Haven't done a review in quite a while (sorry to all my millions of fans) but this place really got me riled up. Had quite a bit of cans and bottles a few weeks ago, so I sat in line for an hour before we finally got in. Opened the back of my vehicle and the guy seen that not every piece of my recycling was separated. We had about 95% of it separated and I told him my son and I could separate the rest in a couple minutes. He told me we had to leave and do it off premises. Then we had to wait for vehicles blocking our way for 10 minutes while they were getting their cash. We could have sorted the cans and got paid in that time. We went over to Main Street Recycling and only had a 5 minute wait. Avoid this headache. read more

This place is amazing, amazing, amazing! This is a weird thing to say about a recycle center but you have to go to understand. The employees are super friendly. I have never been to a recycle center that was so entertaining. I don't want to spoil it you have to visit to understand. At one point I was clapping. You can tell everyone enjoys the job. One man was redeeming his bag of "recycling" and when it was dumped in the sorting bin it was half trash! JOE, the worker kinda shook his head and sighed but not in an offensive way more like an, "Oh.brother! I was pissed off for him. The guy who owned the bag sorta apologized in a weak kinda way and offered to help sort the trash but Joe politely said "No man it's ok I have gloves I got it. No problem." WHAT THE HECK??? I went to this place for the first time & thought their system was good! First of all, you just need to get there right when they open & be prepared to wait a little while. I was out of there less than an hour. Bring a book to read or play a game on your phone & also maybe a snack if you're gonna get irritable. It's not that bad. Just be patient. read more

Terrible!! Waited an hour to recycle!! It was for my boys otherwise I would have left. Incompetence at its best. The staff is not helpful and rude. I guess they think they are the only recycling place in town. Their "system" is unorganized, which I believe is by design, because it causes customers to lose track of their recyclables. The guy who appears to be in charge, says " my guys know what they are doing". During Operating hours you might see a long line of cars on the right side of the driveway spilling out onto Main Street. You get in this line of cars until you reach the end of the driveway where you see the recycling operation and booth. The workers will give you notice to do a quick U turn or a 180 degree rotation. You will be next to the recycling Machines and bins and the workers will take care of you, give you a slip and then head to the booth to get your money. You are now free to leave through the other left side of the driveway you came in. I've seen some people with huge vehicles have problems with this u-turn ... reminds me of Austin Powerd trying to do a u-turn with a luggage cart. After getting a coupon from the Pennysaver for $2 a pound I decided to come here for my recycling needs. Coming in off of Main Street there's one Island and one going out if you happen to get stuck you have to wait for everyone else's recycling to be taken care of before you can get out of the U-turn line. The good part about this is you don't really have to touch any of your recyclables cause I'll do it for you. However in case of an emergency there is nowhere for you to escape you are stuck. It did go semi-fast but I don't think I'd ever come back again, just because of the being stuck part. read more

They allow you to take unsorted and sorted. However be prepared to wait for at least 1 hour if you bring unsorted on the weekend. They will take care of everyone else before dealing with the unsorted. Had I known it would've taken that long I would have sorted it on my own. 2 hours wasted on a Sunday afternoon. read more

FIRST VISIT! FAIR PRICE! THEY PROVIDE PROPER RECEIPT TO PROVE IT AND HAS ALL THE INFO's. Higher price for aluminum cans with coupon. I sold my 1st half of collected recycling to a different recycling center that has a higher mark and I even provided a coupon. But it seemed i got paid less of what I expected and the receipt I received only shows how much I got paid. So I decided to sell the other half to this recycling center with the same amount and got paid a lot more and I was provided with a proper receipt that has all the info's. The guy weighting out my alluminum is a thief i had a full uhaul and one of the bins weighted 1580 lbs - the 660 then he made up the story that the bin had in it arround 600 lbs when that was a complete lye they were all empty i saw them because he had brought them down from where the empty bins were since i needed 4 fuck him and his boos that lets him rob customers he must get his cut dont go there. read more

Love this place! The guys are so friendly and helpful. They'll come up to your car to unload the items that need to be recycled. The other awesome thing is they literally will buy all types of metal from cast iron pots to brake discs. The worst thing about thiis place is that once you realize that you're in the line we cannot leave. For that reason I will never be back unless you wanna wait an hour to give your recycling. Go somewhere else I'll never go back. After seeing one of tHe employees named Oscar let someone cut the line after I was waiting for almost 1 hour and gave them so much Crap for that. Although they were very fast and seem efficient, there were many containers they "threw away" because they told me they did not count towards the CRV. I dismissed it at first because I thought if those persons work there they must be correct, but when I later checked the same containers at my house they do in fact have a CRV and a different location did in fact give me money for them. I'm not sure if the workers there lack the knowledge or if they purposely tell customers lies. I took 3, 55 gallon bags and received $23 and some change. I took a smaller amount, about 1, 55 gallon bag and two 33 gallon bags to a different location and received $28. I would recommend a place where one can actually monitor what is being taken and what is thrown away rather than a place that's rushed you out the door so to speak. read more

