I had the Mont Royal (lox over potato pancakes with sour cream) and enjoyed it but nothing mind blowing. My wife's whitefish salad bagel was not very good at all though. The poutine is legit. Nice location and friendly staff. Good if you're in the area but don't go out of your way for it.

Small place located near the subway. We had a small wait with reservations during prime time lunch over a weekend Our service was friendly and good. I got a cold brew with oat milk and simple syrup. The poutine was really good. The white fish salad sandwich was just ok, I got it without cream cheese. I ended up bringing it home and adding mayo to it.

Chuck full of smoked meat and cheese curds. Gravy comes separate so the routine doesn't get soggy.

We had take out and the food was packaged with care. The food was as delicious as always. They were about to close and the staff didnt rush me. Great service with attention to detail.

It's a simple place, serving window at late night. Canadian dishes and Jewish treats combined from the grandmother's history. Eli Reuben was fantastic - greasy smoked meat, corned beef, slaw, and a delicious (albeit small) pickle. Heavy but delicious. Potato salad, coleslaw, and cucumber salad was all good. Will have to try the poutine next time!

Have you ever visited a restaurant and loved the food, ambience and service that you just can't wait to go back? In the same week? Well.. that's what happened with me and Mile End. I came here for a Yelp event earlier in the week and decided that my mom, who saw the photos of the Yelp event and wanted a piece of the action! As luck would have it, we were in the neighborhood and voila! We were welcomed by Allie and Manager Angie, who remembered me from the Yelp event. The menu has so many delicious options from schnitzel, to Zaa' tar chicken, Reuben sandwich latkes ... a Jewish feast! I knew exactly what I wanted; the pickled brine fried chicken with a side of their delicious fries. My mom chose the hamburger with fries. The chicken wasn't on the menu but the kitchen made it for me! The chicken's portion came with four pieces and the fries were plentiful and delicious. I was in Jewish paradise! The chicken once again, perfectly cooked, tender and the coating was scrumptious. I ordered the Canadian beer, Labat. My mom's burger was also delicious and she loved the fries. I asked to try the Jewish BBQ sauce and Allie brought it out; good taste but needs to be thicker. I asked Angie to show me the Shabbat Dinner Menu ( see pic). I'm impressed with the options: choice of schnitzel, brisket, Zatar chicken or salmon served with noodle kugel, matzoh ball soup and babka for $45. We also ordered Matzoh ball soup, knish and latkes to go. I forgot to ask them to divide the soup into two containers so mom lucked out with that and the knish and I took home the latkes We also received chocolate babka on the house. My mom complimented the vibe " We're guests in a nice Jewish home". Well now we have two Jew-cy Judas who love Mile End!

knish 4/5 corned beef reuben 4.5/5 latke, egg, and cheese 4.5/5 Nice casual place for Jewish deli classics. I thought the service was great - attentive and polite details on the food: Loved that the knish came with some sauce. would be a bit plain without. the crust of the knish was excellent. Flaky and crispy with soft potato inside. reuben's are probably one of my favorites and this one was quite good. they toasted the bread well and had good proportions of corned beef to sauerkraut. The latke, egg, and cheese was a great breakfast item. A little light on the flavor, but overall good

So I saw their limited "Olympic poutines" on instagram and really wanted to try one of them out. I went on Uber Eats but there was no option for it so called to place the delivery instead. I was told I had to order online. When I told him there is no option for the Olympic poutines, he said to order a different one and put in the notes the one I wanted. So I did what he said and ended up getting the wrong one...the Olympic poutine was the main reason I placed the order so I was super disappointed. I wouldn't have minded if the food was good but the spicy schnitzel sandwich I got was so disappointing. The Schnitzel was nice and crispy, but had ZERO flavor. I felt like I was eating a tomato, lettuce sandwich on a hard dry brioche..it needed more sauce or something to add flavor and moisture to it. Even the pickle couldn't salvage it, it wasn't a vinegar brine pickle that I was expecting but more like a plain salted cucumber. It seems like everything just needed more salt and flavors.

