The pizza is okay but they forgot to charge me for the air I was breathing, the ice on my drink, the straws, the chair I sat on, the toilet paper I used at the bathroom....actually let me stop because I might give the owner some ideas. I was charged for the blue cheese that normally is suppose to come with my wings AND for the sad little 3 pieces of celery. If you are going to add charges to this at least warn the customer! Let ME know and I will decide if I want to pay for it or not, that decision should NOT be up to you! Even one of their waitresses agreed to how ridiculous the prices were. smh read more

This place does many things correctly. If you are a craft beer fan, or even judged a competition or two, you will be happy with the rotating craft beer list on both draft and bottles. There were beers here that surprised the hell out of me with their appearance. The service is outstanding. Our waitress, Hailey, did a bang up job. I was brought tasters of beer, the menu was well explained, and she checked on us the right amount. The wings were incredible. My girlfriend and I actually had a debate whether they were fried or baked because they were cooked perfectly. The wings might have been the stand out of the entire meal. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and my girlfriend ordered a Stromboli. Our impression was that the entrees with both really good but not outstanding. For the price point I couldn't really complain. My girlfriend thought the Parmesan cheese on top of the Stromboli that already has ricotta and mozzarella was too much. My only negatives were the fact that it is loud and the entrees weren't pushed into the outstanding category but I don't think it's enough to subtract a point. We are definitely coming back to explore the rest of the menu and have some great beer and wings. read more

Try this place, you'll love it! Great, big pizza, great beer list, service is terrific, atmosphere is easy and quiet. There's a bar and there at about 20 Flat screens but it's not a sports bar. I love it, the wife loves it, the kids love it. I had a "flight" then ordered an IPA that or server suggested I sample. We ordered the supreme and have a lot to take home even though I ate too much. Consistently inconsistent. When it's good, it's very very good and when it's not - it's just ok. I have been coming here since they first opened and always have preferred their restaurant on 49th street to this one. Service is spotty, Pizza is really good sometimes. I've had to call more than once to let them know the order I made came to the door incorrectly. They always offer to fix the problem at the time, which is nice, it would be better if the food was just was more consistent. The garden salad comes with tomato, cucumber, pasta salad and two yummy garlic rolls which is a nice bonus and makes it a meal in its own. I would like to give more stars but just can't based on the inconsistency I've personally experienced. I'll be back and look forward to the times when they are spot on. read more

Dear Mike, I patron your business once or twice a month for the past few years. Usually service is awesome, however tonight your juvenile and unprofessional staff has made me look for a new place to try. Your business closes at 9:00. I called to order a pickup at 8:40. The gentleman placed me on hold for 8 minutes. Knowing that you closed at 9:00, I arrived to your store at 8:48 still on hold. Walked in and asked to place an order. I was told that you were closed. Mind you, still on hold on my cell phone. As I asked why I wasn't told this before I was placed on hold. No answer from your staff. As I was leaving, I overheard the sound of chuckling. Called to tell them the pizza was burnt. They said we've complained before and need to bring pizza in to prove it. (Mind you it was delivered) lady on the phone argued that the cooks never burn the pizza. But we have said in the past how it was burnt one other time and it was handled. The pizza tasted burnt. We will no longer be getting their pizza. They need new staff for how rude and entitled they were acting. Especially the cooks. Do not recommend and would say if you like burnt pizza. Came into the restaurant before close, was told they close very soon and asked to put in the order as quick as possible. The order was put in, all food was served except one order that was not "put in" and is not able to be made due to the chefs leaving (exactly when the restaurant closed). Settled for it, and as we were walking out of the restaurant we see the rest of the workers (chefs and other servers) outside walk back into the restaurant. The server was nice but the rest of the people working were sub par. We understand the importance of an almost closed restaurant, but service should never be limited or worsened because of it. read more

It's been a long time since I've ordered from Mike's. The service and food had gotten so poor that our 4 roommate household just wouldn't do it anymore. Fast forward almost a decade. I ran into an old friend who works there who assured me it's as good as it was in the old days. I ordered tonight. Actually, it's much worse. Not edible. My dog ate it because she'll eat anything. She eats poop because she's a dog. The cooked food was disgusting. If the owner needs to figure out how to order product he can call me. I paid $6.00 for a Caesar salad. It was a box of greens that I could fit in one hand. No. Seriously. It was 25 cents worth of greens. It couldn't be a called a Caesar salad if you had a gun to your head. Lesson learned. I gave them years to prove me wrong. Turns out, they're just as pitiful as ever. I'm out 30 bucks but my dog ate the crap from Mike's. I couldn't choke it down. read more

