Back in June 2026, I was unlucky enough to find this place. My other mechanic Driven Automotive was too busy to check my car. So, I took my car here since I had a road trip planned the next couple of days. My steering wheel was making a clunking noise when you turn it. Cody advised me that after looking at it my whole steering wheel shaft needs to be replaced and that its is soooo dangerous to drive. He said I personally wouldn't drive it. I WAS QUOTED ABOUT $3,000! I kinda hesitated but was told too dangerous to drive. It can snap etc. So I put my 20% down. When I left my mechanic called and said hey it sounds like the coupling gear. With labor and parts it will cost $420. So, I called Cody and said I will take my car back. I drove back with my neighbor who also works on cars and said Cody told him, its dangerous, I wouldn't drive it. My neighbor checked my car and he said that guy is wrong! You can drive the car. Had to sign paperwork with Cody since it was required for him to give back my keys. Then he said he needs to charge me 20% restocking fee. $616 of a part that he said was ordered. Restocking fee when he just ordered it an hour ago! I said are you serious? He could care less. Had to get my car so I signed what he needed. I drove my car home with no problem! Brought it to Driven Automotive the next day and Jason was kind enough to squeeze me in. Fixed my car in 1 day and I paid $420 instead of the $3,000 Mikes Auto Clinic estimated. I LOST $616 from Mikes Auto Clinic for a couple of hours of being there. The parts was just ordered when I cancelled. You don't have the decency to refund the full amount? I'm a single female on a tight budget. It wasn't even delivered since it was coming from Tacoma WA. I had great service on a Friday afternoon, I am a repeat customer and will come back again when service Is needed.

After 4 months and 7k in repairs my car was still not road worthy. They released the car back to me over a hand full of times only to return to them the same day with the existing issue not fixed or a new mechanical issue due to the negligence of the work during the last repair. I only returned to them again and again because they claim to have a warranty but it's not worth it. Trust me. Save your time and money and go elsewhere! Highly disappointed read more

BE AWARE !! I'm very disappointed with this shop. My 23 year old daughter brought her 2013 Bmw328i in because it was reading a code 0172. Her step dad and uncle had followed the recommendations in order to resolve the problem. They replaced the fuel injectors and the MAP sensor. The vehicle was still reading the code. At this point my daughter's boyfriend talked her into taking it to Mikes Auto clinic in Nampa. The first thing they replaced was the fuel gasket. This was a red flag because this is not what she took the vehicle into the shop for. And there were no codes stating this was an issue. Before returning the vehicle they told her she needed a new timing chain. After 5 weeks of being told almost every day the vehicle would be done the next day, they were finally done with the vehicle. I went with her to pick the vehicle up. Once we were there Cody (employee of Mike's Auto clinic) explained that they do not have mechanics that replace timing chains on foreign cars such as my daughters and they basically did this as a favor for her and this is why it took so long to complete. He also explained that in order to replace the timing chain, he had to take it to a dealership to be able to get a code that only a dealership is authorized to give during the replacement of a timing chain. Included in the paperwork that she was given the day she picked up her vehicle was a paragraph or two from the dealership that had given the code to program the timing chain. It stated that she would needs her MAP sensor replaced and she had a leak in her turbo. Minus the leak in the turbo this is the exact issue she brought it in for in the first place! My daughter has at this point paid them $6,500 to replace a fuel gasket and timing chain and is still sitting with the original issue that she entrusted them to fix. While driving it home that day she noticed the same issues that she originally brought it into them to repair so the next day she brought it back to them and they agreed to address and repair the issues without charge being that that's why she originally left the vehicle in their care to repair. A day or so later they have her come get the vehicle and tell her that they can't repair it because the MAP sensor in the vehicle is still under warranty but it's a simple fix the one that her step dad put in is not the correct sensor she needs a higher performance sensor. This is the MAP sensor her step dad replaced before she brought it into them. I'm appalled that they would not have told her that when she originally brought the vehicle into them. Also being that her step dad is the one that replaced the MAP the warranty is not of concern. It was a $100 part that we would have been more than happy to authorize them to remove it and order the correct one and replace it. Additionally, the BMW is 10 times louder now than when she brought it in. There was no problem with her turbo when she brought it in and after they have her vehicle for almost two months it suddenly has a turbo leak and sounds like a jet plane. After picking the vehicle up for the last time her step dad opened the hood and noticed that vacuum line was not even connected (shown in video ) . Her full tank of fuel is down to 1/4 tank. The car has dirt and debris under the hood and on the inner rim of the trunk that was not there when she left the vehicle with them. My daughter is a single mother and has worked very hard for this vehicle. Her father was murdered several years back and foreign cars were their thing. Shes so proud to follow in her father's footsteps and this has crushed her. She trusted this shop and they took advantage of her. Basically stole from her and returned her vehicle in worse condition than when she left it with them (it's now reading three codes, the original code plus two more ) I'll be contacting an attorney to help her with this. I'm writing this review to let the public know be cautious of this shop. And if you have a foreign vehicle be advised that they do not have the mechanics qualified to work on your vehicle. read more

