Over two months ago, I needed a ceiling fan installed and an outdoor motion sensor light fixed. I reached out to electricians via Yelp. I heard back from Miguel from Mike Ramos Electric first. He did not give me a quote right off the bat but he agreed to come on the day I needed. I heard back from other electricians and they quoted me $150. I messaged Miguel who said his price would be $180. I asked if he'd do the job for $150. He agreed. His guys that showed up were very kind. I had already put together most of the ceiling fan and had even already hung part of it. They tried to upsell me and have a $100 part installed in the ceiling which would take another hour. I declined. They hung the ceiling fan but never ended up looking at the outdoor light. I messaged Miguel afterwards and said I felt ripped off since they basically hung the ceiling fan for $150 (which was twice the price I even paid for it at Lowe's) and never looked at the outdoor light. Miguel apologized and offered to send me a refund of $30. I thought that was acceptable. Now two months later....I still have no refund. I sent him a message three days ago and still haven't heard from him. This is not the way you do business. I do not recommend this company. I'm very disappointed. read more

Just had Miguel Ramos and his helper Samuel out to house to hook up my jacuzzi. Found him here on Yelp and answered the phone the first call. After explaining what I needed Miguel was very straight forward and confident that he could do the job. We set up an appointment for an estimate that believe it or not he was on time for. Upon arrival I explained what I needed as far as my wires going under my house for my 240 volt and stood back as Miguel's knowledge took over. He open my aging electrical panel on my house and tested a existing breaker stating I was lucky and the panel could handle the job. Miguel explain that he would need to make a couple of holes below the panel to feed wires threw the wall and under the house to install something called a "disconnect" on the side of my house to connect the jacuzzi to. After looking inside the control panel Miguel told me that I wouldn't need a CFCI plug that it has to have by code because it already had one. I asked what it would cost as Miguel tallied in his mind what he needed a price that seemed very reasonable was agreed upon. We agreed with the old fashion hand shake which made me feel comfortable I was hiring the right licensed electrician to do the job. The day of the job, which by the way was 2 days later, Miguel alerted me by text that his helper was going to arrive first and he would follow after picking up the larger gauge wire needed for 240 volts. It was so awesome that they we on TIME. They installed this long 8 foot ground rod like 7 feet into the ground. Even know there was wiring already to the jacuzzi Miguel disconnected it and replaced with new wire. All of the mess was cleaned up as the worked and when they were finished the only way you could tell they were there was the jacuzzi was running. Very friendly and knowledgeable!! After I went through the trouble he asked me to do he never got back to me, so I asked him if he was still interested. He said he was and I still never heard from him. I then again asked him what the story was and he wrote back "I got distracted." I was very disappointed in my experience with Mike. First, he was over 2 and 1/2 hours late for my appointment and never once called me to apologize or let me know why he was late. Every time I called him to ask him about the delay, he would give me a new arrival time, no apology, and still no arrival. After 2 and 1/2 hours of waiting, I called him again and he told me he would be there in "30 minutes ". At that point I cancelled the service. If I could give him a zero, I would. Found the first electrician that popped up on yelp. Mind you this was mar 01, 2015, which is a Sunday. Since I was calling an electrican early on a Sunday I had to ask for an estimate. I described some lights and outlets when out. He said he could give free estimates but trouble shooting (since I didn't know what the problem was) would be 95$. Long story short, he and a helper came out about 25 minutes later. Took apart and tested multiple outlets and bathroom light fans. He was here from about 915 to 1045, but didn't have cash so he followed me to 7-11 to get money. He ended up charging me 120 and it was about 1115. I highly recommend Mike!! Never met him before but he explainded everything and let me look over his shoulder so I could learn a little bit. He also have me a quite to replace my pannel and breakers. He will be back soon tondo more work for me. Only thing I didn't like is the clean up from when the clip wires or drywall sprinkles out of the wall and gets on stuff, but that's pretty standard just bugs me. read more

Mikes Electric was a life saver! My unit didn't pass inspection because a few of the outlets didn't have grounding which was odd because all the other outlets in that room were grounded. You would think this would have been an easy fix; however, it was not.
