Mike does not wear a mask despite COVID pandemic. I think that everyone should be aware of this, as he goes inside your car to inspect it. I'd go elsewhere to stay safe, or kindly ask him to wear a mask inside your car and within 6 feet of you. read more

This place really is as good as it gets. I have brought my car here for every oil change, tire rotation, and inspection sticker and won't go anywhere else. Minimal wait time and always done right. Everyone has their favorite local auto shop but this place really is wonderful. I'm lucky enough to not have had to bring my car here for any repairs but would go there with confidence. As a young woman I have always been told I need random work done and have been swindled into spending more money than necessary. Luckily my dad has always been a second opinion and saved me from that hassle! There is none of this here, as Mike is a great guy and always willing to accommodate. read more

Brought car to Mike thinking I had a dead battery. Mike found problem was much more subtle; a plug like relay in the fuse box had failed because I'd left a cellphone charging cable in the cigarette port . Mike knows cars Much later had a sound coming from one of the wheels that indicated a bad bearing. Mike went over the repair options including one that featured an expensive American rebuilt wheel bearing assembly ( which I selected) rather than a lesser quality foreign made assembly. Mike shows you the parts he's replaced and why it was necessary. He's educating his customers as a matter of course. Because I use my Ford Taurus as an Uber driver, it takes a lot of wear and tear. Recently a sound that started as a slight whine developed into a soft growl and so I knew I had a problem in the tailpipe. Mike threw it up on the lift and showed me where a section of tailpipe called the flexible pipe which includes the catalytic converter had developed a hole. Luckily he was able to replace just this part of the tailpipe and preserved the rest of of the pipe by using a special tool to surgically graft the new pipe and catalytic converter onto the rest of the existing tailpipe assembly. This pipe is not cheap and the labor is intensive but the cost of the repair was modest compared to what others might charge. Mike works magic for hardworking folks! Driving the 2006 Taurus you have to expect things to fail so when the battery light came on in the instrument panel and the Taurus SEL beeped as the battery light came on I decided to march right to Mike's who pulled the car into the empty bay and threw an amp meter on the battery posts revealing that the car was using the battery for power (reading 12 or volts) and that meant the alternator was gone. Mike gave me prices for a rebuilt alternator ($299) that came with a one year warranty or a brand new alternator ($345) . I plan to drive this car indefinitely so I chose the brand new one. Zero stars for a place who rejects an inspection without inspecting the car. Told me my muffler was "unsafe" but when I asked for an actual diagnosis he told me it would cost me money for that. I told him he can't possibly tell there's an issue by ear, and he laughed at me and asked "what do you do"... I'm not a mechanic but I know when someone is being a scumbag. Guys a joke. Went somewhere right after, got an inspection and a sticker. There's nothing wrong with my muffler. read more

I live in Dedham I own a Jeep Cherokee and have brought my car to Mike. I find that he has been very honest about what my jeep needs. He took care of a noise that my jeep had been making for over a year. I took to many places and they told me there was nothing wrong with it. I brought it to Mike and after checking it over he found the problem. I haven't felt that I have been over charged. He is very fair and honest . I have had same day service and never seem to wait long. I have dropped by a few times with questions or needed something checked and he takes me right away.