Great pizza and beer stop! We stopped by for a quick bite after a trip to the near by McGough park. Parking is interesting as the place is split between two buildings that make up Mike's and also shares space with a gas station. However, we had no problem on a Sat. evening. The place was busy and everyone had pizza at the table so it must be great. We opted for spinach ravioli which was excellent. Beer and food prices seem very reasonable. Had our 3-yr old and they seem very family friendly (at least in the one side that we were in). Definitely worth a shot! read more

Had big order and deliver driver forgot pizza in the order. Waited over 30 minutes for deliver driver to return with pizza while rest of food got cold, we all wanted to eat our meal together. After calling restaurant for status of pizza and determining it was not arriving anytime soon, decided to request refund for the pizza and was denied refund. Basically was charged for pizza that was never delivered and if it was delivered, would be a big, soppy, cold pizza by the time it arrived. Management refused to refund the cost of the pizza when we finally said, forget it, we don't want the pizza. Nice management, guess profit margins must be razor tight there. read more

In florida, the hawks are in the playoff's, of course we had to find a Chicago bar to watch the game at! Mikes was a cool place, they actually have two building, a restuarant and a bar. We stayed at the restaurant for most of the night and were lucky enough to get a table right in front of the tv for the hawks game. The service was great considering we were a large group of obnoxious Chicago hawks fans. They were very accommodating. The food was great, I got an appetizer called "garlic Knots" something i've never had before, which doesn't happen often. They are basically small soft gooey rolls, smothered in some kind of garlic covering, and accompanied with some marinara dipping sauce....amazing! I also had a Panzerotti which was great as well. it was nice to have some Chicago caliber food while in FL. They also had a pretty big beer selection. Once we finished eating, we moved to the bar building to finish watching the many overtimes of the game. The bar section was cool, lots of tv's and very new/clean inside. I will say they only sell beer and wine in there, no hard liquor. Id definitely give MIkes a try, especially if your visiting from Chicago! read more

I tried Mike's for the first time, mostly to check out the beer selection and I was not disappointed. (I went into the tap house, not the restaurant next door.) They had a huge selection, including many IPA's which I am a fan of. They had a cider too which my wife likes, and a selection of domestic bottles, which my less adventurous friend stuck to. The food was awesome too. The garlic rolls are simply incredible and the margherita pizza was one of the best I've had. Really nice decor, clean. It's an upscale pub setting with a lot of TVs. I definitely recommend it, but if you have kids it's better to go into the restaurant instead of the tap house. read more

My uncle recommended this bar to me because of its beer list and excellent pizza. Without his advice, I'm not sure I would have ever stopped at a spot with so many large, glowing neon signs. From the outside, I expected a total dive bar, which I usually love but I was really hungry and was not craving bar food. When we stepped inside the bar, I was shocked at how different the vibe inside was... cool decor, tons of large-screen TVs, and several tables. The staff is friendly and we enjoyed good service throughout our time at Mike's. we tasted quite a few beers from the long list, which has a varied selection from several local breweries as well as The pizza is really good. I guess good pizza in Florida is hard to find? That's what I've heard and also my experience so far. I'm from the northeast and good pizza is found all over. So I guess my 3 star rating would be in comparison to NE pizza and if compared to FL pizza, it might be 4 or 5 stars. Mike's is supposed to be good for the area, so we decided to check it out. It's located in a strip-mall type area with NO parking. They actually have free valet parking there, which was strange to see. The place has a really cute courtyard outdoor seating area, which unfortunately was closed for a private party that night, so we chose to sit on the front sidewalk instead, which is nicely decorated with huge wooden flower boxes. The pizza was ok. Pretty good, I guess. I wouldn't really describe it as thin crust, or thick crust either. It also wasn't crispy crust. It was more doughy and chewy. The amount of sauce was moderate and it wasn't overwhelmed with cheese. The waitress was extremely friendly and the wait wasn't too bad. Prices were reasonable and their house red wine was surprisingly tasty. read more

I visited Mikes Pizza as it was listed on my dining for miles program. I would say it is closer to a pub, that happens to have pizza avaiable. They have many beers on tap, however not a large wine selection. The service at Mikes was great. The waitress was very friendly, and helpful with selections. The pizza is average. It is a thin crust type pizza with a crispy crust and slightly chewy edge. There weren't a lot of toppings placed on the pizza. The garlic knots are large, and have a great texture. The amount of garlic however is missing. There is tons of butter, and parmasian cheese on them. I would say Mike's is OK, but nothing to write home about. I would visit again if I was with people that want to dine there. However I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. read more
