Had another good experience here, the pizza was really good. I will say the Margherita pizza wasn't the best this time. The food is a little inconsistent here, because we ordered multiple pizzas and some of them seemed better quality like whoever made a couple of them was more experienced. On some of them the crust was better and they were cooked better than the others, with the right amount of toppings. Also the pasta is usually always good but we came back a third time for the lemon pasta and it just didn't taste like it normally does and we were disappointed, we didn't finish it because it was just off. So I'm not sure if get it again. They just need to work on being consistent with the recipes and making the food taste the same every time, because the first few times we came here it was perfect. But other than that, it's definitely the best pizza you can get in Memphis and the handmade pasta is amazing when they get it right!

Food was amazing, as usual. Our server was very attentive. We were here early on a week night and we had the place to ourself. Came in during happy hour and got the 1 topping for $15 and two Cesar salads. The pepperoni pizza was awesome. They use the perfect sauce/bread ratio. Chill and laid back, and we enjoy coming here.

Tamboli's is my favorite pizza place in Memphis! They have tons of options, and their pasta is wonderful as well. The service was fast and friendly. I also was there in time for happy hour and got two glasses of wine for the price of one.

I had this pizza delivered by my wonderful wife while stuck in The Med. Had I had it fresh, I am positive it would have been even better. The pizza was crafted ever so lovingly by a Tamboli's expert. They must have been touched by a pizza god! We had the double pepperoni junt, it was covered in copious amounts of pepperonis and cheese. The crust was soft, but also firm enough not to droop and fold. Even after the ride to the place and then up to my room. Impressive. I loved the parm coating it had, yum! It may have been the massive amounts of opioids I was consuming at that time, but I made food noises that I'm not sure I've ever made. It was so substantial I only had one piece. I was mad she took it home and I couldn't hoard it for later. Joy and misery is the way it rolls in the hospital I suppose. '24 - 10/100

After a basketball game, my friend and I decided to visit Tamboli's. When we arrived, we noticed there was not much good parking, so it took a little while to find a spot. When we walked into Tamboli's, our hostess greeted us and immediately seated us at our table. The dining area was so beautiful. There were a lot of different interesting paintings around the business. Our waitress quickly took our orders and was patient with us. I was impressed that she remembered our orders without a notepad and pen. It was nice looking at the paintings while waiting for our food. I ordered a custom pizza with Pepperoni and Salami. My friend also ordered a custom pizza but with Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, and Banana Peppers. We both agreed that Tamboli's has the best pizza in Memphis. The Pepperoni and Salami Pizza is simple, but so good. Their Pepperoni and Salami just work so well with each other. I can't forget about the crust. The crust helps with adding to the flavors of both the Pepperoni and Salami. In conclusion, everyone needs to try Tamboli's.

I've only been here twice so far, but I've really enjoyed my meal both times. They also have weekly specials (get on their email list!) and those are 20% off during their happy hour from 4:00-6:00. They also have a Thursday pizza deal which is their Formaggio pizza for only $10.93 all night! Great, deal! For the table, we ordered the weekly special of truffle frites, and that was 10/10. I don't love thick potatoes but the sauce made them to die for. I would get it again if they brought that back! I ordered the drink special..but, I cant remember what it was. It was very tasty...a little sweet, but not too much! Then I ordered the Formaggio pizza as my main meal and it was full of flavor and cheese! It's also a good size for sharing or if you want leftovers. To end we ordered the Tiramisu, which was recommended by the waitress and said it was a popular dessert. It was good and soft, but I don't think I'd go out of my way to get it again. They have too many fun rotating items that I'd probably try next.

If you want real wood-fired pizza, you must come here! It's located in Midtown in a quiet area with some other restaurants. The inside feels like a cozy but modern cafe. Each week, they offer different special menu items which are 20% during happy hour from 4:00-6:00. They even offer dairy-free and vegan options! Our food was served so quickly, I would say within less than 10 minutes. The server was enthusiastic and one of the kindest people I've witnessed in the service industry. I can't wait to come back and enjoy the patio in warmer weather!

