Lunch combo pizza, comes with salad or chips

This place is a local gem that makes excellent food. The kitchen is open you can see them rolling out the dough fresh for every order. Their pizza crust is the best I've had. I work nearby and try to stop by once a week for the lunch combo. Super friendly people and excellent service. The freshness and quality of the ingredients sets them apart from other pizza places

Great family friendly spot for pizza. They offer other items such as wings and calzones. We ordered pepperoni pizza, the Hawaii calzone and bbq wings. The pizza and calzone were great. Really tasty and good size. I was not a huge fan of the wings, i was expecting a different take on them, seemed like a whole bottle of sauce was poured on them. I am still giving 5 stars because i enjoyed everything else and the staff was friendly and nice. Greay spot!

Wanted a place for some good pizza with a group of friends while we were visiting the area. We were able to call in our order to-go and it was ready on time and we paid at the restaurant. The staff was very nice and it seemed like there was a good amount of seating inside. All of our pizzas were done correctly but there wasn't really anything super special about the quality. However, the pizzas were very tasty so I would visit again!

Mik's is located in the same plaza as the old Fresh N Easy on the corner of Channel Islands & Rose Ave. It is right next to Spudnut's & a barber shop. My husband read great reviews, so he wanted to try them out. He ordered a medium sausage pizza, a small pepperoni pizza for our nephew & a veggie calzone for me. The service was great, the restaurant was very clean. There was booths & even a tv to watch sports. My husband loved his pizza & even said it was better than Toppers, which surprised me, because he loves Toppers! My nephew also loved his pizza, but said it was very hot! I, too, enjoyed my veggie calzone, but I wish they sautéed or roasted their veggies ahead of time before baking it into a calzone, to add more flavor & avoid from making the crispy crust soggy, which it did. The calzone had ricotta cheese & mozzarella, but no sauce inside, which surprised me. They did give me sauce on the side, maybe so it wouldn't get soggy, but like I said, it did because of the veggies. All of our food was incredibly hot, so we had to wait to dig into our food a little bit. The marinara sauce was delicious, but I'm pretty sure it had meat or meat juices in it. It was good, but definitely not vegan. I think the only vegan options were the salads. I think Mik's has great potential to become another great pizza contender to Toppers & Pizza Man Dan's (formerly Rusty's Pizza), but I do think what would set them apart is making some slight modifications by having more vegetarian & vegan friendly options, which the other pizza places do not have. If they carried Daiya cheese, or like I mentioned, roasted their veggies or even had meat substitutes, that may make a huge difference. This all of course are just suggestions, which would help cater to a more diverse audience. I say this only because, I myself, would probably not have come in, if it weren't for my husband craving pizza on this day. I would come here again, but I'd make modifications to my order. My husband would DEFINITELY come back for the pizza & would try a calzone, which many reviews raved about. Overall 4 Stars... Parking... 5 stars Cleanliness... 5 stars Easy to read & understand menu... 5 stars Vegetarian/vegan options... 3 stars Service... 5 stars Prices... 4 stars

I discovered Mik's late last year while working second shift. I decided to give them a try because I was tired of the competition's incompetent and utterly moronic drivers constantly getting lost and/or doing other charming things like parking down and/or across the street and yelling at the top of their lungs that the pizza had FINALLY arrived. My workplace isn't THAT freakin' hard to find, and modern technology doesn't leave much room for excuses. I've had better pizza and worse; Mik's is somewhere in the middle. Overall it's basic, formulaic pizza-pie they do very well and most important, none of their drivers were obnoxious assholes with a bad sense of direction and even worse social skills. As I'm at work I simply don't have time to mess around, and Mik's has always delivered the goods. I've also had their calzones and sandwiches which are pretty good but never ordered any sides. Overall a good joint. read more

This is hands down one of the best presented pizzas I've ever had! It almost looks like it came from a commercial. The pizza was cooked to perfection, nothing messy or burned and it tasted amazing. I have had a hard time finding very good pizza in the Oxnard area, specially one that delivers to Port Hueneme, and I am not a fan of any of the popular places with multiple locations. Welcome Mik's to my list of favorites. The crust, love the crust, did I mention the crust? With fresh ingredients and fast and cordial delivery to PH. I am hooked. read more

Amazing! We were driving by from a weekend trip and decided to look for an Italian spot. I love finding small family owned businesses because they are always the best! Got the meat lovers pizza, chicken Alfredo and hot wings. They were all delicious! It's the sauce for me, and the sauce was on point, all ingredients fresh! Very friendly and welcoming environment. Mik's was delicious! We ordered a calzone, boneless wings, pepperoni cheese rolls, and some cannolis. The only problem was that the wings I received were bone-in...BUT...they were excellent, anyway! The pepperoni rolls were also great. And the calzone was perfect. We finished it off with the cannolis, which were tasty. read more

I ordered online yesterday to have a calzone for lunch . It was fast service . It was very good the only reason why it's not a 5star is that I wish it had a bit more toppings .(meat lovers calzone ) Other than that it was good . Nice gentlemen in the front counter . We've been coming here for awhile now because Toppers, although bomb, is pricey when we are in a pinch. This place for the price is awesome. Flavorful and never disappoints. My husband loves the wings. The staff are super friendly and we recommend them to everyone! It's local and family owned which we love to support. read more

