This was my first time at Milestone. I happened to stroll by while at the mall and decided to give it a try. We were seated right away around 5 PM, which was nice. I started with a cocktail, and it was fantastic! While I'm not usually a fan of pork, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and order their pork chop. I was pleasantly surprised--it was seasoned so well that the strong pork taste was masked, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The only downside was the slower service, especially since the restaurant wasn't very busy when we arrived. However, as we were leaving, we noticed a line of people waiting to be seated, so I'd recommend making a reservation on weekends. Overall, I'd definitely come back! read more

Arrived at 7:50 p.m. and the restaurant was nearly empty, yet we were initially directed to a table right by the kitchen door. The overall welcome was lacking, and there was little effort made to make us feel like valued guests. Several aspects of the dining room gave the impression that maintenance and cleanliness need more attention. The salt and pepper grinders were dirty, the bench seating was noticeably worn and peeling, and a bottle of cleaning solution was left next to a dining table. The bench cushion at our table was sticky and had to be cleaned after we pointed it out. Service was disappointing. Drinks were simply placed at the far end of the table, several feet away from the person who ordered them, without napkins or any acknowledgment from the server. Throughout the meal, the wait staff was adequate but did nothing that stood out as attentive or welcoming. As for the food, it was acceptable but not memorable. The Korean-style chicken wings were the highlight of the meal, with good flavor and sauce. The chicken bites were also good, although spicier than expected. The bruschetta was enjoyable, and the lettuce wraps had only a mild level of spice. However, none of the dishes were exceptional or compelling enough to make us eager to return. Overall, the restaurant has potential, but improvements in cleanliness, atmosphere, and customer service are needed. I went to Milestones in Guilford for lunch today. We go to milestones occasionally but not as much as we used to. Food is not bad but not great. The service was quick and pleasan. I ordered the double Smashburger and it was terrible. The beef patties were overcooked, grey, tough, and chewy. Definitively a frozen preformed smashburger style patty. Too many toppings and nothing like what a good Smashburger should be. $27 for a burger and a small serving of tasty frozen shoestring fries. $31 with a Coke. what a rip off. I've had some great Smashburgers lately at other restaurants. At Monzo Burger in Vancouver I can get an amazing burger with much better piping hot fries served to me for $18. Smashed Black n' Blue Burger - 9/10 - two smashed wagyu patties, caramelized onions, roasted mushrooms, peppercorn sauce, scallion aoli, and blue cheese - this burger was incredible. It had a fantastic mix of char from the burger, an alium note from the aoli and onions, and the strong flavor of blue cheese! Coconut Calamari - 7/10 - tasty and very thick cuts of Squid. I was a little bit disappointed that they didn't have an extensive menu, but I was visiting a friend for a few days and came here with her family, but they recommended the portobello mushroom and chicken w/ the pesto spaghettini. I must say that I was a little disappointed to see how light the pesto was, but it was surprisingly delicious. I loved how saucy the mushroom sauce was and how soft the chicken was. It all melded well, and having the addition of the spaghettini added a good lightness. The only thing I didn't really love was how terribly cooked the green beans were. They were crunchy and chewy--weird, I know. Also plenty of parking and an elevator for all the old folks next to the restaurant! Great place to start your date night. . Place was half full but staff did very well in attending to our needs. At least until we were severed our meals. They were pretty scarce therefore. But with staff shortages it is somewhat understandable. We enjoyed the Fisherman Salad, coconut Prawns and Sweet Chilli Chicken. All delicious. Staff was very friendly, overall a great evening! I like this place. Get the table by the window at the bar area. It is nice to look out and talk with your friends. We came here using BCAA promotion where you get 2 entrees, 1 appetizer and 1 dessert to share for $50 (for 2 persons). It is similar to the Wednesday Date Night promo except there are more choices for the BCAA menu. We shared the calamari, had the same entree (glazed ginger salmon on fried rice) and chocolate tart. They were really good. I was not too hungry and ate half the entree, with the remainder packed. The bellini was refreshing too. Perfect if the weather was hot. They took down our name and later texted us for available table. Tech savvy people. Food: my all time favourite is mushroom cream soup ( thick n creamy). Its not light as other soups so it u r on diet then get this with either a salad or a piece of rye bread. There bruschetta flatbread is a must. Very well done n oil free yam fries is a good substitute for french fries. On a full on starving nights , i have gone for prime rib sandwich n it is speactularly yummy( my vocabulary.lol) I am not sure if i have admitted this before but i am hard core rice lover. Anywhere i eat , my try to list includes rice item. U can get couple options here like thai red curry bowl (on days/nights wen u wanna eat thai food in canadian ambience), crispy sweet chili chicken bowl. OMG. I tried making it at home too. To be honest, i m not a big fan of steak and so i didnt try it here but they have it in menu. All alcoholic n non alcoholic drinks available Its very clean and lively place. Most nights its all full. My first time at milestones and I'm pretty impressed. The standards they put in to place during the covid pandemic is great. It starts with seating blocked off so you won't sit close to another table. They make you take your glass and cutlery off the servers tray so they aren't the ones touching it. And I constantly saw staff wiping things down. The food was good too! The caprese chicken sandwich was exactly as I'd imagined it. Almost like a chicken Parmesan sandwich but way tastier! Review update: Came back here to get Ceasers and Spinach Artichoke dip as well as the goat cheese and beet salad. I'm leaving my experience at 2.5/ 3 Stars. Room for Improvement. Nice atmosphere, comfortable booths, music was not too loud. Have always been seated right away. In the past I ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli which I've had before at another milestones. It was a bit off, maybe a bit too mushy/ overcooked and the sauce was much thicker and creamier than I've had it before. It also came with only 2 very small tomatoes. I'm still hesitant to order this at this location. Last time here our server was not that friendly or very attentive, she only came around to ask if we wanted more drinks. We waited for her to come by again with the bill, tired of waiting we went up to the bar to pay, however that took another 10 minutes to wait for her to show up. This time around, nice friendly server, however it appeared to be understaffed, our server had difficulty keeping up. Ended up going up to the bar to pay again. read more

