Always 5 stars at Lenoras! This is a go to spot for breakfast/brunch for our family for over 15 years. They serve authentic Mexican food along with American choices as well. Chilaquiles with chorizo is always a standout. We went yesterday for a celebratory brunch and as usual left very happy. Specials are always good. Service is always great. I tried Lenora's for the first time over the weekend and I had an alright experience. I ended up ordering the tingadilla -- a chicken quesadilla with avocado inside. The quesadilla itself was fine: the meat was juicy but could've used more flavor. We did order a side of guac which was pretty yummy. In terms of our dining experience, the place felt really cramped and it got loud very easily. Our waiter was very nice and brought out the food really quick. If I came back here, I'd likely try an item off the breakfast menu next time. read more

Consistency in offering delicious food is so important and Lenora's always delivers. Every time I go, I ordered a chilaquiles with over medium eggs and add chorizo. This dish includes crispy tortilla chips as the bed for green salsa, avocado, eggs, and pinto beans, and a small scoop of sour cream on top. After I eat, I want to reset the clock and do it again. How could it be 9 years since I reviewed Lenora's. Still a hidden gem of Keyport. The food is so delicious and all ingredients are fresh. The vegetable lover's omelette is one of my favorites. Omelettes are light fluffy. They are so much better than those you get at a diner. This is one of my go to places in Keyport. Owner and staff are incredibly nice. Nice little place. My husband really enjoyed his omelette. I wasn't a big fan of the breakfast burrito... probably my fault. I was expecting it to be a pick up and eat burrito ... instead it was wet and soggy from all the salsa and covered with sour cream and cheese. Not much flavor either. Ate about half of it. It's been almost 10 years when we last came here. We decided to return back here. We were immediately seated after checking in. The restaurant follows a primarily beige color scheme and is narrow, with the rightmost wall being lined by a long booth seat, four regular tables, and a small corner booth. Regular tables line the leftmost wall and there are two televisions that are mounted to the walls. One plays by the corner near the entrance and the other one plays above the long booth seat. Framed pictures and knickknacks adorn the walls as well. Daughter ordered the Mexican country eggs, which are scrambled eggs, chorizo, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos peppers, potatoes and cheese over corn tortillas with sour cream and beans. She thought it was extremely delicious and very cheesy. But, she felt that 98% of her entree was potatoes. Hubs had the chilaquiles and eggs, which are two eggs served over crispy corn tortillas with green tomatillo salsa, queso fresco, avocado, beans and sour cream. He liked them and said that it could use a little more spunk. Lastly, I had the peach blueberry pancakes. These are blueberry pancakes topped with peaches and whipped cream. This was pretty good. Daughter was convinced that the peaches were jarred but it was delicious, anyway. There's an operating fee that was in our receipt , but there was a discount if you pay cash. I've eaten here many times. What a true gem! I was running errands and stopped by for dinner. The place is not that big and has a modern vibe going on. My server was the owner and she's the best! I've had several meals at this little power house diner. The foos here is always fresh delicious and perfect. They have a nice menu including breakfast lunch and dinner. I know this place has very high ratings so i was surprised at my experience. 3 stars is me being generous. They were a close walk from 3BR distillery so me and 4 friends went there. It's a decent sized space. Lenora was our waitress and she was great. My issue was the food. Everything tasted like it had been fried after fish and had a fishy oily taste. My friend ordered the onion rings and you could taste it there too but more on the blander foods. The Buffalo chicken empanadas were super disappointing. It was a small size and barely any Buffalo flavor. 5 small pierogi sized empanadas for $11. The inside was like a Buffalo chicken mush with blue cheese. The outside had that oily taste. I had Lenora's sandwich with fries. The fries were only salvaged by the sauce. But they were the worst part. You could really taste the oil. They had no salt on them. The sandwich was okay. It had roasted red peppers mozarella chicken and balsamic on a toasted panini. My friends didn't say anything about their food. read more

Stopped in for lunch and got "Lenora's Favorite Sandwich" because if it is good enough for THE Lenora it is good enough for me. Yummy grilled chicken, warm moz and roasted red peppers. It was just wanted I wanted. It came on flatter bread so it was kind of like a little panini. So good! And came with lots of fries that I ate all of. The space is nice and big and because I came for lunch on a weekday was nearly empty, but I can see it getting very busy on weekend mornings. Staff was amazingly friendly, coffee was strong, food was GOOD, and everything came out so quick! Nothing not to love. It's also on a lovely little street jam packed with cute antique shops. This breakfast, lunch/brunch place is a nice surprise in the up-and-coming "new" Keyport. Lately there has been renewed interest in retail due to the fine food establishments in the last few years. Lenora's is one fine example. I stopped here for breakfast and this place did not disappoint. Unlimited coffee was excellent and a Mexican Country eggs hit the spot. Ubaldo, was a really competent server. I got to order in Español. The place started to get really busy and I wasn't rushed at all. Super clean inside, nicely decorated and clean restrooms. Sandwiches were okay, empanadas not good. I was realllly aggravated when the bill came and a 1 oz side of mayo was $1. That's horrifying it was a tiny cup. While looking for breakfast joints one morning I came across this little place and decided to check it out. It's right on the main drag in Keyport. And it is indeed, little. There is very limited seating so get there early. We did and we had to wait 15 minutes. TO THE MANAGERS: There were two tables in the back that were completely empty and none of the employees would allow us to be seated there. They were for "groups". Well if you have customers that are waiting and there are tables open, that does not go over well from the customers perspective. I suggest you use those tables for call ahead seating if you are going to do that. Also, no grumpy customers. Now, the service was good and the food was great. It's a step up from diner food. My friend ordered the stuffed Nutella French toast. It's more like 2 pieces of French toast with Nutella in the middle. Don't call it stuffed if it isn't. You should buy un-sliced bread, cut it appropriately, and STUFF THAT NUTELLA IN THERE! Regardless of that, it was delicious. I ordered the eggs Benedict and the first time they brought it out, the sauce was brown and disgusting looking. I politely asked them for a new plate, they happily obliged, and it came out perfect the second time. It was scrumptious. I don't think I took a breath in-between bites. Oh man this food is good! The breakfast I had was great. "Ranchero eggs" good stuff if you're looking for a breakfast or brunch change up to the normal offerings around here. Others had eggs and pancakes and thought they were really good too. Light and fluffy eggs. For a twist, I added chorizo to my ranchero eggs and switched out the regular salsa for their green tomatillo salsa...wayyyy better. That should be their standard offering for that dish. It is amazing! The only complaint we had is that their coffee was not very good. Other than that, I Can't wait to go back. Haven't had anything else yet so I can't comment on the rest of their menu. read more

AWESOME Mexican food! Lenora's has a very cute indoor dining area and also a very expansive menu. I always get the Mexican Country Eggs and add avocado.
