This place is awesome! The ice cream is so creamy, light and delicious and left me wanting more. The bubble cone was really fun to eat and made for a different ice cream experience than your typical hard cone. There weren't a lot of flavors/combinations to pick from, but maybe that changes monthly or every-so-often. My group came at a slow point in the day, so we didn't have to wait in a long line. The prices were a little higher than expected, but I would pay again for such good ice cream. For my experience, the only negative is that the music is way too loud for such a small space. I sort of felt bad for the employees who have to hear the pounding music all shift long. They were also accommodating to my peanut allergy by making my ice cream in a new mixer and being careful with ingredients. I promised the kids ice cream all day yesterday. We chose milk craft! We have had it before, and even though the drive is 24 mins, it has always been well worth it. My spouse worked late, so we ate a quick dinner when he got home at about 9:00. We left our home at 10. When we arrived people were outside eating, and there were people standing inside waiting for their ice cream. The door was open. We all had on masks. When we walked in, the girl behind the counter had said they were closed. I had mentioned that google stated they were open until 11 and it was only 10:32. She responded "yea sorry every night we close at a different time, it just depends on what night"....... googled the times before we left, and it said the location closed at 11:00. I'm not sure why we were turned away.... the young ones were pretty let down, and I was upset because I had just wasted gas and 50 mins of our time.... I've never had this issue before. But after yesterday I am a little disappointed. I could understand if the doors were closed and locked, and no one was inside, but they were literally still making ice cream for the 4 people inside, and the hours state they closed at 11. I'm sure we'll go back, because of the quality, but anyone planning to go late night- I would just call before you leave, so you don't disappoint your kids, waste your gas and time. Good ice cream if you can eat it before it melts. It's a great concept and the ice cream is very creamy and good, but if you get it in the warm bubble cone it will melt quickly. Also, not worth the price for one scoop of ice cream. I get that it is an experience and the ice cream is tasty, but i paid $7 for one scoop of ice cream in a cone and it melted almost immediately. I can get more scoops of ice cream, that's also yummy, down the street for $7 Flavors are very fun. Some are very different and unique. Really enjoy this place & its innovative approach. They can get super packed during peak hours so I prefer to weasel my way in at off peak times. They have an interesting selection of flavors which is served on a soft waffle that they press right there in front of you. You can also get a scoop served btwn a glazed donut or in a cup if you don't fancy all the fancy stuff. The man at the register, who I suspected was in some sort of supervisory role, was unfriendly, rude and unprofessional. So the smores was delicious; the maple bacon not so much. Almost being smashed by the liquid nitrogen vat was also not cool by some careless, overly energetic workers. I love maple bacon, but this was liquid smoke ice cream. All I tasted was bacon smokiness throughout the entire cone and it left a unpleasant aftertaste. For ten dollars, this could be way better. 2 stars here, meh. On the other hand, the smores was AMAZING. Run here, get the smores. Get some of the hot fudge on it, which was also fantastic. Just be aware, they charge you for every extra topping (even the whipped cream. The only thing I didn't like about the smores was the fact it tasted like it had been cooked over a gas flame, which I'm assuming it probably was. But the ice cream was super creamy and delicious. 5 stars here for sure. Overall, I would come here again for the smores... And the fudge, and the cone. And I probably will. This is a destination ice cream place. After hearing about it for months and seeing the billboard on 95 on my drive home, I had to stop in and see what all of the fuss is about. It took me a little bit to decide, but I finally went with the blue cookie butter (one scoop) and I added the caramel and marshmallow topping. My one scoop of ice cream with two toppings in a cup came to more than $9, which is pretty pricy if you ask me. The ice cream was good, the toppings made it very sweet, but it's not something you have every day. To me I would stop here once or twice a year for a special occasion. I am giving them 1 star, not because there ice cream is bad, not because there service is bad, not because there lines are unbearable, but because their pricing is stupid. There is no other way to put it. If the owner responds to this comment I will be reinstating my 4 star review, so let me tell you what is wrong here: a Bubble cone + 1 scoop is $7.50. A single scoop is $5 and for each additional scoop it is $2.50 (the flavors have to be the same for the additional scoops) and the cost of a bubble cone by itself is $5. So if I want to order 2 scoops of ice cream and get a bubble cone. It will cost me $12.50, no matter what way you cut it. If I get 2 unique flavors it will be ($7.50 bubble cone and ice cream + $5 for the second flavor) or if the flavors are the same ($7.50 for the 2 scoops + $5 for the cone). The system that is set up here is one that discourages ordering more, which boggles my mind. No other store/restaurant/etc. has such a strange system and I am rather dubious it is correct in this setting. If you want to limit the "discounted" extra scoop to the same flavor, fine I can understand that, since you don't want the lines to move too slowly, but what they have here is silly. (note most of my prices estimates are inflated by 5 cents each fwiw, excluding the price for an additional scoop which is in fact $2.50) read more