Tried Mik's pizza today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Not only were the people at the restaurant super friendly, the pizza was really, really good! I have seen Mik's but decided to try tonight based on their high Yelp reviews and they were spot on. Pizza was really fresh tasting and overall just a really tasty pizza. I called 4 places looking for a NYC white pie. No one would do it. He asked me what was on it and I said ricotta and sauce on the side. They made it for me! This is the traditional NYC pizza. I get it on the east coast all the time. Southern California doesn't seem to understand it. I was very impressed and they are family owned. I will be here in the area for a while and will order from them again. Highly recommend!! AAA+++ read more

I have been here multiple times, it is a family owned restuarant and you can tell how much the owner loves making pasta. My go to plate is the Calzone Meat Lovers and it has never dissapointed. Every time i have ordered they say GIVE US 12 Minutes and like they promise i am out of there in 12 Minutes. The pizza is great and the customer service just as great. Thanks!!! read more

Great pizza, super tasty with right amount of crust and crunch, fresh ingredients and not too greasy. We're not a pizza family but wow, we always make a stop at Mik's when we're in Oxnard. The salami/garlic/mushroom and pineapple/onion/olive pies never fail to make us smile. The folks are always friendly and it doesn't hurt that Mik's is right next to a great donut place. read more

So I ordered from eat24 today from yelp and I confirmed the delivery time to be 6:30pm today since my guest will arrive at that time. Unfortunately the nice gentleman who delivered my pizza arrived at 5:30. He stated my receipt said 5:30 however my email and yelp state 6:30. The food is delicious. I understand mixups happen but just an FYI you might want to call the location to confirm they have the proper time. read more

Small time pizza parlor with more to offer than just pizza. You won't know Mik's is there because it's located at what used to be the Fresh & Easy shopping center. I'm often in the area and I kept them in mind until some reviews came in and even better, menu images. My choice for lunch was easy when I saw calzones were on their menu and customizable. Other menu offerings included pasta, salads and sandwiches as well. I ended up ordering a deluxe calzone. It was a good choice when you want to cover both areas in the meat and veggie department. The size of the calzone was bigger than expected and satisfied my appetite. I was happy with the price and see myself returning in the future. read more

We tried Mik's after a day of outdoor activities in Ventura. It was amazing and the woman who took our order/gave us our food was the sweetest person ever!! Having never been to Mik's before, we did not know the hours, we called 25/30min before they closed with a large order, they were super super sweet!! I called back 10min later to add an item & STILL super sweet(I promise it wasn't a test of their patience, I am just forgetful) We plan to make this a regular stop when out in Ventura!! We ordered.... XL meat XL Deluxe XL half cheese/half sausage & garlic Calzone-sausage mush & garlic Meat calzone Pepperoni rolls Cheese sticks(ex garlic) Garlic bread with cheese(&extra garlic) Our total was ~140ish which gave us dinner & lunch the next day. We loved it all!!! It's not always easy to find a place, on the go, that offers something for all 7 people in my household, Mik's fits that bill-without breaking the bank!! &we still cannot figure out our favorites....personally I will order another calzone next time, for sure!! The kids are split on pizza/cheese sticks, pepperoni rolls, garlic bread, & one calzone vote. You can tell their dough is made with a multi-day process to develop flavor and texture, not just thrown together. The sauce is amazing, premium toppings, all the elements for an amazing pizza!!! read more

Wanted to try something new and delivered so Pizza seemed like a good idea. Happy to say that it worked great! We ordered the Veggie (thin crust) and the cheese pineapple (regular) with a few extras. Pizza was good, next time I will ask for the crust to be a little more toasty. Having the crust a bit more crunchy will definitely make it great. Overall the pizza was tasty, will definitely have it again. read more

Wow! Great deals and excellent pizza. We did a pickup and the woman at the counter was so friendly and funny. She was a great employee (receipt says MR0) they should give her a raise! Had us wanting to come back before even trying their scrumptious pizza. Worth the drive from Oxnard Shores in the middle of traffic hour. read more

Not only did it take a long time for anyone to even take our order, but they also forgot our waters. It took about 20 minutes before we received anything. We ordered drinks and two appetizers. One appetizer arrived after about 20 minutes, but our drinks didn't arrive until approximately 25 minutes after we ordered. While we waited, we observed several waiters standing around talking instead of helping customers. We also watched two other tables ask multiple times for their checks before finally receiving them. The staff didn't appear busy or overwhelmed, which made the delays even more frustrating. To make matters worse, several tables that were seated after us received their food before we did. After waiting a total of 40 minutes without receiving our second appetizer or even being offered drink refills, we had enough. We asked the busser for our check and requested to cancel the remaining appetizer because we were extremely frustrated at that point. Instead of a manager or supervisor coming to speak with us, the busser returned to tell us that we couldn't cancel the appetizer because it had already been prepared. We paid, took the meatballs to go, and left disappointed. Only then did our server come over and say, "Sorry, we got stacked up." No manager or person in charge ever came to apologize or address the situation. The person who appeared to be the manager simply dropped off our boxed food and walked away without saying a word. The baristas are always friendly and helpful, and even though the place is often busy and packed, their customer service never falters. As for the drinks, I can only speak to their espresso and basic coffee, but in that area, they do not disappoint. While I don't think the roast is quite as good as Beacon, it is a very strong second in the area. Whenever I'm in Oxnard, I don't hesitate to stop by Dolce Vita for a great caffeinated drink.

I have lived here for nearly 4 years and just discovered this place. Family owned and staffed, they are very nice people. The prices are actually good for the area and what your getting! I am a pizza nut and this place definitely ranks up there. The toppings were fresh, the sauce and cheese were good. Even the crust was very good, which can make or break a pizza!
