I would have rated my experience with 0 stars if that were an option. I went in to schedule my surgery. I'd been there before, this was a follow up. They still made patients wear masks (at least they did when I was there), and they say they're a "scent free" office - meaning no perfumes, scented lotions, etc., which I respect. I showered and washed my hair the day before, used unscented body lotion and didn't use any hair products. When I got there, there were several other people in the waiting room. All of a sudden one of the women who works there (a rather large, older woman) came into the waiting room saying that someone was wearing something with scent in it and might have to reschedule their appointment. I looked around because I knew it wasn't me, but nobody owned up to it. When it was my turn the same lovely woman called me in. She started going on about how someone was wearing something scented and it was going to give her an asthma attack. I said "I'm not wearing anything scented. I don't think it's me". She said nothing. She did what she had to do and left. The RECEPTIONIST came in and said she thought it was me. I was mortified. I wasn't wearing anything scented. Another assistant brought me back to the exam room. I told her that I wasn't wearing anything scented. She said she couldn't smell it but she isn't sensitive to smells. Next I was told that I'd be moved to another exam room with a window that can be opened so I could be examined. The large, older woman had put fans in the hallway to clear out the "offending odor". One of the other doctors came in and I told him that I felt awful but that I didn't put anything with scent on (he said he couldn't smell anything, but he's not sensitive). Dr Palydowycz (who is sensitive to scent, as well as the large, older assistant, apparently) came in and exam was completed. I was so embarrassed and pretty angry. I wasn't wearing anything scented. I cancelled my surgery with him and went somewhere else where I was treated with respect and care. I would NEVER go back to TriState Eye. read more

wow , it's unbelievable how money oriented this office is , hold on to your credit card better yet pay cash if you can they are not trustworthy! I never went to a doctor office where they made it a point that money was the most important thing ! I refused to do anything after the visit, they wanted me to commit on the spot for surgery!! I decided to get second opinion after the creepy feeling I got from staff and doctor. New doctor said there wasn't any need for surgery yet, maybe down the road. The new doctor who was professional wants me to come back in a year and will see if it gets worse and can justify surgery!!!!!!! read more

I don't get these other reviewers here. I found everyone who works here to be kind helpful and completely professional. I had both eyes operated on for cataract and the results were amazing. Dr. Palydowycz is very knowledgeable, professional and intelligent. I am an RN of 50 years (married to a physician) and have interfaced with a myriad of health care professionals in my career. Upon my first initial visit the front desk personnel is very welcoming and friendly. However once called upon to go into a room an individual questioned me and my wife. Inquiring if we were wearing perfume. We advised no, however the lady did not believe us proceeded to huff and give attitude. She opened a window in the room we were placed in. Then stated if this happens again we would not be seen and have to reschedule. She then proceeded to talk about us in the hallway at a level to where I could hear. That particular individual could use a customer service course. It was a very unpleasant experience and due to this I unfortunately will not be returning. It is advised that if you have an employee that has allergies, that the employee be required to wear a mask and kept away from the patients. read more

First let me say doctor was good. Matamoros Pa office is ran by baboons (see below) don't know about Middletown NY. Keep your hand on your wallet people ! Expect hrs at this place ! Don't expect to be out of there less than 2 hrs . Maybe bring a lunch. Staff is the Rude , try to act superior but really act like high school dropouts. I got half of an exam , never did exam for prescription even though that's what the appointment was for, left with dilated eyes and still have to find doctor to get prescription for glasses. Do yourself a favor, find a good doctor that can hire a efficient staff. read more

T update my review, I am sorry that one of its reviewers had to point out that office is very busy, I know those things happen. I also know that that office is sensitive to perfumes. I am not stupid to see these things, I know that from years of experience. That office isn't your best choice if you don't like those things and a patient is also entitled to seek another opinion. I went to tristate eye for a eye examination and a new prescription. I was examined by dr Ross got my new prescription so I had lenses made I also had sunglasses made from a different company and a second pair of glasses. None of the glasses could I see from. So I returned to tristate to see dr Ross his explanation to why I could not see see through all three pair of glasses was "they are transitional lenses. "Well my prescription is for distance and reading. I am a tailor by trade and my close sight is very important. He told me there was nothing he could do. I said I spent over $450 on glasses not to mention $50 copay and $30 for the useless prescription and the $265 it cost the insurance company. His reply was I'm sorry. read more

3 optometrists told me cataracts were the reason why glasses no longer corrected my vision satisfactorily so I went to Tri-state Eye Milford to schedule and appointment with a ophthalmologist. The doctor I saw gave me a rushed and very hurried exam and I received no consultation from him immediately after my exam, instead I received a "referral" scribbled on sticky note from one of the receptionists for a completely unrelated condition which I had received treatment many years ago. The doctor's diagnosis was merely a read back of what I had told him my previous eye condition history was. It's obvious Tri-state books way more patients than they can adequately see and it's a billing mill. The staff is very rude and unprofessional. I'll be getting cataract surgery as soon as possible but it won't be at Tri-state Eye. A complete waste of time going here, don't bother with this place. read more

Escorted my wife to an appointment. This is the coldest, most machine like medical office I have ever seen. From the moment you enter there are posted rules everywhere. Wipe your feet. If you are wearing a scent your appointment will be cancelled. 30 dollars if you need a prescription for glasses (really?)They do not seem to spend 30 more seconds with a patient more than they have to. My wife was told there is a problem in the back of her eye. Our questions were not answered. She was told she needs an appointment with another doctor in the practice and was given a pamphlet. Gee thanks. I thought you were an ophthalmologist! I have been told the doctors here are good. Maybe if you have been given anesthesia and can't notice their miserable personalities. read more

The other 2 reviews on here are why people are skeptical of Yelp reviews in general. Yes, this is a busy office. If you want someone to cuddle you, maybe not the best choice. The Dr. is sensitive to perfumes and scents so they tell you not to use them when you see him, totally understandable, I am the same way. It is common for opthalmologists to charge separately for prescriptions, they did at Crystal Run when I went there for an eye problem and it was $50. But as for this practice, I am a 57-year-old man who had cataract surgery by Dr. Palydowicz in March and April of 2017. It couldn't have gone smoother and I received an excellent result. Nearly perfect vision post surgery where before not only was my vision hazy, my prescription was +6.75 and +8.5 with over +1.00 astigmatism in each eye. Post surgery I was plano (zero) with a .25 astigmatism in one eye and a +0.25 and no astigmatism in the other. No complications. Someone I am friends with had it the same days and also had excellent results, as did both of my in-laws the year before and my mother several years before. I highly recommend this practice if you want the job done right. read more