So, I have some suggestions for Milkcraft... The bubble cone is WAY too much & such a waste. I was able to eat about 5 of those little squares. You should offer a little cut out of the bubble cone, to be stuck into a cup of ice cream as a garnish, rather than a whole cone. It is way too filling and such a mess. The ice cream got all over my hands, as it was huge and unnecessary. The ice cream itself so delicious, but there are other ice cream places with equally as creamy and yummy ice cream for half the price or less. I ordered the Salted Carmel in a bubble cone with a spoonful of Nutella & my total was $10. I couldn't even finish half of my ice cream. I really wanted to give this place higher ratings. Having read the reviews prior to going, I wasn't expecting much. But this was a treat for my kids and something I felt like I needed to try. The lines at 1:30 were short. No problem. My first turn off was the mis-spelling of marshmallow on the outside signage (marshmellow). As other people noted, the staff is not at all friendly. No interaction whatsoever. Other reviews complained about the music and I agree. Funny how so many have mentioned the loud music and that apparently hasn't been addressed by the owner. Even my 12 year old thought the music was too loud. And I just don't see the correlation of loud music and ice cream. Not sure what ambiance they're looking for - but it's not enjoyable indoors or outside with the music. As others mentioned, the ice cream comes out at different times. It appears that one staff member takes a full ticket. So instead of the staff simultaneously making our order, (I.e. Dividing 3 cones amongst 3 employees) one person made all 3 cones. One at a time. That's not ideal when one person is eating and the rest of your party waits 10 minutes. Lastly, I didn't care for the bubble cone. How are you supposed to eat it? You can't bite it - it's like a soft waffle. You have to tear at it with your teeth. And a spoon won't cut into it. I ended up picking with my fingers and threw most of it out since my hands were covered in blue from the cookie butter flavor (why on earth is that blue??? Specaloos are a warm brown color) The ice cream was delicious! Cookie butter was amazing. The s'mores chocolate was also good (the marshmallow was disgusting). Not worth the hype at all. After a 45 min wait we eagerly ordered an our ice creams four in total. Two came out rather quickly, while the other two needed more time to be made. After patiently waiting I received my other, the bourbon flavored ice cream inside a sandwich. Knowing this would take some time to eat I asked for a cup and and spoon to eat it with. I was turned down Goethe cup saying it would be too small and that the spoons were right in front of me (sample spoons). So I begrudgingly took them and off I went. Milkcraft is the definition of expensive "hipster" ice cream. The first thing I noticed is how ridiculously long the line is. Which, for being a new flashy place, is understandable. They are very good at keeping the line rolling. The outside is made up of a flashy seating area with tables and loud music as if you are in a club. I do like that they have lots of seating but I can see this place being CRAZY packed in the summer. Not nearly enough trash cans for the amount they are selling. There is NO indoor seating, as it's usually jam packed I assume they are trying to avoid crowding. When you get inside the first thing you notice is the chalk signs and overall hipster decor. It's actually a cool looking place. Reading over the fancy, script sign I settled for a bubblecone with the salted caramel which, came with popcorn and caramel drizzled on top. The bubblecone is basically a non-traditional waffle with bubbles in it (think of large bubble wrap). It's good, when it's warm.. which is usually not the case unfortunately. A mushy, cold, waffle and ice cream is nauseating. The waffle cone is fantastic when it's actually hot. Yet it's totally annoying that you only get one scoop and they don't tell you that or advertise it when you order, but one scoop is really all you need honestly, as it's really filling, especially with the bubblecone. It's also annoying that you can't substitute anything, you can only add toppings for your already expensive ice cream. $7 for a bubblecone with one scoop, add a few toppings and you're looking at a $10 ice cream. Good luck GETTING your ice cream. We waited while people with large parties who were FAR behind us got their orders first and who ordered the same thing. There was a girl in front of us whose friend finished her ice cream long before she even got hers and she must've been waiting 10 minutes. She was very polite and asked about her ice cream while the employee was rude. Her claim was that "more popular flavors come out first", which is a straight up bullshit lie because whatever she ordered (and we) came out at least 5 times before hers (and ours) did. Also it's really strange that they have an employee at the very end putting on toppings with no glass covering the area. So basically I can hover over them and breathe/cough/poop all over the toppings. Since there is basically no where to move and there is a crowd of people waiting for their ice cream, chances are someone is going to be in that space. A minor glitch in their layout. There's only one door that you go in and out of. Good luck with that when it's really high volume or if you have someone who is handicapped in a wheelchair. Although I doubt a person in a wheelchair will be able to get up that ramp with the outdoor benches in the way and the trash can overflowing.. is that even legal to block the ramp? The toppings are generic and hipster. You could buy an entire box of cereal for the amount you're paying for a handful on your cone. Plus that comment below saying "we don't sell coco puffs?". You ain't shit for that and you know exactly what she meant. What a rude thing to say to a customer. It's an interesting place for sure, extremely hipster and ice cream is very creamy. I would recommend sharing with someone just to try the experience as a once in a lifetime thing.