Went to milestones for a little catch up with a girlfriend. We haven't been here for a long time so we wanted to try it again to see what's new. I regret that decision because the food wasn't as good as how it used to be. The chicken wings we ordered (which was $19 for 8 wings) ended up having lots of fat and it just .... Seemed like it was under cooked. The waitress was nice enough to take it away and got us something else. We had their chicken bites and that was good. We had the spinach dip and chips instead and that was okay.... It used to be better. It was my birthday so they gave us complimentary dessert and we chose key lime pie. It was okay. Not the best, but now the worst. Overall, I don't think I'd want to come here again for appys/happy hour read more

This is our usual Friday Happy Hour place. I particularly love their bellinis, margaritas and their Coconut Calamari. My hubby loves their 1989 Burger. Their service is always hospitable and great, their food is good, ambience always instagrammable especially if you are by the lounge and their prices are reasonable. Overall no real complaints with milestones. A warning though for others, my wife loves the white chocolate cheesecake so we asked if they sold a whole one. We have picked them up previously from the keg, earls etc. Well they do sell them, but basically charge per slice, so the total was over $120 dollars. We decided to go for happy hour a couple of weeks ago. We we so lucky to have Nicole as our server!!! The food and drink was delicious and the service fantastic! We enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to come back for valentine's day. Could not get in on the 14th. No surprise but we will go on the 15th. We are looking forward to it and have requested to be seated in Nicole's section. Now back in our top 5 favorites. We were looking for that "Casual with an excellent menu" place... and found it! Sat in the round windowed bar against the glass and had fabulous service with a fantastic meal. My wife's grilled Ginger Glazed Salmon was perfectly cooked, plated, and served hot (pictured). I had a hunger-jones for some "Tennessee Rattlesnake Pasta". It wasn't on the menu (no surprise there), but our excellent waiter suggested they add some "Cajun Cream" to their Pesto Chicken Penne Asiago and BOOM! It was so perfect that I had downed half the meal before I realized I'd forgotten to take a photo! We'll be back soon! read more