We were looking for a new place to try before a show downtown and came across this on a Yelp search. We hadn't been to this location since it was Fuel, which we enjoyed, and weren't sure what to expect but the menu looked good. I'm glad we ended up going, as we really enjoyed ourselves and found the food to be really solid and of good quality, which isn't always the case for pasta places. Since that first visit, we've been back a few times, and the food has been just as good. The only inconsistency here is the service, and for us, continuing to run into payment issues. Food-wise, though, you can't go wrong. We've tried the meatballs, various pastas (my favorite was the lemon pepper one), a couple of the appetizers, and a pizza - everything was fantastic. Really, I can't imagine something being bad here. Try everything! As for the payment and service issue; it hasn't mattered whether we have tried to pay with one credit card, split credit cards, gift cards, or what not - there is always an issue that seems to prevent an easy checkout process. I'm not sure what it is, but it's irritating. As for the service, it's just a bit inconsistent, and at a place with a pretty good vibe and an excellent product, that's surprising. It shouldn't stop you from going but good to be aware of.

Food was excellent trying the signature lemon pepper pasta (different) but in a good way Service was excellent sat at the bar and staff super friendly The environment is par for the course a few interesting decorations, I would have liked to visit the dining area but it was a week day and they weren't offering the full menu The coffee was excellent also tried the pistachio gelato . Good spot to get your carb fix

I visited Memphis from out of town and was craving some pasta and stumbled upon this place. The service was good, the waitress was very friendly. The lemon pepper fettuccine (add shrimp) was divine, it even tasted delicious the next day for leftovers. The spicy vodka garganelli (add chicken) was also good, and had a little bit of a kick to it which I love. The caesar salad was just OK, the dressing was a little too thick for my personal liking, making it hard to get it evenly across all the lettuce. We got a bottle of Pinot Grigio for $31, which honestly isn't terrible for what restaurants usually charge you for a bottle. After taxes (before tip), a salad, two pasta dishes, and a bottle of wine the total came out to $95. I had a party of two on a Saturday night around 6 pm, I did not make reservations and we had no wait time. I would suggest making reservations with a larger party just to be safe. It was a nice, quiet, date night destination!

Tambolis is such a refreshing spot in Memphis! Fresh ingredients always, hot hot hot food always, and top tier service. The vibe is so cute inside and the bar is one of those where you can go alone and feel right at home.

Tamboli's hands down has the best pizza and pasta in Memphis. Vick did an excellent job serving my friends and I. Her personality was lovely and positive. She recommended great food items of us to try. We ended up ordering the Bavette Steak, Cheesy Garlic Sticks , Bruschetta, Dancing Pigs BBQ Chicken Pizza, and Lemon Pepper Fettuccine with Chicken. All of it was delicious. I love the fact that Tamboli's pasta and pizza is handmade. The atmosphere was pleasant, it wasn't too loud. You couldn't hear the next tables voices which I liked. The down fall was parking on the street. I wish they had a better parking system just to be safe leaving and coming to the restaurant.

I heard Tamboli's was solid and my friends did mot lie to me. The nightly appetizer offering was solid in terms of flavor, serving size, and plating. Their meatballs were a great choice. Again, the serving size was large enough for me to take some home, and they were clearly prepared well. The meat was tender and not over-worked. The blend of meats produced a great flavor. The sauce was flavorful, hefty, but fresh.

Portions were excellent for the price. My biggest issue with this place was the club-like atmosphere at 8pm on a Thursday night. It's a small space. The lights were dimmed so low. Seemed to be more to-go orders than anything. We came and were seated. The server told us it was her first day so she didn't have answers to any of the questions that were asked. I ordered the blackened catfish pasta and my friend ordered the blackened catfish meal. After waiting for quite some time, the server comes over and tells us that it takes about 45 minute to cook our food since everything is made to order. So if we were on lunch break, it would be better to call in the order. 1- it doesn't take 45 mins to scoop pre-made pasta or grill catfish. 2- You probably should have told us that information when we arrived, not an hour after we been sitting. Yes it took a full hour to get our food. With no one else in the restaurant. Should have been a clue. My food wasn't even piping hot when we got it. It was lukewarm as best. So the taste was just ok. Fish very salty. Pasta flavor was ok. My friend enjoyed her meal but was also disappointed in the wait and the warmness of the food. Presentation was good however. I asked for a to-go container and the check. The server said ok and then went to talk to another employee for an additional 20 min as we were waiting to finish up and leave. I had to go ask her again. And she said it's on the way. So in all, we spent about an hour and 40 minutes in this establishment during our lunch time. Not sure I have any interest to return.

