Can't understand why this place is always so packed. Well actually, the sound system is probably the best out of any club on mill. So that part I liked. There is room to breathe once you make it to the pool tables, but it's a battle to get there in the first place. There is a good amount of tables. Overall, so so. I enjoyed the time my husband and I spent there. Meant to have a Long Island Ice tea as I hear they are "the bomb". I played it safe with beer and a tequila shot :) Loved the music, had a blast playing pool. My husband enjoyed playing pool also, isn't into loud bass pumping music like iam :) Because it is in ASU town expect a college crowd ready to party. not a bad joint, but the crowd tends to be too college for me. they used to have a lot more pool tables, and now calling it a cue club for two tables seems misleading. the music on weekends is usually top 40s with an emphais on hip hop, and they play accompanying videos on the big screen tvs behind the bar. i imagine this switches up to sports during the day or weekday nights. drinks prices are average. the line to get in late on fri and sat not a big deal, goes pretty quick and possibly a small cover ($3-$5). read more

Compared to Big Bang, this place was PACKED. The drinks here were cheap and the vibe was pretty chill. They had music videos playing on the televisions. There was a fight right out front while we were having a cigarette but that's Mill for you. It was a little cramped for my liking but I managed. The best part? We started the night a lot here in college. I never order long islands anywhere else, but that's the only thing I've ever ordered here. They are HUGE, delicious, and $3 until 11pm. That is a DEAL. After one or two of these you really don't need any other drinks for the rest of the night, they are crazy strong. Really fun on game days. There are equal amounts of good and bad at this bar. Weekends are definitely very packed and you should be prepared to wait in line if you are arriving after 10pm. Also, if you are going to play pool, you should know that the tables normally stay full the entire night so arrive early and reserve your table. It is a fairly narrow bar so you will probably be spending a lot of time trying to navigate through people... but once again this problem can be solved by arriving a little early and getting a table which comes with a cocktail waitress so you will not have to fight your way to the overcrowded bar! The music is pretty decent, playing a mixture of rock, pop, and rap/r&b along with accompanying music videos on a number of TVs and even a large projector screen in the pool area. I think this is a nice touch and gives you something to stare at when you aren't looking at all of the attractive 20-somethings (haha). This is definitely a bar for the college crowd and the drinks are very moderately priced. I prefer the $4.50 long island iced teas which are packed full of alcohol and will last you for a good hour! Two of those and you gals should be good to go! If you decide to go on an off night, Mondays are wonderful! $2 beers, open pool tables, and all the room in the world to walk around makes it a great date spot for you and your honey to have a kick-back time. read more

My friends searched for places to do things and decided upon here for billiards & drinks. Wasn't too hard to find although I might be worried about finding parking. We were lucky that a small parking area around the corner, someone was just leaving. They are metered parking spots but it says only metered til 10pm. It's not a huge place. It wasn't packed but still a good number of people inside(it was a Wed nite). Pool table rates are hourly, rounded by 15min intervals. Staff were friendly & helpful. Drinks were reasonably priced. If you want to immerse yourself in the mill scene this is a good start. Always packed and good deals on their long islands and their long list of variants this is the greatest place to start off before venturing elsewhere down mill ave in my opinion. I frequent Mill Cue Club quite often with my husband because we LOVE the long islands and the trash cans- best I've ever had! We're normally greeted by Brian in Security who is awesome and served by Kenneth who is AMAZING at making the drinks. He's very friendly and personable as well. This past Thursday (1/25/18) we came around 6pm and were served by a young lady... needless to say, worst service we've had here. She wasn't personable or friendly. She waited quite a bit of time to greet us even though she saw us walk in. When she did greet us she was very bland and lacked friendliness. Her tone of voice and body language were VERY off putting and we couldn't figure out why. My husband and I were both very bubbly and friendly until she rubbed us the wrong way. Drinks were subpar. Now I'll definitely be screening who's at the bar before we come in to spend any more coin. I have been in the customer service industry for years from an associate to a manager and I KNOW bad customer service when I see it- SHE IT. we barreled thru the drinks just to leave faster. No- don't keep our tab open (as we normally do) and don't expect a good tip (as we normally exceed the standard tip percentage). Maybe the rest of the bartenders here have set the standards too high. They should be rewarded. I hope the manager sees this because everyone else has been awesome and I wouldn't leave a detailed review if the service we received on that evening evening wasn't THIS bad. In a customer service environment it's all about attitude. And maybe she was having a bad day, but her attitude (at minimum) just wasn't in the right place (with us) that night. read more