I stopped by here for a late night dinner and this was by far the best visit at this location. My date loves this chain so I always end up here once in awhile. Happy hour specials made the night that much better. I noticed the cocktail picks were back in stock since my last visit. Service was great. Food and drinks arrived fairly quickly. My Brie and mushroom melt burger was good as expected and it is my favourite burger item off the menu. Fries were pipping hot. My date ordered the pesto chicken penne Asiago. When our food arrived, my date asked our server if it was the correct entree as he could not taste the pesto. It turned out it was indeed the correct dish. Our server was able to get a side of pesto cream sauce made. My date was very pleased and I was impressed with the service. I like that it's conveniently located at the mall. Good for parking and walking off the calories from shopping. On this day, we went for brunch. Made a reservation since it's a holiday and might not get immediate seating. Glad we did 'cause it looked packed. Our hostess was very welcoming and seated us at a nice booth. Too bad none of my guest drinks 'cause there's a giant bellini for $16 this month and I didn't want to drink so much early in the day. Got myself a Miami ice instead (4/5-$4): You do get a whole sprig of mint with it but I can barely taste any mint. They're also very generous with the syrup. So it was a tad bit too sweet for me. But very good tasting. I added a bit of water to dilute it to my liking. Now onto the food: -Prime Rib Eggs Benny (5/5-$15.75): The prime rib was really good and absolutely love the horseradish aioli. Amazing! The egg was also perfectly poached. Must get item! The Parmesan breakfast potatoes were good but needed the ketchup to give it the umph. -California Eggs Benny (3/5-$15.50): A bit disappointing after trying the prime rib version. The shrimp was tiny but the bacon made it worked. I didn't notice any avocados though.... -Crispy Chicken & Waffle (3.5/5-$15.50): Now I don't know why but I always end up getting this dish during brunch. The chicken was nice and tender. It still maintained its crispiness despite being overly drenched in bacon gravy. The sugar waffle at the bottom was super sweet. No hot sauce was provided so I asked. It really made a difference. I'm not really the type of person to mix my desserts with savoury meat options. Hence the hot sauce is needed! Portion size was decent. -Prime Rib hash (4/5-$16.50): Initially thought this would somewhat resemble the benny dish but it tasted totally different and just so different. It's less creamy, obviously... and more savoury. Tasted pretty good too. This is definitely a heartier dish compared to the rest. Our server was really nice but at times it's hard to find anyone for assistance. They do seem busy running around the floor but doesn't pay much attention to our area. I had to wait quite a while to get my hot sauce and put in my drink order. Other than that, we had a great time and enjoyed our food. read more

This restaurant is situated just outside the second floor entrance to Guildford mall (closest to the aritzia/forever21). I've come a few times and my favorite seating area is the by the rounded glass window seating area. The dining area is nice to but I like having a view while I eat. Ordered a few things the last time I went in: Coconut calamari, Asian chicken bites, hot spinach and artichoke dip, and the Mediterranean goat cheese platter. I've had the spinach dip before and I know I got it again because it's just so flavorful! Definitely could use some more chips as those go quick, but we had so much other food so we didn't bother asking for more. The Asian chicken bites were delicious with a slight kick. Can't exactly remember what the coconut calamari tasted like but I remember the plate was empty so it must have been Good! Lastly I loved the Mediterranean goat cheese platter. It didn't feel too heavy but was refreshing! Overall I've had good experiences at this particular location and will likely be back again! read more

10/15/2017 This location is shame for milestones restaurant. It never improves in service and management. Only 1 table was occupied in the whole dining area and the rude arrogant hostess made two of us and other party (4) wait for over 5 and 10 minutes respectively. Her excuses? She wants to train a bartender and pretends to look over the menu, walking slowly to the kitchen back and forth, etc. Finally got seated, ordered soup and no spoon for almost 10 min and no one bothers to come or look at our table. Soup was just sitting on my table until they brought the spoon and by then the soup got cold. No apologies, no services. Ordered appetizer and 2 entrees and server asked if I want everything together. I said No, whichever comes first please. Waited 30 min and all came out together with the appi all cold and dried up on the surface. Management? The whole service issues in this location come from this pathetic ignorant management. The manager smirks away about the problem when I pointed out. Fix the management and employees will follow and work properly. read more

Really crappy food. I ordered the Thai chicken shrimp noodles . It was really bland and not enough flavour. I asked for more sauce but it never came. I must've added a generous amount of salt just to get it to the right seasoning. But even then it was blah. I would've been better off ordering the Thai take out from the place downstairs in the mall. My son had their bacon and egg kids meal. I ordered a side of bacon knowing it would probably be not enough. Which it wasn't. And when the side of bacon came it was greasy and not crisp. This place is a disappointment every time I come here. Next time if I ever have to come here again I will definitely pre-eat. Yuck. On a side note, the mimosas are on point. We ordered Appetizer Share Platter, Mango Chili Shrimp, Thai Red Curry Chicken, Tomato Basil Penne, Portobello Mushroom Chicken Bowl, Banana Chocolate Bread Pudding, Ganache Torte and White Chocolate Cheese Cake. I liked all of them, especially Platter, Shrimps, Curry and Ganache. Waitress was friendly but did not take away empty dishes in timely manner. Have only ever had terrible experiences here but my last one is actually worth writing a review about. We came to this location as a family of 6. Overall our waiter was nice and helpful. Our food however, was ruined/messed up 3 times. First, our bruschetta was burnt, so they had to send it back and make another one. Second, one of us had asked for yam fries and got regular fries. Then it took the waiter about half hour to bring out the yam fries. And the best for last, my red curry chicken Thai bowl had a bone in one of the chicken pieces that I nearly swallowed after it cut me at the roof of my mouth. Huge hazard let alone disgusting. Probably won't be returning here. Great work Milestones! You spent way too much money on the decor here and not enough on cook training/ health and safety standards. read more