THE FOOD & WINE At $65 for a 5-course Chef's Tasting Menu and $35 for the wine pairing, it is a good value. We started with a tasty carrot coriander amuse-bouche from Chef Nate, followed by: * Georges Banks Scallops: Served with tomato gelatin, cured kiwi, and crema. Paired well with a crisp New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. * Sweet Potato Tamale: Topped with spiced mayo, avocado crema, and charred cabbage. The spicy jalapeños and radishes added a bright kick that paired nicely with a blush-colored, floral Pinot Grigio. * Elysian Fields Lamb Cubano: A rich, complex dish featuring lamb shoulder and a fantastic touch of lamb heart (marinated for a week in adobo). Fresh arugula and pickles offset the richness, and the toasted focaccia was an amazing match. Paired with a medium-bodied Grenache that cut through the rich flavors. * Acadian Redfish: Charcoal-grilled with a creamy crawfish hollandaise and light-bodied potato crisps. This is the chef's elevated take on his mother's fish and chips, and it had a nice balance of oil and salt. * Dessert: Finished with a strawberry ice cream terrine and a decadent six-layer carrot cake that was moist, intense, and packed with pistachio crème. * We had a robust 2015 St. Emilion with a medium/heavy body, nice tannins, and age! THE SERVICE * The service was highly attentive, friendly, and earns a solid 4 stars. Sam, the sommelier, was knowledgeable and shared his insights on the pairings (he noted the 3rd and 4th courses were his personal favorites). Special thanks to Daisy for helping us with our first visit, walking us through the tasting courses, and recommending local places. * Because the restaurant ambitiously rotates its tasting menu every 2-3 weeks, it is harder for the staff to keep on top of the tasting menu details (compared to their regular menu items). OVERALL Overall, a fantastic 4-star experience. The culinary creativity and the beautiful dining room make it highly recommended!

Moody lighting, low rumble of noise and music you enjoy but don't notice. My kinda place. Rye was our server and she was excellent. Not only top-notch recommendations but also let us know about the tasting menu- I can't wait to come back to try the off-menu one they do the last Wednesday of every month. We got raw oysters to start and chose the seasonal preparation. It was almost like frozen lemonade crème fresh, but with the brine of the oysters it just worked. Would def order again! We started with a whiskey sour and AM old fashioned. Both great but mine was so good my husband ordered another round of them for us before we got a bottle of red. I don't recall what bottle it was but it worked perfectly as it wasn't too heavy and swung easily from apps/pasta/entrees. Then we opted into the blind tasting menu. 5 courses, chosen from the menu that you don't know what you're getting until it touches the table. My husband and I are pretty adventurous as far as food goes so it was perfect for us. No shit- Everything was amazing. I loved the tasting menu as it was not any dishes we were considering and I am so glad we got to try things we wouldn't have otherwise. For example, the little asparagus appetizer was the best thing we ate, on God. Like, what in the actual F ! The kind of magic they created with those little green veggies was out of this world --I didn't even want to swallow it was that delicious. There was some kind of fish crudo with beet and kumquat relish. Weird and so good! We also had some pasta with a lemon-y butter sauce and spinach and then a chicken entree. I was getting so full by the time entrees came I ate less than half of it but the skin was crispy, chicken was cooked to perfection and husband finished them both. Now yall, the dessert was a heavenly little pot of rich chocolate with a caramel base and crunchy honeycomb crisp on top. I was so full I couldn't finish it but my husband finished his and then mine. We also ordered a little affogato and it was perfect to finish the meal. I will absolutely be back and look forward to trying their other restaurants in the near future!!!

It holds many menu options but lacks any details on what this title comes with in the meal. That isn't completely rare, but if you don't have an elaborate menu, you must have extremely knowledgable employees to explain the options. The prices are pretty expensive for a takeout spot, so I asked the lady what comes in the veggie pasta. She said she didn't know. After staring at me for a while I asked if she could find out. She came back and stated everything that comes in the meat option but with no meat. Which tells me absolutely nothing. So since I was there with another person who ordered a $38 shrimp and chicken pasta, I followed and got shrimp only since I don't eat chicken. I waited outside and looked at my receipt that wasn't itemized in confusion over the price when I know I ordered items on the specials menu . I walked back in and spoke to host she looked confused as well and the owner confirmed that I have to say special while ordering to receive the special price. He continued by saying he wouldn't value a refund and reorder under the special and even doubled down by saying I need to pay better attention to my surroundings. Which is a hilarious response as a business owner. The price of my two meals was the cost of three specials of the exact same thing. It wasn't worth the argument. Especially since I was there for over 20 mins and was the only customer and people there other than the two armed security guards. On the bright side, the food was pretty good. Flavorful and made to order, but even with decent or even great food i can't compromise morals and give my money to a place that lacks integrity. I won't be back but anyone who runs a business in that manner needs a few lessons on character, values and service recovery. Thank you
