Only gave two stars because the food was decent and our server was friendly, when we actually saw her... all but three times. We sat down with a party of 5 and only received two menus and two sets of silverware. After about 10 minutes of sitting with no service or even an acknowledgement from anyone we flagged down a gentleman and we're able to ask for ONE drink before he bolted. He didn't bother to take any of the other 4 drink orders. Then after 5 more minutes we flagged him down again, still with two menus and two sets of silver for five, and asked him to take our drink order. And 5 minutes go by and we FINALLY had a woman come by and take our order. Fast forward to appetizer and refills.... our appetizer plates set on the table along with our empty drink glasses for an eternity until our food came out, still with only two sets of silverware, and we had to ask her to take the plates and refill our drinks. I'm sorry but you have about 4 servers on the floor and only about 10 tables sat. Either drop your food prices to accommodate your crappy service or train your staff to accommodate your lunch rushes. My experience was memorable but not in the slightest bit pleasant. I would've rather went to McDonald's and saved the $70 after tip and received better, faster service. I'm visiting from out of town so I definitely won't be back but my mother and sister both said they've been a handful of times and the service is always sub par/slower than ever. read more

My family of four stopped here for dinner on a Friday night while passing through Longview on our way to Northern Washington from Oregon. We found Mill City on Yelp. The place was busy and lively, but with the seat yourself sign, we were quickly able to find a comfortable table for four. The highlight for my boys was the large jar of Jenga pieces to play with at each table. The menu is extensive and has a nice variety of wood-fired items, fried fare, pasta, salads, tacos, pizzas, fries, wings, seafood options, drinks (full bar), and dessert (though we were too stuffed to even consider dessert). We enjoyed the loaded sweet potato fries (wood-fired) which feature an insanely decadent and delicious bleu cheese sauce - must try! I had the halibut fish tacos (would have preferred grilled halibut to fried, but still tasty) which featured a tasty side of house-pickled vegetables. The hubby had their standard pepperoni pizza and said it was nice. One kiddo had the pulled pork sandwich from the adult menu and devoured it, leaving no trace. And the youngest member of our clan enjoyed about 70% of an enormous portion of Mac n cheese from the kids menu (he's 8 years old and usually eats more than your average adult - this portion of kids Mac and cheese was huge and could easily be shared by two younger children without anyone going hungry). We would definitely stop at Mill City again the next time we find ourselves in Longview! read more

My Girlfriend and I just moved to Longview from out of state and our first time in historic downtown Longview on 12-23 around noon, we were hungry & decided to try out The Mill City Grill. The place looked great and the menu looked fantastic! It was busy and maybe they were having a bad day? After we sat in the middle of the downstairs dining area then ordered drinks we then had to wait a while to get menus then had to wait even longer to place our food orders & had to order more drinks by this time. So after being at this place for an hour still hungry & thirsty & tired of waiting for everything & seeing other people get food that came in 20 minutes after us, I then decided to go to register to pay for the 2 drinks we received & leave. The guy seemed mad about the circumstances that day & apologized. I'm surprised that he charged us for the 2 drinks. We were looking so forward to eating here. We ended up walking to the Urban Grill & that place was great. Not sure if we will ever be back to the Mill City Grill. read more

We had a fantastic meal at Mill City Grill! We tried the cheeseburgers, chili, and club sandwich - everything was absolutely delicious and tasted fresh. The cheeseburgers were juicy and flavorful, the chili had a great depth of flavor, and the club sandwich was piled high with quality ingredients. What really stood out, besides the great food, was the excellent service. The staff was attentive and friendly, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for tasty, well-prepared comfort food served with a smile, I highly recommend giving Mill City Grill a try. We'll definitely be back to sample more of their menu! read more

Starting with the positive aspects, the drinks were quite good, adding a nice touch to the meal. However, when it came to the food, I felt that oyster crackers were a must-have with the clam chowder, yet they were missing from the table. It's a small detail but one that enhances the chowder experience significantly. On the service front, there was definitely room for improvement. The staff seemed overwhelmed and it took longer than expected to get our orders. Overall, while there were enjoyable moments, the service left a lot to be desired. Friday evening at 6:30, no hostess welcoming or seating guests, tables dirty, servers glaring and visibly annoyed about working, portions small for the price, food is decent but spotty depending on what you get. Outlaw biker gang took over most of the upstairs with their smelly leathers and #13 patches worn proud. This place had a vision, but is poorly ran. The menu needs to be trimmed down and something needs to be done about the cafeteria seating downstairs. Is this a restaurant, a bar, a bbq joint, a pizza place, a steak house?? It has been years since our last visit to Mill City Grill, and unfortunately, it was not the experience we had hoped for. The service was mediocre at best--lacking attentiveness and energy. The food was just acceptable, nothing that stood out or justified the prices. Given how much time has passed since we last dined here, it's disappointing to see that the restaurant hasn't evolved with the competition. With so many other dining options in the area, Mill City Grill needs to step up its game if it wants to stay relevant. read more

Absolutely love this place! The food at this restaurant is simply excellent, and the friendly service makes it even better. Possibaly the worst meal I have ever had. The service was fine but the food was bland and gross. They use this fake cheese that was awful. I ordered two different dishes both bad. They need to up their level. Taste the food. I did not have any beer to wash it down maybe that is their strategy not sure but I would never go back again read more
