This place is a local gem that makes excellent food. The kitchen is open you can see them rolling out the dough fresh for every order. Their pizza crust is the best I've had. I work nearby and try to stop by once a week for the lunch combo. Super friendly people and excellent service. The freshness and quality of the ingredients sets them apart from other pizza places

Great family friendly spot for pizza. They offer other items such as wings and calzones. We ordered pepperoni pizza, the Hawaii calzone and bbq wings. The pizza and calzone were great. Really tasty and good size. I was not a huge fan of the wings, i was expecting a different take on them, seemed like a whole bottle of sauce was poured on them. I am still giving 5 stars because i enjoyed everything else and the staff was friendly and nice. Greay spot!

Wanted a place for some good pizza with a group of friends while we were visiting the area. We were able to call in our order to-go and it was ready on time and we paid at the restaurant. The staff was very nice and it seemed like there was a good amount of seating inside. All of our pizzas were done correctly but there wasn't really anything super special about the quality. However, the pizzas were very tasty so I would visit again!

Mik's is located in the same plaza as the old Fresh N Easy on the corner of Channel Islands & Rose Ave. It is right next to Spudnut's & a barber shop. My husband read great reviews, so he wanted to try them out. He ordered a medium sausage pizza, a small pepperoni pizza for our nephew & a veggie calzone for me. The service was great, the restaurant was very clean. There was booths & even a tv to watch sports. My husband loved his pizza & even said it was better than Toppers, which surprised me, because he loves Toppers! My nephew also loved his pizza, but said it was very hot! I, too, enjoyed my veggie calzone, but I wish they sautéed or roasted their veggies ahead of time before baking it into a calzone, to add more flavor & avoid from making the crispy crust soggy, which it did. The calzone had ricotta cheese & mozzarella, but no sauce inside, which surprised me. They did give me sauce on the side, maybe so it wouldn't get soggy, but like I said, it did because of the veggies. All of our food was incredibly hot, so we had to wait to dig into our food a little bit. The marinara sauce was delicious, but I'm pretty sure it had meat or meat juices in it. It was good, but definitely not vegan. I think the only vegan options were the salads. I think Mik's has great potential to become another great pizza contender to Toppers & Pizza Man Dan's (formerly Rusty's Pizza), but I do think what would set them apart is making some slight modifications by having more vegetarian & vegan friendly options, which the other pizza places do not have. If they carried Daiya cheese, or like I mentioned, roasted their veggies or even had meat substitutes, that may make a huge difference. This all of course are just suggestions, which would help cater to a more diverse audience. I say this only because, I myself, would probably not have come in, if it weren't for my husband craving pizza on this day. I would come here again, but I'd make modifications to my order. My husband would DEFINITELY come back for the pizza & would try a calzone, which many reviews raved about. Overall 4 Stars... Parking... 5 stars Cleanliness... 5 stars Easy to read & understand menu... 5 stars Vegetarian/vegan options... 3 stars Service... 5 stars Prices... 4 stars

Good spaghetti and meatballs, pizza and garlic bread. It's not far from Port Hueneme so don't have to drive far to get some Italian food - it's not fancy, more like a fast food or take out place but there is in store seating and the food is good. It's worth a visit if you are in the area and in the mood for Italian! read more

To whom it may concern, I ordered from Miks today, for the first time. I ordered the ranch chicken large pizza. quality and price fantastic... we need to support our local smaller businesses like Miks. very friendly quick and much better than most of the lather companies. and I feel much more affordable especiall y the quality! They got the oven right...major key!! My son and I stopped in for a quick bite to eat after getting haircuts; he picked it off while we waited at the barber next door and said "dad, let's try it...pleeeeassse..." I'm, admittedly, a pizza snob but figured "ehhh...why not." We were greeted by the sweetest girl who had a great disposition and really seemed to care-I'm guessing she's part of the family. As I ordered, I peered up...and there it was...A Bakers Pride gas oven..a game changer by all accounts and a huge leg up over the conveyor belt electrics that the Toppers of the world use to crank out generic pies... The place was busy, but not overcrowded with sports on TV and some room to sit. Within 10 minutes, our calzone arrived; crisp outside, bubbling inside and served with a traditional marinara sauce that was just right... The girl who took our order came by to check on us, she seemed sincerely concerned for our experience-I love strong restaurant customer experience; it was had here.. It felt like our calzone was gone in 4 bites, but that's only because of how good it was!!! My son wanted another...but fall baseball is around the corner...can't be sporting a belly on game day! After eating, the people I believe to be the owners chatted with me..I complimented them on the oven choice and superb service.. Truly one of the best pizza joint experiences I've had recently. Support local pizza!!! It's a tough as nails business and requires a hell of a spirit to keep the doors open. Quality food, superb service and an absolute guarantee my boy and I will return soon!! Mik's Pizza is HANDS DOWN the best of Ventura County! Their pizza and their sandwiches and salads are beyond delicious, the pricing is extremely reasonable as well. This is not a big franchise and is Independently owned and operated by an incredible staff who is always friendly. My deliveries are always on time and I've even used Mik's to cater an event to which all of the guests LOVED the food! If I could rate this place more than 5 stars I would in a heartbeat! Perfect cheese to sauce ratio and the BEST tasting pepperonis! read more

