I went to this bar expecting a normal night out and instead left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. From the moment I arrived, the staff's attitude toward me was noticeably different. I was ignored, spoken to rudely, and treated as if I didn't belong there. Meanwhile, other customers were treated politely. The contrast in treatment was impossible to ignore and made the situation feel discriminatory and racist. No explanation was given, no effort was made to correct the behavior, and the lack of professionalism was shocking. A bar should be a place where everyone feels welcome, and this was the complete opposite. I would not return and strongly caution others--especially people of color--to think twice before supporting this business. read more

Great dive bar for good drinks and good times with great people. Went in as a solo traveler from out of town and made friends quick over games of pool and good conversation. All the regulars here know and greet eachother like family and it makes for a great atmosphere. Special thanks to Nathan, Manny, Jose, Dom and Lu who all made a traveler feel right at home here. I can't even begin to explain being an attractive woman in a bar it's always a challenge when all you want to do is get away from the world and have a drink and I found my piece of mind with JOYCE. she truly is my guardian angel. If at any time EVER someone approaches me she tells them off and I just feel comfortable because of this woman. If you ever need to get away and escape from life for a sec come in on Joyce's shift and you'll feel just like at home. I promise you. Now this is a true dive. I believe the sign out front says that they open at 6a.m. And no, they don't open that early to serve you scrambled eggs and coffee ;) Ladies, smart to walk with sharp side of your keys out when walking in the parking lot. Better to wait for your friend (or date but that would be a very unromantic date) in the bar rather than sitting outside Wanderin. The name 'Wanderin' fits.... That is what it feels most of the patrons did ... literally 'wander in' to the bar. Quite random... older crowd... heavy drinkers... That is not to say very friendly... had a great debate on the correct recipe for a Moscow Mule with a gentleman down the bar. No one won, since neither of us had cool phones with internet capabilities. This is not the place to order a cosmopolitan, wear patent leather pumps or sport that pseudo Louis Vuitton purse :) I 100% agree with the other reviewer.. this is a MUST visit on any dive bar crawl. read more

True local neighborhood dive bar, however not a place where the regulars stare you down and want you to leave. They are really quite friendly. The bartender was attentive and friendly and actually quite the eye candy. Granted its in a shader area, but if you're already in the area and need cheap booze, Good times! read more

Yeah, this place is indeed a shithole. I guess it fits the neighborhood. Stopped by here recently on a trip to Phoenix for Spring Training and this place was by our hotel. I got a small pitcher of bud light and a healthy sized shot of Patron (we're talking a half filled rocks glass, not a shot glass) for under $10. Theres a few TVs and a few pool tables. Unfortunately, they also had Karaoke going on. I hate Karaoke and it seems to be the thing to do in Phoenix. Anyways, as shitty as this place is, it has good prices and its been my experience that places like this usually provide unique experiences and colorful people to talk to,. worth a look. read more

We come here for karaoke mostly. The bartenders are always amazing. Me and my steady fella have had such a friendly welcome into this neighborhood bar. The karaoke host Saturday nights is especially great. She will look up songs for you and is so nice and efficient. Friday night karaoke is a close second. My only wish is for better drafts on tap! Dive, divy, diviest bar in Phoenix I think, and so awesome for it. Staff is friendly and no-nonsense, so keeps the trouble down, Cheap drinks, and a fun time if you're into that sorta thing. I highly recommend a visit if youre looking for a divy spot to have an ICY cold beer. By far, the coldest beer ive ever had, but not frozen or slushy. The glass alone will make you beg for the Arizona Summer. Even the owner is friendly, which seems common sense but we all know isn't always the case. The owner Quinton is a real down to earth person. He is an advocate of eat, drink and have fun. The day bartender Joyce is the most hard working bartender in the valley. She is a no nonsense true blue collar employee. She keeps everyone in line if need be and is quick to pour you your favorite beverage. The beer is cold and the crowd is diverse. I have gone to this true dive bar many times, but will not be back! The Friday night bartender was great but she quit! The Karaoke host Thom, who was awesome, had all the best songs and was nice is gone now too! The ceiling is falling off in chunks in the back room around the evap cooler, the bathroom floor is often wet and smells funky. The only food available is a couple things in a vending machine and Tony ' s frozen pizza which they microwave for you. I have seen bar fights where police have been called and a few other things I would rather not have seen! Let me just say that without the great karaoke and good bartender, there is absolutely no reason to go! You probably couldn't find it, the tree in front of the sign keeps it pretty hidden! If I could give it a 1/2 star or none I would! read more
