHAT? You look for and fix extra things and there is no charge?? And of all things AC in Texas! You get all of my business. This dealership is really out to hit top marks in all areas for customer service. If you have a problem with their work, they really work to fix it. I love that. read more

Allow me to start with a bit of background. My 20 year old son has been looking for a Charger RT for a few months now. They are just out of his price range, generally speaking. We expanded our search to nationwide after several failed local attempts. We were willing to drive across CA even and couldn't get any real commitment, sometimes not even a response from dealerships. Tuesday, we found Mike Smith CJDR. My son is learning to navigate on his own as this is his first major purchase. Denver Williams at this dealership has been amazing! He has been over the top responsive with calls and text messages. My son was even approved on his own and I wasn't looking forward to having to co-sign. We are awaiting paperwork to sign and to submit a cashier's check as the down payment tomorrow. They were also willing to help arrange transporting the car to CA for us. While I found a third party transport, I quite appreciated the willingness to help! Buying a car is often difficult! Add a young person with little established credit, an over protective mom looking over every detail and being half way across the country trying to purchase and it's down right exhausting. I set an appointment with Mike Smith Chrysler service when my Jeep died in town. Luckily I only live in Houston and I came back to town for it after leaving it there for a week. I had my Jeep picked up by the roadside assistance and they took my Jeep even though it was late. I was informed that it may not be until the following business day until they even could even look at my Jeep to diagnose it and tell me what was wrong with it due to their back up. However, they called me a few hours later and told me they had the opportunity to diagnose it. It was, fortunately, the starter but they could not promise it would be done by the end of the day. However, they called me as they were closing and informed they fixed it and could take my payment over the phone and leave my keys with the sales department. They completed and fixed my Jeep in a matter of 4 hours compared to the original thought not having an opportunity to look at it until two days later. We have used Mime Smith Dodge several times and just know that they are slow. You take it In and know that. I think we were really ripped off about a gas tank, can't prove that - But the most ridiculous one is we took our car in for them to replace a defective tank they put on our car and I mentioned my battery was low on my FOB - ask that they replace it. Got car back, they charged me $45.16 to replace a battery. Nissan only charges $5.00. I went online to Chat person - she said manager would call me back. Still waiting on that call. I called first about having a front license plate holder drilled and installed. The parts dept told me it was free and to just bring my car in. My husband went down there and ended up leaving because not only did they leave him waiting for almost 30 min, they drilled holes and then didn't have a license plate holder for our 2013. They're excuse was that they thought it was a 2018 even though they looked it up by the vin #. It wasn't free, they charged us $30, and then reversed it since we were dissatisfied with the service or lack there of. We ended up going to auto zone and getting a plate holder and then discovered the guy who drilled the holes stripped on of them so it won't hold. Terrible service! read more

The quality control and the ability to explain to the costumer what is wrong with their car is extremely lacking. I asked to be shown what was wrong with my alignment since my previous experience with the front staff they do not understand what is done to the vehicles. When I was taken back to see my vehicle, the mechanic ignored my greetings, first thing he said to me as he brought me to his computer was 'this was in my notes'. Purchased a new 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK from Mike Smith in Beaumont, Texas. First I have to say the sales person did a great job. We later noticed that the back floorboard carpet was wet and started to smell like mold. We could see water dripping down the B pillar on the inside of the vehicle. Brought it into Mike Smith in November of 2019 and they were unable to locate a leak. Got it home and removed the padding round the roll bars and observed water leaking in with a slight rain. Sent a video of the leak to them and brought it back. They had the vehicle over a week and advised they fixed the leak. Got the vehicle home and located a leak. They again replaced several seals (they said) and keep the vehicle for an extended period. In total the vehicle was brought in 4 times and keep by them for over 30 days. On January 27th, 2020, after having the vehicle for over two weeks , they assured us that the Jeep was fixed. Service Department said they had their best mechanic (with over 30 years of experience with Jeeps) fix it. Well when we picked up the Jeep it was missing several keepers and not put back together. We checked to see if it was leaking and well you guessed it, it was still leaking. Upon advising Service Department that the Jeep was still leaking he advised that they would not look at it anymore. Was told that the Service Manager (Curtis) had exhausted their work and cannot do anything else. That we could bring the Jeep somewhere else. So basically Mike Smith sold us a brand new $50,000 Jeep Wrangler that was leaking and they refused to fully fix the problem. The vehicle is under factory warranty. Dump their customers with vehicles that have warranty issues. Be advised that they will not finish warranty work on your vehicle. What's really sad is I was about to buy another vehicle from them, but heck with that. read more

Exceptional sales experience, but their maintenance and service department is subpar. They are unprofessional, incompetent, arrogant, and by far the rudest group of people I have ever experienced. They definitely need some training in customer relations. I will no longer use this location for service, nor recommend anyone do so. I dropped my vehicle off for a scheduled appt that took almost two weeks to get. It stayed on their lot for the entire day and they could not find the problem. My vehicle was damaged while there and conveniently NO ONE knew what happened. It just basically scratched itself. When I spoke with them about it, then they were able (within an hour) to find all sorts of damage that could not be previously found before to cover their butts. All of a sudden I need a new tire, a new rim, and my vehicle isn't safe to drive, but before I noticed the scratch, my was car parked in the lot ready to go. Even more conveniently the newly found damage that they said I was responsible for was located near the scratches that my car received while there. So guess who they expect to pay for it. I repeat, DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP! Save your self the drama because they will give you the run around and weasel their way out of whatever they can. Keep in mind my car is 8 months old, brand new, still under warranty, zero miles when purchased (about 12k now), and the service department claims that these defects are not covered under my Dodge Warranty. I will contact them myself and then go to another dealership for repairs. For all I know they went and created the damage themselves. read more

I had a driver that a sensor problem in the DEF system on a 2015, 3500 this problem has been ongoing and has happened on probably 5 or 6 trucks at just over 100,000 miles but I digress. The service writers kept me on hold for about 15 Minutes to find out that it had not even made it in the shop yet. I will probably have it trailered back to my terminal. This is the worst service department that I have ever seen and we deliver freight all over the country. Terrible service experience. They broke my motor cover on my truck because to lazy to put foam piece back in place. Left truck outside of service bay and it was ran into somehow and cracked chrome grill and damaged headlight. They pretty called me a liar since it took me two days to notice but was dark when I got home and busy the next day. Service lady was snippy and didnt do one thing I asked her and I had to call her everytime to get an update. Do not go there if you dont have to!