I'm a big foodie for brisket, pastrami, and corned beef -- give me all of it! My go-to is the Reuben, and they've got a double-meat version called the "Eli Reuben" that's an absolute must if you go. The ambience is cozy and classic diner-style. Their breakfast menu looks top-tier, too. Service can be a bit on the slower side, but with this Montreal-style smoked meat deli, it's absolutely worth the stop.

Delicious! I chose to have the meal delivered. It was quick and the sandwich was still warm! Generous portion of smoked meat, very tender. Had some fries and delicious pickle too!

Chicken schnitzel fried in oil that needed to be changed. Dark brown breading and bad oil taste. Smoked meat sandwich on rye with slot of fat and bread broke apart. Waitress said to order poutine with coleslaw and pickle for us to share because to big as a single. She was wrong as they were the best thing out if all three

    Alisa J.

Got the smoked meat poutine. It was really good. The pepper flavor was really delicious and appealing. The meat was tender and flavorful. And I thought everything was super well balanced with the ratios. Probably the best poutine I've ever had

    Pu pu platter

Got the pu pu platter for takeout and it really hit the spot (pierogis not pictured but excellent). The dogs in blankets are possibly the best I've ever had. It was worth the $30. Will def be back again!!

A nice discovery. A corned beef reuben that was as good as I've ever had and some well-made pickles. Very friendly and capable service and an interesting menu I will want to work my way through. All the Jewish deli standards, Canadian favorites, good Canadian beer and a selection of very interesting and creative sandwiches. A nice addition to the neighborhood and the City.

There's a couple of tables in a small store. Above the register there's a menu board resembling a train departures board, cycling through the options (it looks neat, but the printed out menu on your right is a lot more practical). There's a cooler with drinks and salads as you enter on the right. The sandwiches, however, are something special. On my first visit I went with something familiar, the Mean Streets (their Italian sandwich). The bread itself is fantastic (locally baked), and the toppings delicious as well (if I recall correctly the dressings are house made). Pleasantly, they also give you a paper plate with your order, which is a nice touch compared to eating off a wrapper. I enjoyed the first sandwich so much I came back the next day to try the No Sleep Til Gravesend. The sandwich is essentially a hot roast beef sandwich, with a jus on the sandwich reminiscent of a French Dip. Perfect on a cold, rainy day. Overall, 1 of 1 has great (and mostly house made) ingredients and great execution. There's a level of creativity on the menu that you rarely see elsewhere in the city. 1 of 1 is among the best sandwich shops in the city, and a very welcome addition to the area.

When the hype got large enough, the owner decided to start a pizzeria and the rest is not history. This is one of the more worthwhile TGTG orders to me. Expensive though, about $55 dollars for a vegan 18-inch Margherita pie with 3 toppings. Was it worth it for the experience? Yes. Would I recommend to someone who wanted to try it at least once for a good dairy-free pizza? Absolutely, I couldn't even tell this was vegan cheese. Would I get it again? Maybe (?) once in a while as a treat with price being the only barrier. Service 5/5: This was great. I came here the other day to inquire about their vegan pizza and just wanted to try a slice. The person found his manager to talk to me about this. They were super friendly and explained to me the situation. This location only sold vegan options in full pies and their other DOP Fast Life location does sell vegan slices, but they didn't try to push me to buy. I came back today and the staff today were also very welcoming. Ambiance 5/5: Rustic red brick interior with warm lighting. It was definitely bustling on a Friday night. Food 5/5: Delicious pizza. I do regret that I ate it cold after driving 30 minutes to pick it up so I did not get the full experience. But the crust was still crunchy. I do wish the toppings were a little heavier but the tomato chunks in the sauce tasted very fresh. A very classic New York style pizza and I couldn't even tell it wasn't real cheese. Vegan garlic knots were great too.
