This store is the absolute CUTEST!! Their dogs toys are so unique and fun. Very good quality especially around the seams of the toys if you have dogs that like to defluff everything before they play with it. Prices are better in my opinion than petsmart, especially for the quality of the items you're getting. They also have the most beautiful collars and leashes. Unique prints, intricate threading ( also, bowties). They even have different leashes for running, swimming, etc. they have boots, rain jackets, life vests, literally anything and everything you could possibly need. Woof! Woof! This place makes tails wag! This dog store is fantastic! They've got everything you'd ever need for your Rex or Fido. They have a selection of toys that'll make you wanna do zoomies all over the place! Their toys are cute, extremely durable, and quality. They're not some cheapo toys that'll last your pup five minutes before they're destroyed (hopefully).) They have a wide selection of dog foods, in cans and in bags. There's also a huge selection of dog treats, some of which are more exotic and higher quality than I eat sometimes! The service here is top notch- I listened in on them taking the time to ask a whole bunch of questions about a dog's food habits, and then made a recommendation on which type of food their fur baby would prefer. The store is clean and welcomes dogs, of course. You can let your dog pick out their own toys, if you wanna! Parking is easy. This place is located in the historic Sunset Ridge Shopping Center, next to the Tackle Box Outfitters. This place is a bit more expensive than say, PetCo, but they will give you the personalized service and friendliness that those big box stores can't do, and Mike, for whom the store is named after, is usually there hanging out petting doggos. read more

I came in and I browsed the store for some time before I was greeted. They have quite a big selection for a small store. I will come back for maybe calming treats and another dog collar. Today o hot dog topper. My dog loves Stella and Chewy. I also got her a cute taco cookie. Since why not it's taco Tuesday. They have everything from food to bows to beds. The customer service was stellar at the check out. They give a military discount and signed me up for their in house dog program. This is BY FAR the best store I have found for pet supplies in San Antonio. First and foremost, you will be able to find high-end brands of food that are simply not present at your typical box store. I proudly feed my pomsky ZiwiPeak, and this is the only store I have found to date that provides it in multiple flavors (including venison, mackerel and lamb). Other brands that do not suck include Orijen and Zignature. Again, these aren't the easiest brands to find around San Antonio. Their treat selection is awesome. I've found that my dog has really taken to Zuke's treats (rabbit appears to be her favorite just over salmon) but they also have incredible beef femur bones and hideless chews flavored with beef and salmon. Other than these particular favorites, there are quite a few other treats to find. The toy selection is fantastic. Most recently, my puppy has taken to a stuffed toy in the shape of a perfume bottle. They have stuffing-less toys for those of you with really young dogs and as my dog grows, I'm looking forward to adding treat toys to her repertoire. Worried about your dog's health? They have all sorts of products to help. Most recently, I purchased a cleansing topper for my dog's food that is essentially a ground form of kelp to help with her breath. Want your dog to have a spontaneous play date? My dog has become friends with the resident dog of the pet store. It's pretty awesome to watch them chase each other around the store. Not really sure where to take your new puppy? Umm, the puppy starter kit that they provided here was incredible and the toy in the form of the store's logo is still one of my pomsky's favorite toys. And really this is just scratching the surface. It isn't the largest space, but they have packed it well for the individual looking to treat their dog to the best of experience. As far as I can tell everything they carry is made in either the US or Canada. If you know anything about pet food products, you know this is important. They carry our dogs food, Fromm's Gold, as well as a variety of treats and other pet accessories, such as leashes, harness, etc. The employees/owners are ALWAYS friendly and helpful. A huge perk is the $10 credit for every $100 spent. When compared to area corporate chains, this place is by far the best pick. We were gifted a wonderful sample pack when we adopted our new puppy. Our pup loved his Mike's squeaky toy when we brought him home.

We brought our pooch in to pick out some new toys, and we loved the cute, small business vibe of this place. Our dog chews through toys SO fast, so we ultimately picked out a "Kong Wubba" that is still well loved months later. We also bought a fleece "shirt" for her as she gets cold in the winter. We've gotten TONS of use out of it, and our dog is pleased to put it on when it's chilly out. My main concern about the fleece was that it was pretty pricey ($40 - in fact, I thought much of their merchandise was a little bit on the higher end of what I'd like to pay), but I was willing to splurge because I do a lot of backpacking and it's very lightweight (since I carry all of my dog's gear). Overall, we had a great experience and would be back again! read more

The owners Mike and Tina are great people & really take the time to get to know you & your dog. Not to mention the rest of their staff- They're just as awesome! They make you feel welcomed each time you come in... even if it's multiple times a day, which used to be the case. :P Also, they sell high quality foods & the cutest toys... they're very knowledgeable & know their stuff. They also have an outstanding selection of collars, harnesses, beds, raised feeders & treats. I wish this store was in our neighborhood! But it's a quick drive from Monte Vista and is worth the trip! Having owned a pet supply shop before I'm rarely impressed or excited by them, this place had me feeling like a kid in a candy shop!