This was by far, my favorite bar in Tempe while at ASU. Did my 21st here at midnight. It's a pool hall, and near a college town. What do you expect? Their drinks are fairly strong, and while the service is sub-par, it's a neat spot to spend on a weeknight. Note: WEEKNIGHT! This place gets WAY too crowded on the weekends, you can hardly get to the restrooms and shove past the insane amounts of drunk people. Favorite bar on Mill! This is a great mixture of a dive bar vibe and a club vibe. The DJs are fantastic and the bartenders are great. They do not serve food, but their delicious drinks make up for it! They also allow you to bring in food from the outside if you decide that you want to eat in there. Their long islands will get you feeling great with just one! They usually have a good list Of seasonal beer on tap, which I love too. The pool tables are great-especially on nights that aren't quite as busy. We love going in on Sundays to play pool, but also enjoy the busier nights. Unlike some bars, they do a great job making sure there is enough staff for busy events. You won't spend your time in line waiting for a drink, which is nice. Mill Cue Club is a fun place to go on a weekend night with good drinks although it is a bit packed at times and tough to navigate through at times. I do not care for the long lines either but the place gets busy which is a good thing. Tables are 8 footers mainly for fun players and not serious pool playing, makes for good drunk pool though. I have had plenty of fun in this place and won a couple bucks and drinks playing there. I recommend it and the ladies there are pretty attractive too. I am taking off one star because the bathrooms are usually nasty. read more

My friends and I always start the night here despite the sometimes crazy long line. Why? The not watered down, cheap drinks and the atmosphere. You also run into everyone you know, even on a Tuesday night. My favorite part is the oversized Jenga in the back. They security staff were racist because I accidentally showed them my Mexican driver license and they would not accept it and then I showed them my driver license from here and they would not even look at it. I even asked to talk to the manager, but he kicked me out because I was being "rude" to them. Of course I was reacting because they couldn't even look at all my id's that I had to prove that it was me. They didn't even give a chance to show them my identity. Cue club has gone down hill! Ever since they added the tables for bottle service it is just way to crowded and impossible to move around in there. Last night I went there and the entire bar was completely dirty and glasses everywhere. They should have people going around to clean up. I love this place because they got the best drinks on Mill Ave! line is always long because its popular for every age group, class, and gender and the drinks are good price. the DJ is one of the best, they have affordable pool tables, good drinks, and the staff are well trained! even though its busy they treat everybody the same and I always tip them because they deserve it! the table service is good plus they got a lot of hot girls working for them and its very big on the ASU crowd which I love! the dress code is casual and the the Drinks are more bang for your buck! it gets popular one the weekends and I'm always feel like I'm want there! I recommend this bar to everyone and especially college kids! the line is worth the wait and to the staff thanks for being so kind. My friends and I came down for the night in order to play some pool. We came early enough to get a table despite it being a Saturday (granted, it is July and there are fewer people in town) but it did become crowded later on. We had an amazing server and the drinks are very reasonably priced. It would have been a great night, save for one thing: I was forced to hide my cross necklaces. Don't get me wrong, I understand the policies behind dress codes that ban baseball caps, bandanas, or particular gang colors. But necklaces?? They aren't huge pieces of bling, but small and sentimental religious items I wear every day without issue. I've never experienced anything like it before, and frankly, I was offended. I couldn't even get a reason from the staff beyond 'it's the policy'. Had I not been with my group of friends, I'd have left immediately. As it is, I don't plan on going back. read more

I have been to this establishment a few times and I have to say it is one of the best places on Mill Avenue to go. The drink specials are superb, there has never been a cover charge in the multiple times I have gone on the weekend and during special events, and there is something for everyone to enjoy. There is a long wait to get inside but it is worth it for the inexpensive Long Islands. I would recommend this place to anyone that loves to go out and have fun with a lot of people and around a lot of people. read more

Excellent cigar choices,, open betting on your own pool game. I like grabbing a drink and stogie, sitting back and waiting for the right person to play against. The cocktails are well priced, nice choices of beer. Billiard tables are in excellent shape and just enough of them to draw amateurs and a mix of so called hustlers with more cash than brains. I'm always their on business so I really appreciate the quality of the house cues, plus it gives more confidence to your opponent. Clean bathrooms, attendants when I've been there. Plus, tables are in elevated section at back of building so you can party up front and stick in the rear. Cubbyhole window from table level to end of bar is a nice touch. Stop by for fun. read more

Cue Club has become a Mill Avenue staple in recent years. Every notable Tempe establishment has its own respective day in which it is best to attend. For Cue Club that day is without a doubt Sunday. The seemingly endless long islands and cheap drinks on Sunday make for an excuse to get absolutely plastered. They have pool tables and a few bar games in the back so you're not forced to converse with the people you came with.
