The Cordova Villa Castriotti has excellent food and excellent service. We had eggplant Parmesan, chicken piccata, and appetizers. All were delicious. My favorites were the fried artichokes and the spinach casserole side. The spinach salad was ok, interesting dressing. The fried calamari was good; the accompanying dips were ok. Of note, there is a $5 cost to split entrees, bread is $3, and some sides cost extra. I would recommend this restaurant for quality of food and service. read more

My family moved out of Memphis in 2019 and just moved back. This was our favorite place to eat since the day they opened until we moved. We came and ate here our first weekend back and I was shocked that the taste of some of the dishes had changed, they offered way less portions for double the price from 7 yrs ago and we had to pay for our bread...we literally got charged for the bread. Definitely disappointed Update: when employees or kids of employees respond by telling us not to eat their since "bread cost money" lol little brat everything cost money - the bread cost money before the owners started pissing money away on one bad investment after another. read more

This place has been around a long time but this was my first time eating her. We decided to try it for lunch. It was a late lunch and not too busy. Service was outstanding. Had a decent vibe and a nice bar area too, although not many at the bar at lunch. The food was very good. I had chicken Marsala and loved it. As my side that came with it I chose spaghetti and meat sauce. This was a huge side and I brought half of it home for later... and it was great The other meal we got was the lasagna , also very very good and a big portion ( not sure if the lunch portion is the same as dinner or smaller but also took half of that home for later. I'd def come back, especially because it's very close by... I wouldn't necessarily drive a long way to eat here , but only because there are several good Italian options. But you're in the area, this is a good choice. They also look like they make a lot of pizza, and I'll try that at some point read more

i have eaten in castriotti's ever since they closed their pizza place in the shopping center on winchester many years ago and opened up the restaurant in cordova. i ate there on 5/15/2026, and will not be back. the service was mediocre. several dishes were sent back for not being served hot. several dishes were sent back based on taste. management made no effort to appease our group of 7. adios. read more

We went on Valentine's Day and had the best experience! We had a reservation for 7:15 and grabbed a seat at the bar while we waited for our table. We got an Old Fashioned and French 75 and they were outstanding and reasonably priced. For dinner we got steak that was perfectly cooked and seasoned, mushroom risotto, and creamed spinach that complimented the steak perfectly. The ambiance was lively and energetic, but not too loud to take away from the romantic and cozy atmosphere. This is the type of place where it feels like everyone knows each other, guests and staff. We ordered the 16 oz ribeye medium rare and it was delivered to us cooked more medium, however it was absolutely delicious, perfectly charred and seasoned. We also ordered the lasagna which was a great portion size and very cheesy! It tasted great. We had a party of 22 but only 1 server, which made the drink service take quite a long time to get your next drink once you ordered it. Gratuity was included. Ambience was lacking as it was very hot in the area we were seated in. Many people in our party mentioned how hot it was. Also, the table we were sat at had heavy table cloths and short chairs so sitting felt very uncomfortable because the table was higher than I would like when sitting so low down. I did enjoy this location more than Lakeland because Lakeland is too busy and loud. We had a great time! read more

Truly a 5-star restaurant, so why the 4-star rating? A group of 7 of us visited for an amazing meal. Service was amazing, even though they were short that night. Food was prepared well, and came out hot and tasty. We asked for one of the entrees to be split for 2, and they happily did so. The split plates were exactly what we were looking for (see the pic). The 4-star rating is because they basically took 2 tables and pushed them together to form a rectangle against a wall. So, 2 of our group were pushed against the wall, 2 had the table split exactly between them and 1 was on the end. They also did the same thing to another group right next to us. So, the 2 guests on the end from each party were back-to-back. That kept the server from delivering plates and drinks to everyone at the table. We had to pass things back and forth to the server. We know things are tough with short-staffing, but the restaurant made the situation worse by cramming extra seats onto tables and spaces that could not reasonably support the extra people. So, will we come back? Definitely yes, but will likely not do so again with a party larger than 4. The food was truly amazing! read more

