    Meatball sub

Dined in on a Saturday afternoon with mom. Sandwich was yummy, we had the meatball sub. The service was nice. Mom and pop feel in the shop. This place has a good review so I was happy to finally try it.

Excellent Italian Sub - not too much oil or Italian taste, but the bread and meat were very fresh. The staff were courteous, the meat provided was filling, and the size of the sub was large. $16 for a full sub. Will definitely come again when craving a sub in the area!

All I can say is wow! This is the real deal. If your looking for a genuine, over the top New Jersey sub sandwich, this is it! Mikes Subs is what Subway And Jersey Mike's are trying to copy...but they can't. Everything is fresh, the sandwiches are stuffed and delicious. The cold cuts are sliced very thin. Which enhances the flavor. Then they're piled high and topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, oregano, oil and wine vinegar. Inside, I met people who've come from North Carolina and from Florida just to get a taste of a REAL submarine sandwich, and this place is worth the pilgrimage!

    Sorrento Super

Classic Sub shop with fresh subs. I had the Sorrento Super and it was on the money. Fresh bread, meats, and decent proportions.

Just observe a young sandwich man doing the business!

With many years of subs from Mike's under my belt today I write my review. Each and every time I visit this amazing sub shop I get what? Amazed! This is the quintessential sub shop in the entire bay shore area. Where else can you get a beautiful sandwich on Memorial Monday? The entire crew was there not just the you fun slingers but the guys who I assume own the joint. Friendly fast and happy staff! Great dining area with clean bright surroundings. Excellent choice of chips and drinks and let's not forget the star of the show the delicious and ample sub sandwich. Everyone in the area must not hesitate to enjoy a sandwich from Mikes in Keyport.

They make good subs but I feel they are pricey and don't put enough meat on their subs. Could be meow generous with the price you pay.

Delicious, always well done and exactly what I ordered. The tuna is the best in the area and the bread is always fresh.

This is a classic fried seafood spot that my family has been coming to for generations. Our go-to…read moreorder is the fried shrimp platter and fried scallops platter. High quality seafood, never fishy/smelly at all. Their fried batter also never come sour greasy, it's always light and crispy. No matter how busy this small shop gets, they have their ordering and cooking process down to a T, and you're usually out of there in less than 10 minutes! It's a very plain, small building, no dining in - it's strictly takeout. We usually drive around the neighborhood and park somewhere by the water to eat.

Sigh... I hate to lower my previous 4 star review to 3 stars, but I was incredibly disappointed…read morewith my food. I was heading back up north after a beautiful day at the Jersey Shore and decided to stop by the Keyport Fishery. This was my second visit. I had such a delicious meal during my first visit, so I had high hopes. I ordered the Lobster Sandwich, which is supposed to come with 1/3 lb of fish, fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce, and lemon. Current price on the menu states it's $15.01 as of July 2025. I asked the employees if the lobster was served warm with butter or cold with mayo. They told me it's served deep fried with a buttery bun. I hesitated because I wasn't sure if I would like it fried. I should've gone with my gut and ordered something else... but I really wanted lobster! My order was ready within a few minutes. I walked out (it's take-out only) with my bag, excited to dig my teeth in some delicious lobster. Man, I was DISAPPOINTED when I opened that brown paper bag. This was not a sandwich... It was two burger buns with liquid butter smeared on them... with a small portion of deep fried lobster wedged in between. The presentation was similar to a fast food franchise burger. It was COMICALLY SMALL. The side of fries was bigger than it. It's supposed to come with 1/3 lb of fish, but I doubt there was that much in it. The lobster had no flavor at all! Ugh, I am definitely not a fan of having it deep fried. PASS. The buns were fluffy, but that's the only positive thing I can say. The melted butter didn't add much flavor overall. They also forgot to give me tartar sauce and lemon, which I really could've used... given how flavorless the lobster was. $16 for crinkle cut fries and a sad lobster "sandwich". I finished it in a few bites since it was so small and I was still really hungry. Lesson learned - I will stick to their seafood platters. Way better bang for your buck. I'd skip the sandwiches. I will give them another try in the future and hopefully it'll be a positive experience like my first visit.
