To Cue or not to Cue? That is the question. Cue is either a place you love or hate depending on the day and the time. If you come to Cue on a week day then it's a normal bar and is a great way to pass time, but if you're coming on a weeknight then that's something different! Weeknights can get so crowded that you can barely move around and you will get bumped into nonstop all night. But besides that you can meet some funny people, some obnoxious people, or some funny obnoxious people.If coming on a weeknight, come before 11 because the line gets ridiculous and being inside becomes a boxing match. Cue has good drink specials no matter what time but it is a bar for a younger crowd, so if you're looking for something upscale you are in the wrong place. I like going to Cue if not simply just to people watch and have a good time when they have a good DJ. The music can definitely be a hit or miss which can ruin my night of debauchery if half of the songs playing is by Sublime. To Cue or not to Cue? It's up to you! read more

I have spent dozens of memorable (althought I can't remember them) nights at Cue. Somehow we always end Mill adventures at Cue, shaking our bodies to the music and trying not to hit the million other people in the bar. If you are a single female, this is a mans bar and you are in luck! (This is a college bar though, so I can't guarantee the quality of the men!) I would have gladly given Cue 5 starts, however the past two visits have (although very fun) rubbed me wrong. Cue, If I wanted to go to Scottsdale and pay for a bathroom attendant,l I would. HOWEVER, I am coming to a hole-in-the-wall bar so I can drink cheap and not have to worry about girls doing their make up in the bathroom. Maybe it is a woman thing, but once I brake the seal, I am in the bathroom every 30 minutes. I don't want to spend a extra $12 on tipping someone to sit and hand me towels. MAJOR TURNOFF. The last two times I have been in, I have been DD. When I asked for a water to sip on the cocktail waitress looked at me like I was crazy. She said she knew a list of "skinny drinks" if I was watching my calories. Um, no. When she finally brought my my water, it was in a HUGE red solo cup with WATER written on the side. Watched a group of peaceful peeps having a good night out untill the psycho manager came out like a banshee screaming at these people for no good reason I watched n listened to this apparently this dude returned a drink that wasn't made correctly ...fair enough I've had this same problem stuff happens people make mistakes but I'm leaning more twords intentional because it seems to be coming from the same bimbo manager lol she cannot make drinks right ever!! Don't choose this place. I used to come here often until one time I came with my friend and she got treated with racism. It was very ridiculous. The security was shown an AZ drivers license, a Mexico ID, an ASU sun card, and a debit card to prove that it was my friend. I think he needed a birth certificate and a passport tbh because he denied to let her in. He was being so rude and kicked her out and then he was gonna let me in but I told him he was being so rude to her so then I got kicked out too. I've had more than my fair share of evenings spend at the mill cue club and in all honesty I can say I've almost always enjoyed every one of them. There's always a ton of eye candy, drinks are cold with a decent pour and the table rates are reasonable. Courtesy Cues are not too bad. Thethe smoking area outside is usually packed and very cramped...which isn't too bad when the aforementioned eye candy is on the scene...just sayin. read more

Cue Club is an essential stop when hitting the bars on Mill Avenue. It has the top two aspects of any good bar: delicious, inexpensive drinks and a great atmosphere. Drinks: I would recommend the Long Islands. Inexpensive and strong. They are mixed fresh (the way the good Lord intended) not premade like some of the other bars on Mill. Atmosphere: It combines an old school pool hall feel, with a modern college twist. The music is rap/hip-hop/dance. Always has a nice buzz throughout the place. Cue should definitely be on the top of the list when bar-hopping on Mill Ave. I have never had a bad time there. read more

So I've been a here a million times when the sun goes down however I have never shot pool! So I decided to check It out during the day! They have a good deal. On Sunday's the pool is $5 /hour! Met some friends and played for about two hours lots of fun and good drink deals! Was interesting to see the place quiet, clean and pretty empty. If you're on mill and want to try something different defiantly check it out. They had a bunch of TVS Playing football games as well. read more

The Cue Club is my favorite spot on Mill. There are a cluster of pool tables and big screen TV's in the back and music bumps throughout the bar. The crowd is laid back and the drink specials are superb. On top of that, you can order food from Bison Wiches and the Cue Club staff will run over and bring your food back to you. I won't comment on the customers due to proximity of the school, expect college students. I will however comment on the "security" training. The "security" and I use quotations marks because it's confusing to see a person wearing a security shirt also take care of janitorial, bar backing and waiter duties. Example, in a crowded area a "security" worker was carrying ice and was being escorted by another "security" who literally shoved a customer, whose back was to them. When the customer shoved their hand away and turned around to see who was pushing, they didn't mind that it was security but was annoyed that they were shoved. I may suggest giving security a bright flash light and to announce themselves. Large concert venues do it and it works. Another example: A person I was with needed to smoke so I went with her outside. Prior to exiting, we asked "security" if where we were allowed to smoke outside, pointed to the curb, and asked if we were allowed reentry. They said "yes, but with ID" -- what the employee failed to tell us is that there is a smoking section. Also when we asked to be let back, the same employee who "assisted" us in the smoking area and he same employee who told us we could re enter, forced us to go to the end of the line. Then when we tried to renter, we were denied because (we forgot) our IDs were taken with our debit cards at the bar. Our debit carbs even had our photo on them. So we had to be escorted to the bar. So to sum it up, I was not satisfied with the way they conducted business. read more

Please read until the end. I came here on the 20th anniversary for a drink or two with a friend. I had maybe half a drink, less considering I was sharing it with a friend. I had just ordered another, since last call was soon approaching, when my friend went to the bathroom. As I waited patiently at the table alone, simply people watching, I was approached by a security guard. He asked how I was doing and I respond with an "ok just waiting for my buddy to get back" when another guard approached me and asked me to leave. The original guard said " no no he's fine" (I'm sober as a bird mind you, not even through a full drink..) . They leave and my friend returns. We discuss what had just happened when the security came back. This time both asking me to leave. I questioned why since I had just ordered a beverage that was barely touched and I was clearly not intoxicated to even the slightest degree. They said we could talk outside. We went outside where they informed me that the manager said I was falling asleep. Also untrue as I was people watching and perfectly fine. So I asked for the manager. They declined my request. Then I asked for a refund on the nearly untouched drink I had just ordered. This request was also declined. Obviously I was very upset about this. In fact, this review was a 1-star. Since this night the bars operator, Dennis Alexander, reached out to me to further discuss the events. After talking to his staff and reviewing security surveillance, it was clear that there was a couple mistakes made by the door hosts whom were relatively new. He apologized on their behalf used the event as a teaching opportunity to ensure the same mistakes were not made again. His professionalism and attentiveness are why I gave this more stars and would come again. read more

Piece of crap place that can't read IDs and made a big deal out of it. They called the cops on us when they themselves can't tell who people really are. It ruined our whole night by making the cop come over and verify whether my friend was really her. The cop confirmed it was her and gave the id back. After the whole ordeal the bouncer just stared at us and didn't even apologize to my friend. Never coming back they will ruin your night!!!!!!! I'm almost 24 years old and I have never had a problem getting into bars, when I went to cue club that changed. My girlfriend and I walked in and were id'd at the bar. My girlfriend who just turned 21 had no problem, myself on the other hand I was refused service due to the fact that she thought my Id was "suspicious".
