They encourage more Formal which is refreshing in a town where most restaurants invite casual. We were on time for our reservation, but waited a few minutes in their small waiting area. The hostess/manager had a bit of a school principal attitude, but overall was pleasant. We were seated in a small room amongst several other tables, but still felt intimate. The lighting is a bit on the dark side, but the candles bring out a great atmosphere. A violinist and cello created a romantic feeling (Enchanted Rock Orchestra Strolling Duo). We started with cocktails, which were crafted beautifully. The menu has old classics as well as innovative ones. For the appetizers, we had the focaccia bread which was delicious as well as the stuffed mushrooms which were delicately made and quite tasty. The wine list is short but encompasses Old world and New World wines. My wife had a Bordeaux while I had a Tuscany blend. Both delicious. For our entrées, we shared the filet mignon with peppercorn sauce with candied brussels sprouts and hand whipped mashed potatoes as sides. The food was surprisingly delicious, well presented and portioned. We truly enjoyed our entrées. For dessert we had the bananas foster cheesecake. Unique, not too sweet, delicious ending. If you come to Fredericksburg, definitely try this restaurant. You will enjoy the experience, the ambience and most definitely the food.

Wagyu should taste highly flavorful! - Mashed potatoes were authentic, yet also bland and lacked flavor. - Great cocktails and wine options. - Very limited space inside. It's difficult to walk to the bar or bathroom without running into multiple people, so if you prefer spacious areas, lookup pics of this place first! - Charging around $20 per person to book a reservation (refunded at check-in) and being unable to change a reservation the day before, even when the restaurant still shows availability, is ridiculous. I've visited tiny islands where the locals truly depend on tourism for every dollar of their livelihood, so you can't tell me this restaurant needs to charge for reservations to survive. I've never experienced this anywhere as a frequent traveler! - I respect their strict NO ball caps policy, but it was odd that my husband and I had a large naked Marilyn Monroe portrait on the wall for our main view. That's not exactly classy either!

Very nice. Our waitress was friendly, and our starter of mozzarella sticks and marinara arrived quickly. I thought they were good, but my wife thought they were excellent. My rating would be 3.5 stars out of 5, my wife gives it 5 out of 5. Staffing seemed very impressive, with more than adequate staff and all seemed friendly. I ordered the pollo alla griglia and my wife ordered the veal parmigiana. For my order, with the vegetables, I would rate it 5 out of 5! Vegetables and the seasoning was amazing! The chicken was excellent, and the lemon butter sauce was incredible! Definitely would order this again! My wife rated her food 4.5 out of 5. She found the veal to be a little salty. Overall, an excellent experience and I would highly recommend dining here.

The ambience might not be Old World Italian with a Chianti bottle candle holder on your table, but…read morethe food certainly is. In fact there are two shining stars of Luciano's, food and service. A basket of fresh, hot and soft bread rolls hits the the table almost as soon as we sat down. We had the fried Calamari appetizer for the two of us and it was enough to be a meal by itself. Don't let the underwhelming descriptions on the menu fool you, the Shrimp Luciano comes with 6 super-sized shrimp that are beautiful and lightly encrusted on top of perfectly prepared buttery spaghetti. In order to keep the light crunch of the shrimp from getting soggy, the lemon butter sauce sits on the bottom of the bowl for dipping and sopping as desired. Every dish I saw comes from the kitchen looking "photo ready". Great presentation. What really made this evening pop was our server's attention to our table. Sophia never left a single detail unattended. If she felt our drink was taking too long (which I didn't), she'd apologize and let us know she was going to check on it. Her attention to detail and perfect timing was an absolute complement to the quality of the food. I didn't feel like she was waiting on us, it felt more like we had our own personal representative on staff. Finally, ambience...probably the weakest link of Luciano's, the conversation level is loud enough in the room that you don't feel like you have to whisper for privacy giving the room a lively and family friendly feel. There is background music playing but it's almost non-existent, in fact I had to stop and tilt my head to detect it. Personally I like a little background music and it wouldn't hurt to turn up the volume a notch. Over the long bar is a single screen with muted sound playing an NBA game. Luciano's is not over-priced with great food and great service. I'll be back

The ambience was tasteful and approachable like if somebody's grandmother ran a delightful restaurant that you'd actually want to visit. The service was trying their best Seemed pretty understaffed, but everything was fast and they were quite courteous. We had the focaccia which was stupendous, came with some wonderful dipping options after a glass of local red and a sparkling water we were served our main course, the wild boar Ragu what can I say about this? The homemade noodles were a true delight sauce was perfect and light in the bore... Oh, the bore. The tender amazing bore took me to flavor heaven I couldn't get enough. And of course, we saved a slice of focaccia to wipe everything up at the end. If you come across a bad review, you will probably see that it is a somewhat uneducated tasteless patron that's probably just twisted up about it being " too expensive " or that the " service was slow " so dear reader rest assured this is not your friendly neighborhood chilies this is something much much better.

We arrived at 6 to a little populated dining room. We were sat next to the window with the sun shining directly in our faces. The did close the curtains fryer I moved my chair to the side of the two top which was nice. We ordered the Insalata Alla Campana which had zero flavor. We asked if the could split and we were told the kitchen doesn't split plates. I would not recommend! We then ordered the roasted garlic and ricotta cheese meatballs and the Tuscan bean soup. If you go order two bowls of the Tuscan bean soup because it is amazing!1 I forgot our drinks. Hubs ordered the Fortunate Verde which was $17 dollars and very much over priced and a glass of the Rose which was mediocre at best. Our total bill was $80 before tip for appetizers and two drinks. This was a swing and a miss for us.

The castle-like architecture, expansive grounds, and overall atmosphere make it feel like a destination rather than just a brewery. In terms of size and majestic ambiance, it reminded me of Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown, New York. We stopped in for lunch on a weekday and still had about a 30-minute wait for a table. Fortunately, that wasn't a problem because we were able to enjoy a beer while waiting and take in the scenery. The property is large enough that exploring it becomes part of the experience. The beer selection is heavily focused on German styles, which was perfect for me. Whether you enjoy lagers, pilsners, bocks, or wheat beers, there is something for every fan of traditional German brewing. One of the fun touches is that many of the beers are available in liter size pours, adding to the authentic beer hall experience. The food menu is inspired by classic German cuisine, but it also offers a wide variety of other options, including some more upscale dishes. This makes it easy for everyone in a group to find something they will enjoy. Everything we ordered was excellent, with generous portions and high-quality ingredients. Beyond the food and beer, the atmosphere is what really makes this place special. The combination of the castle setting, beautiful grounds, German-inspired traditions, and excellent hospitality creates an experience that feels unique and memorable. Overall, this is far more than just a brewery. It's a destination worth visiting whether you're a beer enthusiast or simply looking for a great meal in a remarkable setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would gladly return.