This guy needs to learn how to take feedback without becoming so emotional. ***Original post*** I don't like to leave negative reviews, but our experience at Mike's Auto Clinic was frustrating enough that I feel it's important to share and hopefully prevent others from making the same mistake. Over Mother's Day weekend, we received a promotional text from the shop offering 50% off oil changes and 15% off any repairs for moms. We scheduled an oil change and asked them to look at a known issue with the car. We were told there was a $191 diagnostic fee, but it would be applied toward repairs performed. That seemed fair, so we agreed. After the inspection, they came back with a long list of minor issues and confirmed the major one we expected--a failing alternator. What we didn't expect was the total cost: Oil change: $170 Alternator replacement: nearly $1,200 Diagnostic fee: $191 Total (with tax and fees): Over $1,600 When we called to discuss, we spoke with a man named Cody. While explaining the issue, he kept switching between "alternator" and "starter," which was confusing. When I pointed this out--just trying to make sure I had the correct information--he became defensive, as if I was attacking him. I wasn't. I then asked if the oil change had already been done. He said yes. (This will be important later.) Next, I asked about the Mother's Day promotion. He said he wasn't aware of it, so we sent him the text. He later came back saying they could waive the $191 diagnostic fee and take something off the oil change, bringing the revised total to around $1,300. However, they refused to apply both parts of the advertised offer--saying they don't "stack" discounts--and would not honor the 15% off repairs and the diagnostic fee credit as initially promised. This felt incredibly misleading. After discussing it, my husband and I decided not to proceed with the repairs. We didn't trust them, and the whole experience felt shady. When I called Cody back to cancel, he said the final charge would be $191 for the diagnostic and $170 for the oil change. I asked if we could at least still use the 50% off the oil change, since we weren't going forward with the other work. He said yes. The total should have been around $276 plus tax. But then Cody told me the total would be $340. I asked how that made sense, the math didn't check out. I'm a teacher--I know basic math. He recalculated and said it would now be $304.07, citing an extra fee for using a credit card. Though frustrated, I agreed and said I'd come that afternoon. A few minutes later, I realized I could pick the car up immediately and called back. Cody sounded hesitant. I asked if that was okay, and he said he just needed to make sure it was ready--odd, considering both the oil change and diagnostic had been done the day before. Then, two minutes later, he called me back and admitted: the oil change had NOT been done after all. I was relieved. I told him not to do the oil change and that I'd be right over to pick up the car. We still paid the $191 diagnostic fee, but I'm thankful that was the extent of our interaction. Had I waited until the afternoon as originally planned, they likely would have done the oil change and charged us that inflated $170. So not only did Cody lie about the oil change being done, but they also refused to honor their own promotional offer and didn't follow through on the promise to apply the diagnostic fee toward repairs. Every step of the way felt misleading, disorganized, and dishonest. It wouldn't surprise me if they train staff on how to upsell or confuse customers into unnecessary charges. We got out of there paying $199 after tax on the diagnostic that just consisted of labor. To top it off, on the way home, my car started making a brand-new noise it didn't have before bringing it in. Needless to say, I will never return to Mike's Auto Clinic--and I strongly urge others, especially moms being targeted by their "special offers," to steer clear. If you're a woman beware.... I was between bringing my car to Mike's or Whit's after researching and reading many reviews on google. I needed to bring my car for an oil change and problem diagnostics (noise in front end when turning the wheel, both stopped and when moving). After I called Mike's to schedule I was so pleasantly surprised with the customer service and fast response so I made an appointment to bring in my car the next day. I naively didn't confirm prices before coming in because I trusted the numerous reviews and surely they wouldn't try to rip me off. When I arrived this morning, I was quoted $350 just for a diagnosis and full synthetic oil change. I was advised the diagnostic fee was $190, so In what world is a 4.5 qt full synthetic oil change $160? My gut told me to walk out so I did. I immediately called Whits and was quoted $75 for a diagnostic fee and about $85 for the oil change. Mike shop seems to have a great reputation and incredible reviews on google (yelp now tells me otherwise), so I can't help but to think that the prices I was quoted was due to being a woman or not having my husband at my side. read more