Maybe it was a poor choice to go the day before the 4th off July but the line was out into the street and wasn't moving. Waited about 15 min in the same spot before I decided to leave. Cars were coming out but since there were cars parked on the side of the only way in and out. It was extremely difficult for people to exit. read more

Wasted almost an hour of my life for $16... I drove by and saw there was no one in line so I turned around stopped by expected couple minutes tops since I was the 5th person in line. Nope sorry doesn't work like that here. There is no order no direction. Homeless and crackhead jumping the line cause they are walking up with unsorted stuff so you have to wait double for a basket full of crap. 15 min later of waiting in the car and 30 min outside with the homeless and crackheads. All because I thought 5 people in front of me no problem... this isn't the first time either I gave these peeps a second shot thought maybe the first time was just a fluke sorry no this place is all kinds of bad... Save yourself some time and go to Main Street recycling. I'm pretty sure that's how they get half their customers since all the advertising looks like it's here. Marvin the so called Supervisor deserves less than a star today, I would give negative stars if I could for his lack of Managerial expertise and customer service. I presented a virtual coupon offered through their website texted to my phone and clearly stated an expiration date of 11/30/2016. Today is October 6th 2016. He quickly prints the ticket which is practically half of what I would have gotten. He quickly stated that he needed it to be printed out. Why offer the coupon if you will not honor it? All I asked was for him to honor his company coupon for one transaction and explain that to the boss. He said he needs to scan the barcode. Now you are going to lie and tell me that there is a barcode on the damn coupon? The person in line behind me had a coupon and guess what, there was no damn barcode Marvin. What is the level of difficulty for him to understand how to resolve a situation being that he is the Supervisor on duty. Then he goes on to say that he can not do it because he already printed the ticket. I said then void the transaction, and redo it at the rate offered on the coupon. After all the debate, he accepted that he rather not honor the coupon, and he would rather give me my cans back. Seriously, I don't mind taking my cans back if I'm getting treated unfairly over a simple coupon. If you really have a problem honoring a coupon on your website, maybe you should tell the Boss to get on top of his responsibility and remove it if it is causing so much turmoil for his employees. Don't waste your time dealing with ignorant people like I just did. I hope that this review hits your Inbox Mike. And I hope you can be a business man enough to resolve this matter or give proper direction on how to do so to Marvin. That'd part of being a boss or a business person. If you can't understand the lack of accountability in the issues that occurred at your business and solve it quickly, your customers should understand the unproffesionalism displayed today at your business was not right. This is my first and last time going here. When I finally got in after 45 minutes waiting in line. I had a employee come up to my car look at my bags and tell me I couldn't recycle my items. I was confused because I'm watching another employee dump items from bags. He then asks me if I speak Spanish, I told him no and he got aggravated, rude, disrespectful and continued to tell me I couldn't recycle. After I continued to ask why I finally realized, since he couldn't explain it, since I didn't speak Spanish, that I need to separate my items, no problem. I can do that. But don't say you can't take my items at all. So then he takes my bags after I separated them and leaves. I have no idea what's going on, since I've never been here to know the process. After the confusing process, I finally get to the window. I ask the speak to the manager, not there. Then I ask for a supervisor not there. So as Fidel is cashing me out, ask me what happened and as I began to explain, he cuts me off because he didn't have time to listen and told me to call the number listed on the side. As I am waking to my car to leave, another employee (Morsel) who was in the office, comes out and yells at me to move my car. Please hire some adults not children to operate your business. And please employee some people with customer service and that can communicate with all your customers. Terrible service and terrible customer service. Will not be coming back. read more

I've been there twice and had the same bad feeling both times. I go to Main Street Recycling instead. I gave them a coupon today from the Penny Saver or Get 1 Free magazine, as I handed them the slip for what I had taken there for recycling; it's the same coupon they place on the penny saver coupon book, same pricing etc,. They took the coupon, but didn't give me that pricing. I feel I get ripped off, like they don't give me the right weight and pay me less for what I take them. This is the same feeling I got when I first went there years ago. I only went there today because Main Street Recycling was closed for the holidays, For a recycling place, this place seems shady. read more
