Pancakes-Yummy
Michael M.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A great Deli, with fresh made food, small but they seem to move customers through on a timely basis, small out front patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything from the Matzo Ball Soup, to waffles, pancakes were excellent. CS was good, staff was running around trying to stay on top of all customers. Coffee was okay, I would return on my next visit to Brooklyn.

Mont-Royal
Daniel G.

I had the Mont Royal (lox over potato pancakes with sour cream) and enjoyed it but nothing mind blowing. My wife's whitefish salad bagel was not very good at all though. The poutine is legit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice location and friendly staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Good if you're in the area but don't go out of your way for it.

Classic Poutine

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Small place located near the subway.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had a small wait with reservations during prime time lunch over a weekend Our service was friendly and good. I got a cold brew with oat milk and simple syrup. The poutine was really good. The white fish salad sandwich was just ok, I got it without cream cheese. I ended up bringing it home and adding mayo to it.

It's a simple place, serving window at late night. Canadian dishes and Jewish treats combined from the grandmother's history. Eli Reuben was fantastic - greasy smoked meat, corned beef, slaw, and a delicious (albeit small) pickle. Heavy but delicious. Potato salad, coleslaw, and cucumber salad was all good. Will have to try the poutine next time!

Have you ever visited a restaurant and loved the food, ambience and service that you just can't wait to go back? In the same week? Well.. that's what happened with me and Mile End. I came here for a Yelp event earlier in the week and decided that my mom, who saw the photos of the Yelp event and wanted a piece of the action! As luck would have it, we were in the neighborhood and voila! We were welcomed by Allie and Manager Angie, who remembered me from the Yelp event. The menu has so many delicious options from schnitzel, to Zaa' tar chicken, Reuben sandwich latkes ... a Jewish feast! I knew exactly what I wanted; the pickled brine fried chicken with a side of their delicious fries. My mom chose the hamburger with fries. The chicken wasn't on the menu but the kitchen made it for me! The chicken's portion came with four pieces and the fries were plentiful and delicious. I was in Jewish paradise! The chicken once again, perfectly cooked, tender and the coating was scrumptious. I ordered the Canadian beer, Labat. My mom's burger was also delicious and she loved the fries. I asked to try the Jewish BBQ sauce and Allie brought it out; good taste but needs to be thicker. I asked Angie to show me the Shabbat Dinner Menu ( see pic). I'm impressed with the options: choice of schnitzel, brisket, Zatar chicken or salmon served with noodle kugel, matzoh ball soup and babka for $45. We also ordered Matzoh ball soup, knish and latkes to go. I forgot to ask them to divide the soup into two containers so mom lucked out with that and the knish and I took home the latkes We also received chocolate babka on the house. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My mom complimented the vibe " We're guests in a nice Jewish home"[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Well now we have two Jew-cy Judas who love Mile End!

Smoked Meat Reuben

As a Montrealer, Mile End Deli truly delivered -- authentic, flavorful, and unmistakably true to form. The smoked meat was sliced a bit thicker than I prefer, but the taste was incredible -- honestly better than most places in Montreal in my opinion. Every bite was rich, savory, and satisfying. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This hidden gem sits in a charming, walkable vintage shopping district, making it a perfect spot to combine food and exploration.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It does get busy, but the patio is fantastic on sunny days.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would I recommend it? 100,000% yes. If you love smoked meat, it's absolutely worth going out of your way to experience Mile End Deli -- a true Brooklyn treasure.

Knish

knish 4/5 corned beef reuben 4.5/5 latke, egg, and cheese 4.5/5 [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice casual place for Jewish deli classics.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I thought the service was great - attentive and polite details on the food: Loved that the knish came with some sauce. would be a bit plain without. the crust of the knish was excellent. Flaky and crispy with soft potato inside. reuben's are probably one of my favorites and this one was quite good. they toasted the bread well and had good proportions of corned beef to sauerkraut. The latke, egg, and cheese was a great breakfast item. A little light on the flavor, but overall good

I'm a big foodie for brisket, pastrami, and corned beef -- give me all of it! My go-to is the Reuben, and they've got a double-meat version called the "Eli Reuben" that's an absolute must if you go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is cozy and classic diner-style.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their breakfast menu looks top-tier, too. Service can be a bit on the slower side, but with this Montreal-style smoked meat deli, it's absolutely worth the stop.

Dry and flavorless spicy schnitzel sandwich

So I saw their limited "Olympic poutines" on instagram and really wanted to try one of them out. I went on Uber Eats but there was no option for it so called to place the delivery instead. I was told I had to order online. When I told him there is no option for the Olympic poutines, he said to order a different one and put in the notes the one I wanted. So I did what he said and ended up getting the wrong one...the Olympic poutine was the main reason I placed the order so I was super disappointed. I wouldn't have minded if the food was good but the spicy schnitzel sandwich I got was so disappointing. The Schnitzel was nice and crispy, but had ZERO flavor. I felt like I was eating a tomato, lettuce sandwich on a hard dry brioche..it needed more sauce or something to add flavor and moisture to it. Even the pickle couldn't salvage it, it wasn't a vinegar brine pickle that I was expecting but more like a plain salted cucumber. It seems like everything just needed more salt and flavors.

Delicious! I chose to have the meal delivered. It was quick and the sandwich was still warm! Generous portion of smoked meat, very tender. Had some fries and delicious pickle too!

Chicken Schnitzel BLT Montreal Meat sandwich Poutines with cream curd
Elle R.

Chicken schnitzel fried in oil that needed to be changed. Dark brown breading and bad oil taste. Smoked meat sandwich on rye with slot of fat and bread broke apart. Waitress said to order poutine with coleslaw and pickle for us to share because to big as a single. She was wrong as they were the best thing out if all three

Alisa J.

Got the smoked meat poutine. It was really good. The pepper flavor was really delicious and appealing. The meat was tender and flavorful. And I thought everything was super well balanced with the ratios. Probably the best poutine I've ever had

Pu pu platter
Jacqui R.

Got the pu pu platter for takeout and it really hit the spot (pierogis not pictured but excellent). The dogs in blankets are possibly the best I've ever had. It was worth the $30. Will def be back again!!

It was recommended by someone but definitely didn't worth coming. Mediocre food, overly fried eggs and sandwiches.

I ordered a chopped honey turkey with onions, pickles, lettuce and mayo. The guy who made my sandwich was soo friendly and patient. I just put my trust in him to hook it up lol. He also asked if I wanted to add the chips and I did. Overall my sandwhich was better the next day after it firmed up. The flavor was good but the texture was soft, mushy and just not what I want in a turkey sandwhich. It ran me about 12.00 and it was worth the experience.

I went with two friends so were able to try three different sandwiches and to be honest, they were all just alright. The food: Roast Pork Special- Fried Eggplant, Provolone, Broccoli Rob- The texture of the pork came off a bit dry, the eggplant was good but kinda gets lost in the sandwich so if I literally had it on it's own I would have appreciated it more but who eats fried eggplant by itself? The rob was nice it added a nice crunch but didn't offer that much flavor. Giuseppe Special- Eggplant parm, meatballs, melted mozzarella. I couldn't get over how soggy the bread was. It was like wet paper towel to me. Soggy bread and everything kinda tasting the same made it underwhelming. Nicky Special- It just tasted like salad in between bread. There was so much veg, that was the main thing I remember in that sandwich.