Front Desk personnel were attentive and polite! My gripe is how long vehicle sat in lot with no communication as to why delay getting part. My coolant system was flushed and proper amount replaced. But I now had a coolant leak, and never had one in 12 years of ownership. I have put in 4 gl of antifreeze! They had my car for 2 weeks!! when I would call to see what was going on they would lie & say "someone will check & call you back". No call back. I would wait 2-3 more days & call again, I would get same monkey business. when I finally got the car back they had run tests I had not asked for & when I questioned the bill (for hundreds of dollars!!!) Dang, made an appointment. Asked when I needed it done by, got my car back four days after that. Brandon's an awkward salesman. Made comments on my tattoos and lifestyle, asking me questions and making assumptions about marijuana. Telling me about his friend getting stabbed while being a drug dealer, was an awkward experience. Nothing to do with the car. Went in for camshaft positioning sensor replacement, replaced. Now all of a sudden I have to get a timing chain, engine light was left on with the new problem. Paid 1200,, could drive my car before, drove it down there just fine even with the CPS messed up/loose. Will not be returning or recommending to anyone. read more

I went to Mike's Auto Clinic to have multiple things repaired: suspension, struts, ball joints on steering, O2 sensor, etc. I had spoken with Zayne and he quickly got me an appointment for a diagnostic to ensure there was nothing else causing the problems before moving forward. They quickly were able to replace everything needed and gave me a step by step explanation along with pictures to show proof of issue. They are honest, respectful, and have a high level of integrity. For example, a valve was accidentally damaged during the diagnostic and they replaced it completely for free. No charge for parts or labor on that aspect. I will continue to take my vehicle to this shop and recommend anyone I can. read more

Took my Escalade in for a tune up, they changed plugs and wires; went to pick up car and it hardly ran, something went wrong! They said since we have new plugs that it runs stronger now and made the lifters go bad...eh?? They told me it would cost another $7,450 to replace my lifters, I asked them to recheck their work and to make sure the mechanic didn't miss something when they did the tune up or something got unplugged, Frank at the front desk assured me that nothing was done wrong and it's my lifters. I drove my car off barely as it felt like it was missing cylinder or something. I went to another place and the mechanic found that the #1 fuel injector was unplugged, he plugged it in and the car ran great. I couldn't believe that Mike's Auto was telling me I had to pay another $7450 to make it run correct, when it was just a wire unplugged and from what I understand these fuel injectors don't unplug themselves..go figure? I tried to talk to the owner for weeks and Mike never called me and just ignored my messages and phone calls, totally not professional and makes me think that they were trying to scam me even more since he would not face up to me the customer and apologize for them somehow unplugging the wire and not figuring it out... This place is a joke and Mike is a clown I have been using Mike's as my go-to auto repair shop for years, starred going there in 2020. Prices were reasonable back then. I had taken my vehicle, my new to me vehicle, to Mike's in May. I had paid over $4500 for repairs. I walked out of the shop believing there was nothing else wrong with the vehicle. I literally paid for every repair that was caught and needed to be done. 3 months later and less than 1000 miles my vehicle starts acting up again. Doing exactly what it did in May. I have the vehicle towed in for repairs in Sunday being my vehicle had a set appointment at Mike's on Monday. It took them close to 2 weeks to replace a stereo and alternator. 2 weeks. The alternator had already been replaced by Mike's 3 months ago. When I go to Mike's to pick up my vehicle, Mike refused to give me documentation stating that the alternator was replaced and would not let me speak to the mechanic who worked on my vehicle. Mike and I had a heated discussion at the front desk after he refused to give me documentation that the alternator was replaced. As I'm walking out Mike, THE OWNER OF THE SHOP, states "Good luck with that warranty." Little did he know the entire conversation had been recorded. I did that because I was given a heads up by a reliable source that he, Mike, was doing some shady $h!+. I do not recommend going to Mike's Auto Clinic to anyone. Mike needs to be exposed for his nonsense and for taking advantage of the individuals who trust him and the mechanics who work for him with their vehicle(s). read more

