Fantastic and great orthodontic office. I came in to see Dr. Shiraki for new retainers. I requested to get a replacement because my retainers were getting fairly discolored. After examining my teeth, she recommended that I do not get a replacement because it was still in good condition. I like that she was really honest and informed me that it wasn't necessary at all. My oldest has anxity, but he made her feel so at ease. She also had a sever under bit and needed exstisve work. Getting, and choosing an orthodontist like Dr. Shiraki is worth every dollar. He corrected mistakes of a cheap orthodontist work, and gave me a million dollar smile that lasted throughout my life. Without any hesitations, one of my boys needed real orthodontic work, we got scheduled as soon as the next day. All the front staff are amazing women, like Doreen who is very efficient in ensuring dental claims are processed correctly, to scheduling any follow up appointments with convenient texting that we preferred. Dr. Shiraki is honest as well as upfront about the type of work needed by showing the specifics of why braces is or not needed. He also explained to us without using medical/dental jargon, the process of proper teeth or orofacial correction with traditional braces that I find more appealing than wearing something that covers my teeth letting bacteria growth persist with constant reminders to put on or off to eat. Than, another child of mine needed teeth correction, and they were so patient with us while working around our busy schedules. In addition, they are located at Mililani Town Center (on the same side of Assagio's) that is so convenient to us living on the Central side. Plus, there are family discounts, and they also sell at a very reasonably cheap price of oral B toothbrushes, replacement heads, toothpaste, whitening/cleaning products, and can work with you if cost is an issue. read more

Pretty friendly guy. Some days he can be a little grumpy especially during early morning check-ups. He's a stickler for regularly flossing and brushing to ensure your teeth are kept clean. Fantastic orthodontist and staff! They were able to get my daughter in the very next day after I called to see what they could do about a lost upper retainer and a broken bottom retainer. Dr. Shiraki was wonderful and worked with us on pricing and was able to mold and get her new retainers made right in the office. My retainers are permanent so I was afraid he would have to replace them costing me an arm and a leg but he was able to fix just the broken area!