Our family has found our new pizza joint. This place is amazing! We wanted to support a local business and decided to order from Mik's pizza. We are so glad we did. Our pizza was delicious and not so greasy and is was delicious. Would highly recommend this location. I totally love this place! One of my favorite for my 30-minute lunch break. The food is delicious and the portion size is generous, sometimes my husband and I share the sub sandwich. I love that they make everything fresh! The pizza is awesome, chicken fettuccini is one of my sons favorite. All around we love and enjoy coming here! The owners are very friendly and know us by name. Highly recommend this place!!! read more

This review is long overdue since I've been going here pretty steadily (almost every week) since I moved to Ventura six months ago. And if that's not a testament to how good it is, I don't know what is! I would recommend the calzones but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is delightful and the location is so clean, nice, and fun! I only wish they could deliver a bit farther (like I said, I live in Ventura)--but again, how far I drive for it is just another testament to how good it is!!! read more

I had a coupon that was brought to my house by those guys that walk around the neighborhood. 1 large speciality pizza and an order of wings for $20.99. We read the reviews and stopped on our way to Carpinteria. We ordered a large half deluxe 1/2 double pepperoni for our family of 5 and a Caesar salad. Was awesome. New to the area and trying different spots. This place definitely wasn't bad by any means but we probably won't make it our go to spot. I also don't even like pizza so that was likely anyways. I ordered the turkey and cheese sub toasted and it was pretty good. I also order cheese sticks which ended up being just cheese bread. My boyfriend got the small meat lovers which he said was a little dry and the bbq wings which he didn't care for. read more

Best pizza in Oxnard!!! Go to spot used to be Toppers, for the freshness and higher quality in comparison to the "normal" chains (e.g. Dominos, Pizza Hut, etc.) 9 out of 10 times I'll choose a local business if possible, so gave Mik's a shot. Family owned and they are always there, making the pizza' smiling, awesome customer service. I haven't been to Toppers since! Give them a chance, support local businesses, enjoy! read more

Now, this is only a first impression. I live fairly nearby, and I hadn't gone here as I hadn't heard many good things about this place while it was Twin's Pizza. I came in today though, seeing the reviews, and they seem more than justified. Very friendly service and great, fresh, good-looking pizza? There's not much more to ask for in a pizza place. A real sorta hidden gem of a place, I'll definitely come back in the future. read more

I recently ordered a supreme pizza and hot wings from Mik's and it was delicious! Customer service is top notch. They use fresh veggies for the pizza toppings which is fantastic and the wings were huge and true to being "hot wings" aka nice and spicy. The diner area is spacious enough for social distancing and it's very clean. The staff was so nice. I highly recommend you check them out. They've officially got a permanent customer here. read more

Miks Pizza is the best!! This place is a must go if you are in the area! I have had just about everything on the menu and it is absolutely delicious (My favorite are the calzones though!) I found this pizza place by accident and thought I would give it a try. The prices are very reasonable; especially if you are used to eating at toppers or Pizza man Dans.. This is a family owned and operated restaurant; very friendly people from my experience. The woman went out of her way to help me with my order and pickup. The pizza sauce is really tasty and made in house. I ordered a small cheese pizza and an olive and pepperoni calzone (all for under 18 dollars!) I will be back.. read more

Best place for pizza! The boyfriend absolutely loved his pizza and lasagna! The pizza slices are HUGE! The lasagna was amazing and a big serving with a lot of meat and sauce, it also came with garlic bread! I was so happy to know that their sauce doesn't have cheese and their crust doesn't have butter. I got a small pizza with no cheese and it was absolutely tasty. The small is big enough for two people- if you feel like sharing, or it might be just enough for one- who am I to judge!? Lol the place is nice and clean. It ha plenty of tables to dine in. They also do delivery. The place is family owned- fresh food, quality ingredients. The owners- husband and wife are so friendly and have great customer service. They answered all my questions with no issues. Their son also works there! They all have great customer service. The boyfriend and I showed up about 15 minutes before they usually open and they opened early for us! Their menu is great! Pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salad and great deserts! Vegan ice cream as well! The prices are very affordable and I truly believe low for the quality of food you get! Everything is delicious and fresh. Try it! You will thank me later ^_^! read more

After waiting a total of 40 minutes without receiving our second appetizer or even being offered drink refills, we had enough. We asked the busser for our check and requested to cancel the remaining appetizer because we were extremely frustrated at that point. Instead of a manager or supervisor coming to speak with us, the busser returned to tell us that we couldn't cancel the appetizer because it had already been prepared. We paid, took the meatballs to go, and left disappointed. Only then did our server come over and say, "Sorry, we got stacked up." No manager or person in charge ever came to apologize or address the situation. The person who appeared to be the manager simply dropped off our boxed food and walked away without saying a word. This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I've dined here multiple times before and have always enjoyed both the food and the service, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, I will no longer support this business and will make sure to warn my family, friends, and colleagues to save their money and support businesses that value their customers and hire competent, attentive staff.

Family owned business, top-notch and sublime pizza. Had a large deluxe pizza and HAD to speak to the owner. This place is a must when you are in search of classic and authentic Italian food. The hospitality is out of this world and I felt right at home. Comfortable seats, spacious, and great views of the tv's in every corner of the restaurant. Food was out in 10 minutes and I have to say those 10 minutes led to one of the best experiences in my life! I am a pizza nut and this place definitely ranks up there. The toppings were fresh, the sauce and cheese were good. Even the crust was very good, which can make or break a pizza!