Very disappointing. I have a 2006 Buick that developed a no-crank/no -start issue and a serious parasitic draw. Being a rather advanced amateur home mechanic, I tried for several weeks to solve it. I pierced wires, cut and re-connected wires and performed every diagnostic procedure I knew, to no avail. Then I decided to try a pro and visited Mike's. I explained the situation and specifically asked if the cut and re-connected wires and other procedures I had employed were a problem. They said no, bring it in, but a two hr minimum labor charge was mandatory. I had it towed in and the car sat in their garage for two weeks . Finally I called asking what the verdict was. The reply was that because of the cut and re-connected wires they would not even attempt to diagnose and that they would need to replace the entire wiring harness (a job easily surpassing the value of the car) before they would even begin to diagnose the issue. I declined and had the car towed back to my house. They charged me $360+ tax without performing any service on the car. Including the towing back and forth, it cost me almost $600 with absolutely nothing to show for it. I feel that Mike's took the easy way out using the cut and re-connected wires (a condition that was brought to their attention up front) as an excuse to not make even an attempt at diagnose and repair, but had no problem charging $360 for doing nothing. I am very satisfied with the work Mike's has done for me. They are honest. I have had an oil change and inspection. I also had them finish the installation of the new engine on my Mini Countryman when another European repair shop could not do it. When they didn't get my car finished when promised while repairing a few broken parts, they gave me a ride to and from a Doctors appointment which actually took several hours of driving. Who does that? When they misdiagnosed a problem, they made it right without extra cost to me. They definitely know how to work on Minis. I know it's difficult to find auto repair for Minis. So, thanks to Mike's Auto Clinic and all the mechanics who work there for taking care of my baby. read more

Brought a 2009 truck in for a "free inspection" only to be told the free inspection does not cover a brake inspection, which is why I brought it in. The "full" inspection would cost $191.20. This is called bait and switch. Since I was already there and everyone seemed nice, I went for the full inspection. When I was quoted $6,910 to fix the truck, which is more than what the truck is worth, I told them thanks, but no thanks. The owner, Mike, then refused to return my truck, stating the right front brake "could" lock up, so it was unsafe. He said it would violate the law if he gave it to me. He stated I had to either let him fix it or hire a tow truck to pull it off his lot. He held my truck hostage. Knowing he was lying, I demanded a copy of that law. The law states you have to have brakes that would stop within 25 feet at 20 MPH. My truck can stop on a dime. Worse case scenario, the one wheel locks up and the truck comes to a stop. The law does not authorize Mike's Auto to hold my truck hostage. I spent 2 hours waiting on a tow truck to pull it onto the street so I could then drive it home. The wrecker driver, who knew of the loose caliper, test drove the truck and handed me the keys to drive away, laughing and stating the truck was not unsafe. But of course the shop already knew that because the business again drove back onto the lift to show me the caliper then drove it off the lift and parked it next to the sidewalk. Guess it was only unsafe if Mike's Auto did not fix it. Be warned: DO NOT use Mike's Auto Clinic. read more

Took our truck in at 9:00 am for an alignment. Was told it would be 'a couple of hours'. Hadn't heard anything from them so at 1:00pm called. Was told that the 'Tie arms were shot' so they couldn't do the Alignment. Also was told it needed an oil change when my husband had changed the oil and filter the previous day! My husband said we would just come get the truck. He was told the technician would call him. By 3:00 o'clock we had to call them!!! The technician called back to make sure that we didn't want the Alignment done. My husband asked, 'but if I did the Alignment now and then replaced the tie arms, wouldn't you have to re align it'? The guys said yes. So my husband asked if they would charge for the second alignment and the answer was yes! ??? Why would we want to pay twice? The work quoted would have been over $1200.00! When we picked up the truck, the inside of the cab smelled of B.O. Would not recommend this shop. read more