Great place for dessert and coffee. I ordered the tiramisu and my aunt ordered Crème Brûlée. Both were fantastic and delicious desserts. We had a good cup of fresh coffee that paired well with our desserts. As we looked for dessert options, we noticed so many authentic Italian dishes and commented we must return for dinner. An added bonus was live music. We sat in the bar since we came in after dinner time. We enjoyed the relaxing music and vocalist. He was quite nice and mentioned the crowd was normally larger. Wow! What an amazing experience! We were celebrating my July Daughters Birthday and made a reservation in advance to make sure we had a table. I wasn't sure how busy they would be. I am sure glad I did, they were full and busting at the seams with people waiting. We were sat about 5-6 minutes after we arrived. Nice. Sat down and were immediately greeted by our server. He was great, a little curt, but efficient as hell. I mean, this dude was almost militaristic with his service. He was great though. Awesome even! Food was divine start to finish. We had so many different things and all of it was fucking amazing. Appetizers were on point! Special shout out to the Calamari special! Cheese sticks are like logs, beware, three are like six somewhere else. Mozzarella bread is light and airy with gooey cheese all over it. The marinara sauce is out of this world!! Meals were delivered fast, hot, and all at the same time for a party of 9 while they were slammed!! Bravo!! Just check the pics man. Too many to go over, all were great! I loved mine, Charity loved hers, the kids and boyfriends all loved theirs! Kylie (Birthday Girl) loved hers too! SCORE! We didn't shy away from dessert either! We had two strawberry shortcake (homemade), tiramisu (homemade), and the cheesecake as well. They were all delightful, but the shortcake was killer! I cannot wait to go back! This was a very elegant dining experience that was unexpected in a suburban strip mall. The ambience was nice and the decor was very fancy and the service was on point. The food was as impressive as what you may expect from any five-star establishment. I ordered the chicken piccata with fettuccini Alfredo with their signature VC ale to drink. The piccata sauce was perfectly balanced and the chicken was moist and delicious. The fettuccine portion was rather large and the sauce was thick and tasty. My husband ordered the spaghetti and found it to be very satisfying. As an added bonus, in addition to feeling welcome by our server and the host, the couple at the table next to us were very pleasant to chat with as well after we finished our meal. 8-9-25 We were here for lunch but we were caught confused about the hours of operating time. There was on there website and sign saying 5 pm. My wife saw somewhere that they opened at 11 am today. The parking lot was empty as well. Then there was a welcome advertisement sign setup in front the entrance. Finally, we saw a worker in uniform walk in the front door as we were leaving. My daughter got out of the suv and opened the door to asked the worker that walked in if they were open. She said, yes. We walked in and ordered lunch. My order was not ready that good (fettuccine, and Italian sausage). The Italian sausage was pieces meat meant for making pizzas but everyone else orders were fine. We were the only people there from start to finish. I think management needs to take notice of the opening hours because they don't have any business. read more

The crème brule was good and so was my espresso martini, my only issue is that instead of being charged for 8 dollars per crème brule as stated on the menu, I was charged 11 per. Definitely caught me by surprise. read more

this place is so awful, i made a yelp account just for this. the food came out FREEZING cold on basically all of the entrees ordered. i was the first to send it back and told them POLITELY that the food was cold and i didn't want it. the waitress took it back. then the manager, Krystal, came out and started talking aggressively towards me asking why i didn't want it and if i wanted anything else. again i POLITELY answered no, i didn't want anything else. as others in my party started to return their meals for being cold and/or gross, Krystal came out and started to TELL us we are lying. she stated that she put her finger in my meal and it was "warm". she then proceeded to argue, point at me, and tell me i was rude and returned my meal because i "didn't like it". the argument continued for 5 plus minutes. she also said "we make plenty of money and don't need your money". it got so bad, that a person in my party started to record, so this is all of video:) long story short, the manager Krystal was extremely unprofessional, childish, and rude. i asked our waitress for the name of the manager when we paid the bill, and as i was walking out, Krystal came up to me and asked if i was asking for her name. i replied "i got it, thanks". she then gave me her name and STARTED SPELLING IT OUT in a way she was talking down to me, like i was stupid. i'm happy to have a conversation to whoever owns and operates this establishment, and share the lovely video of the manager yelling at us for simply returning food that was messed up and not enjoyable. read more

Service was great , always a full water glass and never an empty basket of warm bread . Appetizers came out quickly, I definitely recommend the smoked salmon appetizer . Salads were fresh, ranch and Italian dressing were definitely home made . Food was hot and everyone enjoyed their meals . Dessert was great too!
