This is my second time coming here, after getting this nail set done, I am convinced that this is my "forever" nail salon! Jojo did my builder gel nails (pink and green set), I had very vague ideas about what I wanted, I was very indecisive. I had random photos for inspiration, I showed them to Jojo and he assured me he could create some designs based on the pictures I showed him. He was very gentle which I appreciated because my first time here with another nail tech was a bit painful and I did unfortunately get a cut on my finger, nails still looked good though (blue set). Jojo however exceeded my expectations! He was so focused and super sweet and kind! I can tell he took his time and checked in with me if I liked his ideas. His creativity is AMAZING!! I felt super comfortable and at ease with him. I am new to getting my nails done, I've been to a few other salons but they never "wowed" me. The atmosphere of this salon though is just amazing, equally a very relaxing and fun, inviting atmosphere! All the other workers were very smiley and sweet too which made me feel welcomed. Once you come here, all other nails salons just seem mediocre, this place is worth the money! I can't recommend them enough! The customer service was amazing from start to finish. The salon itself is beautiful, clean, and super cute inside. My niece referred me to this place after I saw how cute her nails were, and I was very pleasantly surprised. SERVICE REQUESTED I came in for a pedicure and they had so many wonderful options. Although it was busy I was seated immediately. They immediately offered me a seat in a comfortable chair that could massage me while I got acclimated and decided what I wanted to get. They then offered me cold bottled water, and champagne in a golden chalice and a warm neck/shoulder pillow while I sat. My nail tech talked me through a couple of options based off what I told her I liked. I got the milk and honey pedicure and it was amazing. I felt so well taken care of. QUALITY IT WAS AMAZING. My nail tech did a wonderful job and I felt so pampered. It was great spa vibes. There was tv in case we wanted to watch. It was an entire experience worth every single penny and I will DEFINITELY be returning. Also my pedicure lasted for weeks until I could go get it done again. VIBE They kept the champagne flowing and provided a wonderful service the entire time. The staff were very nice and friendly. The shop was very lovely, clean, and had great energy. I've been a loyal customer at Milano for the past two years. I initially saw Jojo, who always did a nice job, although my nails typically lasted about two weeks. One day when Jojo wasn't available, I booked with Monica. I was impressed -- the quality of her work was excellent, and my nails lasted three weeks without lifting or breaking. Because of that, I began seeing her regularly. Unfortunately, despite her skill, Monica consistently brings a negative attitude to every appointment. She is extremely rough and lacks any warmth or kindness in her demeanor. I've tried to overlook it because her work holds up well, but today was the final straw. I left the salon before she could touch me. The eye rolls and dead tone did it. If she is so miserable, maybe she should do something else! I simply refuse to tolerate that kind of energy any longer. I drive a considerable distance and pay a premium for quality service, and it's disheartening that professionalism and basic courtesy are not part of the experience. Why does it cost more to get a gel - x fill than a full gel x set? I went a month ago to get a gel x set and paid less than when I went back in to get it filled. I didn't have any missing nails and even if I did it should have been the same price, not more. The pricing here is ridiculous and inconsistent. I had hoped to receive the quality of service I saw people raving about but my experience was far from satisfactory. I had an appointment scheduled for the 4th and i recognize the crowd that brings, but my entire service was rushed. I booked for an acrylic overlay, and though my technician was nice, she rushed on my service. She wouldn't allow the gel to cure properly and now my gel is peeling. I also noticed other customers with beverages but me nor my daughter were offered any. It was an absolute mad house with different staff yelling and them scrambling to get customers out so they can maximize. I will not be returning. read more

Customers are the biggest bother to these service folks. They treat you with attitude as soon as you walk in through the door. If you are looking for a McDonald's of nail salons, this is the right spot. My first experience with this salon was an absolute disaster and disappointment I went in knowing the specific color I would like my nails and the nail technician gave me options that did not match what I was requesting. Instead of mixing colors to achieve the color I would like, the nail technician then up sold me to do design on my nails instead of just regular color. I asked how much more additional the design would be and she responded " it depends". After showing her a design I would like the nail technician proceeded to paint one of my nails as such and then mentioned it would be an additional $45 for the design. I let her know that I did not wish to move forward and to do the color I originally requested. Then the nail technician told me that she will keep one nail with the design and continue to work on the remaining with just color. At that point, my nails were not matching each other. I was very unhappy with the way my nails were looking, and because I let her know that I did not like my nails, the nail technician got very frustrated with me and started to tell me that I did not know what I wanted. I begged her to just paint all of my nails, one solid color. In the process of trying to explain myself over and over the nail technician got frustrated and forgot to dry and wipe my nails and nail polish got on my jeans and I asked her help to remove it, and she was continuing to scold me. Another nail technician had to get nail polish thinner to remove the nail polish off of my jeans. I later on called the store to speak with the manager Holly and let them know that I was very unhappy with my experience and that I would like a refund and for my nails to be removed. They confirmed that they would be able to arrange that and I went back to the nail lounge and removed my Nails partially, however have not received a refund and now my favorite jeans are damaged and so are my nailbeds. I have reported this business to the LA County health department and hope that they can rectify the damages that have been done to my nails on my behalf. read more

I came here for an acrylic fill with gel polish, and while the result looked okay initially, the price and quality did not match up. I got a nude acrylic fill with a cuticle clean-up, glitter on six nails, and purple gel on the other four. This place gets expensive quickly--$93 for a fill is much higher than I expected. I understand the space is huge and the rent is likely high, but they are definitely passing those costs onto the customer. The most frustrating part is that two of my nails are already smudged, and it has been less than 24 hours. For nearly $100, I expected a professional finish that actually lasts. I've been coming to this salon for over 2 years and usually love my experience, which is why this review is disappointing to write. My usual nail tech is out of town, so I decided to give someone else a chance. Jessica did a good job on the polish itself, but the overall experience was not good. I paid for a 10-minute massage that was never provided. Toward the end of the appointment, Jessica disappeared and I saw her helping another client instead. It honestly felt like she was rushing through my service to get to the next person. On top of that, she got my pants wet and pulled them down very roughly, which felt completely unnecessary and unprofessional. She also seemed to have an attitude the entire appointment and gave off dirty looks, which made the experience uncomfortable. What upset me even more was that I mentioned my bad experience to the girl manager and felt completely ignored. As a loyal customer of over 2 years, that was disappointing. Walked in for regular gel mani on Friday, 7/25. The lady who did my gel mani then was amazing. She took her time and was very precise, it felt like I was getting a Russian manicure. Problem is I didn't get her name as I was rushing to make an event. I walked in for the second time yesterday Thursday, 8/14 and had a horrible experience. The lady who was assigned to me was rough & rushed. I regret not asking her to end the service early. She started by removing the gel by using different drills to drill of the gel without soaking. When I asked her if she was going to soak my nails she replied, no, I'm not we don't soak off here. I explained my concern with her using the drill and how it would harm my nails and she got very defensive. My nails were on fire, they were burning me as she drilled all the previous gel of my nails. She then moved on to my cuticles and had cut me, I told her she was being rough and she replied you have a lot of skin. I'm usually not one to leave a review but I'm in pain today. 6 of my 10 fingers have cuts on them and my cuticle are so sensitive and flaky. I had to purchase over the counter ointment to help me with the pain. I'm sorry but I will not be back. read more