So I bought a car and brought it here for repairs. It needed two catalytic converters and a transmission service. Zane helped me sooooo much. I was an emotional wreck. I couldn't afford much. Due to being a military veteran they were able to give me a great discount. Zane did everything possible to ensure I was taken care of. Including consoling me (from a distance lol). The repairs were done in a timely manner. I was worried that the repairs wouldn't help much but they did! I'm so thankful they helped me so much. Especially Zane. My friend took her car in to have a brake job done several days later they're charging her $2000, will not show her the old parts that they took off the car and are charging her $158 an hour for labor. they are charging her a ridiculous amount of time to do a brake job eight hours of labor to do brakes! anyone that's ever been around any kind of car repair or had a brake job done would know this job Should only take two or three hours max. They looked at my daughter's car and said they would replace her head gasket for $5000. Nice try guys. Very clear to me if these guys were willing to take advantage of me, they'll do the same to you. This is a shifty place and I would not recommend it to anyone. We took our car in to have it checked because the check engine light was on. They came back and told us it was gonna be thousands of dollars to get it fixed up the way we needed it. My husband did it and it still took them three days longer to get the car back to us than they had said it would. When we got it back it drove exactly the same. They had messed with the battery when they had no reason to and the check engine light came right back on. Avoid this place like the plague! If you care about your car, do it a favor and keep it far away from this place. I had my car towed here after my brake lines went out, my CV boot shredded, and my serpentine belt split. After quoting me roughy $1800 to fix it (which they emailed me an estimate, never actually stepped foot in the shop) I told them I would call back if I wanted to actually get the repairs done by them. They also tried to scam me by adding on extra parts that didn't need replacement (tried charging and "replacing" both cv axels even though only one needed repair and the other was in working order. All because they thought I'm someone that doesn't get under and inspect my car before putting it in a shop). Another condition for them fixing it was to be able to have it done by Sunday (I had it towed there on a Friday). They told me they would have it done by Sunday. I told them in case I didn't want the repairs done to leave the car in the lot so I could have it towed somewhere else because they closed in 30/45 minutes from when I called. I tried to call back but they had already closed. After looking on google to find out what time they opened the next day, I found out they weren't open at all on the weekend. So, thinking they honored my request to leave it in the lot, I sent a tow truck out to their shop to pick it up. Tow truck got there and my car wasn't there... I then scoured the internet for an after hours number but there wasn't one. Then I started getting into reading forums and found that another extremely unsatisfied customer actually posted the owners personal cell phone number. At this time, roughly 8pm, I call the owner up trying to find it why my car wasn't outside. I was first asked how I got his number. Then he said he wouldn't do anything until Monday. I explained the situation and given that I hadn't authorized work and requested the car be left out that I would be calling the police for grand theft since they were keeping my car without authorization. The owner quickly changed his tone and told me the car would be out by 9am the next day since he was on vacation and his techs didn't like to go out to the shop on the weekend. Really? And I don't like my car being held from me. Anyway, I took my car somewhere else and had it fixed for about $1000 and even had the oil pan gasket replaced, fluids topped off, and an oil change added to the bill! I won't name the other shop I took it to but when I told them my story about mikes, they laughed and said that they know them well and it doesn't surprise them. That they are "a bunch of assholes that overcharge." That wasn't the end of my problem with Mikes Auto Clinic. Turns out they actually removed my engine shield from under my car and with no word about it. Now I have to drop $80-$120 to get it replaced. Since AAA recommended them and somehow they are a AAA certified shop, I will be making sure to report my experience wth AAA and seeing if they can solve the problem that their affiliate caused. How they even were accepted to work with AAA I will never understand. Hopefully they won't be on the list with AAA too much longer so no one else is sent there and must endure a similar experience. According to yelp, my situation is very similar to many of others. Again, this place is a joke. They over change, they try to take advantage of people, and they are so highly incompetent that they should never operate a shop. So if you value your car and want to be able to trust your car with professionals, please take you car somewhere else. read more

So we took are jeep in 4 times and we picked up on Friday and the check engine lights on and 2 flat tires !

I haven't returned since my experience in 2013 when I didn't feel great about the experience but then they also left my car unlocked in their lot for at least an hour after work was performed. Cost me 325.00 for not much but putting a battery in,that my husband bought and took to them. They also could not find any code on the truck. Then they wanted 3,000.00 to fix something we did not ask them to look for. Will never recommend them or will be going back ever again. read more

Appointment ran twice as long as I was quoted and Zane (receptionist) was rude and unprofessional after I called with questions about why my truck was leaking oil following them changing the oil. Literally said it "wasn't their concern" or their problem then hung up. read more
