Went here a while ago just happening to pass by while walking on Court. They have friendly staff and the prices are alright. Got the Sanclassico (Soppressata, mortadella, fresh mozzarella, roasted pepper, fresh basil, E.V. olive oil, & balsamic) with tomatoes instead of the roasted pepper. Good sandwich though the focaccia had a weird texture. Unfortunately, the bread kind of made the rest of the sandwich a bit dry even with the olive oil. I went back and got the Prosciutto Di Parma on ciabatta instead. The ciabatta was better and the ingredients were indeed fresh but the sandwich was definitely a whole lot smaller than at Paisanos, G Esposito's, or Dellapietras. At those spots, you would likely get two meals out of one sandwich. MozzLab has similar portions (slightly bigger there) but their homemade ingredients and especially the bread knock this place out of the park. It's hard to argue to go to a mini chain when there are just clearly better choices even if the ingredients are solid here. Their focaccia which is their specialty isn't great either. They have really good coldcuts here and toppings. One thing: I despise mayo, it makes me sick to even look at it. The herb dressing is mostly mayo and pesto. I could not eat the sandwich I had spent extra $ on, they offered to remake it but I declined and ate the other sandwich my coworker ordered without the dressing (not at all what I wanted but this was my lesson to learn) Semolina bread is too hard but the italian is better. haven't tried the others yet but they do look good. I know Sanpanino from West Village and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw them in Brooklyn. They are tucked in the street and not very visible but if you go there the guys are great. Was very excited to see Sanpanino open just down the block from me. I have been craving a fresher sandwich than what the deli could make. I made my own: roast beef, mozzarella, tomato, basil on semolina - one of my favorite breads. Most of the ingredients tasted fresh but the bread was most definitely not, which kind of ruined the sandwich as it was pretty tough the rip and chew. I still think there is potential here and would try something else but was disappointed that a shop focused on fresh ingredients was using stale bread. read more

The spot itself is tiny, bright, and clean, just how I like my restaurants. My few complaints are not food or service related, I'm just picky. Like I saw that there's a check-in offer for a free coffee if you check in on Yelp. Great I did it, but the guy at the register had no idea what I was talking about and it was kind of awkward having to explain it over and over so I just paid for the coffee and moved on. Another time I went to pay with my phone (I'm all about Samsung Pay these days) and again they had no idea how to process this type of payment. I've paid with my phone here multiple times before but I guess not everyone is trained so I had to pull out my wallet and search for the credit card.
