10 out of 10! Pizza, Chicken Wings, Pastrami Sandwich, Salad, and a Diet Coke was what we ordered and it was all amazing! The pizza had an airy soft crust and the sauce was refreshing. The pepperoni was crisped to perfection. I asked for well done, plain chicken wings with a side of BBQ sauce. What we got were crispy, juicy chicken wings that were seasoned perfectly. The pastrami sandwich was well stacked with delicious meat fresh veggies on a homemade bun. The salad bar is a one trip bar but they do offer two sizes. The bar consisted of a good variety of fresh veggies, salads, and toppings. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The staff were all very friendly. Great prices too! This place is a hidden gem! It's thin but able to hold the load of toppings, and nice and crisp all the way across. It's got a little bit of a cinnamon flavor but it's very pleasant. Great pizza place! After traveling into Angels Camp from out of town, my husband and I were looking for something quick. However, we weren't in the mood for fast food. That's when we decided on pizza delivery. When I called to order, the girl that answered the phone was sweet and personable. She said it would take 45-60min for delivery. After the order was placed we didn't wait too long until we received our order. The delivery guy was friendly and came with everything we ordered. We ordered the "Ultimate Hawaiian" and it was very tasty. It's a different twist on the traditional Hawaiian and we were pleasantly surprised. I wish I could give this place a better review, but I just can't. Here is why: We were coming home from a long day of snowboarding. We were starving and decided to stop here. My girlfriend and I each ordered a mini pizza on the same ticket. Our friends ordered a pizza of their own. We also ordered a dessert pizza. So... Our friend's food arrives first, we wait a little bit and my girlfriends pizza is brought to the table, but not mine...no big deal. I wait a little longer my food isn't coming. After awhile, my girlfriend goes to ask where my pizza is and they say it's on the way. We wait a little longer and our dessert pizza come to the table. Now I'm getting a little cranky. I wait even longer, and my pizza is still missing, so my girlfriend goes back up to the counter and waits to talk to someone. Meanwhile, our friends have finished their food and my girlfriend is just about done too. Everyone is ready to leave and I still haven't even seen my pizza, so I got up and got a refund and we left. So that was my experience. I did have a few slices from our friends pizza and it was better than mediocre, but by no means great. If I didn't have the experience that I had I would probably go back. I was at first quite excited to write a review for this pizza place because when I had first searched for it on yelp, "Mike's Pizza" of Angel's camp didn't show up and I thought I'd be the first to review. Actually, it's just listed under the wrong name. I don't know how so many can confuse superior pizza from "Mike's" with the mediocre rubbish sold by "Mountain Mike's." I first visited this restaurant about 5-6 years ago with a friend and her family. We were all hungry after rappelling at Moaning Caverns. My friend's dad claimed this is the best pizza he's ever had. I was skeptical but soon had to eat my words as I realized he wasn't joking. We ordered two pizzas, but the one I remember, the Greek Goddess, was phenomenal and, in my opinion, is the best pizza I've ever eaten. I don't remember all the ingredients, but it has an unparalleled creamy garlic sauce, cheese, salami, green olives, and marinated artichoke hearts. The artichoke hearts didn't taste like the kind I always buy at the store, so I wonder if they marinate their own. It is very garlic-y and delicious. And, the best part, the entire face of the pizza is covered in toppings; it is fully loaded. Since my first visit, I have told 6 others about this place, claiming that it is the best pizza ever, and all eventually visited and agreed with me. I visit anytime I'm in the area (which unfortunately isn't too often since I don't live in norcal anymore) and I've always ordered the Greek Goddess because I already know it's good and it's just too delicious to pass up. The wait can be a long time since it is quite a popular place, indicative by the awards covering the wood-paneled walls and the noisy kids running around after soccer practice, but the average ambiance is worth the amazing pizza. read more

Right off the bat--Mikes has amazing pizza, best in Calaveras County. Get the BBQ chicken. I can't remember getting consistently worse service at a pizza place. On three occasions in the last year they have screwed up our order (giving us the wrong pizza, wrong sauces, random additional unwanted toppings) and we've had to wait 30 minutes for them to make a new one. I recently walked in for lunch, stood at the counter for 3 minutes before I was greeted with a brusque "If you want pizza it's going to be a while." I made the mistake of going to the new Round Table in Angels Camp to check it out and it was by far the worst Round Table Pizza I ever had!!! I was disgusting. I have been to many Round Table Pizzas and never had it so bad. It was like not even close to anything I ever had at Round Table before! I say this because if you are a Round Table patron, beware, the Round Table in Angels Camp is horrible!!! And be aware, a mile down the road is Mike's Pizza which is the best pizza place in the Mother Load! We needed an easy pizza dinner with some teenage boys. Went to Mike's because it had good reviews and was close. The pizza was fabulous! My husband and I shared the Garden Gold. Thin crust with lots of veggies including asparagus! We usually get veggie pizza and this one was really tasty! I'd go back. Mike's got a 4 because the pizza tastes awesome. They also carry GLUTEN free! So far in this area most other places say, "Gluten free? Oh yeah, we have lettuce." - yum... NOT. However when you ask at Mike's, "How many does a Medium pizza feed?" They respond, "It has 10 slices." I tried with two seperate employees, both replied the same. When you ask again they say, "So with 8 people each person could have one slice." Yup, I can do that math too. Just wanting to know howuch pizza to order. So in reply to my question, a regular medium pizza will feed 3-4 adults. A gluten free pizza (also medium but thin crust) will feed 2-3 adults. A large will feed 4-5 adults. All in all, I'd eat there again. Just can't give them a 5 when they can't help you with knowing approximately how much pizza to order for your group. The place filled with machines where you can gamble quarters for candy or junky toys, which makes for a lot of begging. I wouldn't recommend this for families with small children unless you want to spend a lot of quarters and come home with a lot of candy and junk. We found this place here on Yelp and we were glad we decided to eat here. After a fun trip to the Moaning Caverns, all of us (4 adults and 5 kids) were hungry for pizza. We had the large Combination pizza and large Greek Goddess pizza. They were both very good! We had a lot of left overs as the pizza were huge, almost 3/4 of a large pizza left. Even before my nephew took me here I was a fan just from reading the menu. Creative pizza combinations. Loved the Mother Lode Pizza with zucchini, Canadian bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes. Has about 5 different sizes of pizza available. If you're eating in there is a small, but adequate, salad bar. You can load up a plate for one trip for about $4. The salad bar was fresh and had a lot of variety but the small size was too tiny so it's only worth it to get the large portion. The sweet potato fries were really good though and tasted like they had been fried. Hey, if a restaurant wants to make something healthy taste as good as fried food I say bring it on!
