I HIGHLY WARN anyone to have any service done from this salon. I flew from NYC. I trusted this salon with my hair. I booked a "Full Head of Highlights" & "Tape-in Extension Consultation" DO NOT GO to this salon with high quality standards. Upon arrival to the salon, I was shocked at how clumsy the stylist was. Jenny dropped her foiling board onto me. Then my forehead started to burn from beach. One of the foils she had done was not formulated correctly and the consistency was too loose to stay inside the foils. It leaked out on the forehead and she left it there. She tried to fix this by grabbing 2 of the foils on the top of my head and crumbling more foil onto it with force. In resulted in the foils having too much weight and falling out onto me 3 more times. Making a lot of tension on my hair. I had to ask her if I could please wash off the bleach that she just let sit on my bare skin. I had an allergic reaction. She was the only one at the salon. She had to call the owner multiple times. The owner did not come to help train her on the proper procedure. The stylist then gave me a Benadryl. The salon had no first aid. I had to sit there for the remainder of the appointment with a wet paper towel held in place to prevent a serious chemical reaction. Jenny assured me she used my inspiration reference photo as she was doing my hair and to my surprise when she was finished she had not understood the highlight reference. Prior to the appointment the owner requested photos of my hair and inspiration for reference. I sent her detailed photos of my current hair without extensions in natural sunlight. I sent detailed reference videos and photos. The reference photos I sent were of my exact hair I had last Summer 2022. The owner and the stylist both confirmed the details prior to my appointment and assured me they were capable of achieving the desired result. The reference photos were not followed during my appointment. I had a lengthy in person consultation prior to my appointment. During this consultation the stylist, Jenny, did not communicate or articulate that she lacked the experience or skillset to execute what was needed. She gave me what she called a "Lived in Blonde" which consisted of randomly placed, splotchy, uneven, brassy, blonde streaks. It looked nothing like what I requested. In summary, please be Cautious and WARNED. I was shocked when the stylist had no training or experience and was left alone at the salon. She was not trained in the proper hair services, inventory, products, extension haircare or styling. I gave Jenny my current hair extensions I brought with me so that she could properly color match my exact tone. She did nothing with them but wash them. I brought them only for her to match. Jenny gave them back to me at the end of my appointment wet. If she was properly trained she would know that leaving extensions wet will ruin the integrity of the hair. I informed her that I am traveling from Manhattan and do not have my Dyson with me to properly dry the extensions. I informed her that I usually leave them with the stylist during the Tape-In ordering process to precisely color match and purchase the correct volume of hair needed. I expressed to her the exact extensions I usually purchase and sent detailed reference photos and videos prior to my appointment to the stylist and the owner for confirmation. I highly warn anyone who is invested in the quality of their natural hair and the artistry of hair extension services to stay way from this business. This salon is no where near the level of expertise needed to execute what they claim. HORRIBLE. Shameful. customer service. read more

I discovered this salon through Jenny Low, who was promoting discounted hair services on Facebook. I have been wanting to go blonde (from light brunette) for some time now so I reached out. We started talking via messenger and she was quick to respond and easy to schedule with. I sent photos of what I was interested in and she said the price would be $195. She disclosed that she had just graduated her program but was confident she could do the color I wanted. The next day she messaged me and apologized and stated the salon owner wanted $255 for the service - still not bad for going blonde, so I set an appointment. Before the appointment I get a message saying we might not be able to go as light as I want but guaranteed it wouldn't be over $300. I was starting to get skeptical but agreed to come in for a consultation. The salon was nice, the coffee they offered me was good, and the snacks were a nice touch...but those are the only good things I can say about this salon. I was in the chair for 7 hours and my hair was nearly ruined. I was charged over $400 and when I asked if I could just pay for the product as I was incredibly dissatisfied with the result the owner told me they had a no refund policy. They offered to let me come in again and pay another $500 to have them fix my hair. When I said that was not an option for me they said they would remove the toner for free but my hair would be orange. It wasn't even necessarily the color I was upset about - it was the streaky/blocky lines of bleach in my hair. I was so embarrassed. I went back and forth with them and they refused to refund me. Jenny messaged me and apologized and said she wanted to do something but it was the salon owner's policy. The salon owner defended herself saying Jenny is a new stylist which I understand but stand by your salon and the image you portray by letting a client leave in tears with their hair destroyed. I was lucky enough to find an artist to fix my hair. She was so shocked when she saw what Jenny did and even asked for the salons number to reach out as a fellow stylist and tell them it was unfair what they did and I should not have been charged. They did not respond to her and Jenny and the salon blocked me on social media. All I want is for this salon to do the right thing. I have offered to pay for the product and am just asking for a refund for the service. It is heartbreaking that I had to go to another salon and pay for my hair to be fixed. I booked an appointment for extensions plus a haircut through Vagaro with Chelsea and several days before the appointment I received an email stating that a consultation was needed first. That's fine, no problem. I had already purchased several wefts through Glamseamless but probably needed a little more. I emailed Chelsea immediately back and told her such then attempted to contact her several times throughout the remainder of the day and the following to request that she cancel the appointment on her end because I was having trouble doing so through Vagaro. At this point the appointment had not been "accepted" so all was well as the salon has to accept the booking in order for any payment and fees to be deducted from my account and since I'd been contacted and told by Chelsea a consult was needed prior to application and I'd definitely made my desires known and requested to have the appointment cancelled, I DEFINITELY DID NOT EXPECT TO SEE $332 WITHDRAWN FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT ON FRIDAY. Not only did Chelsea go ahead and "accept" the booking on Friday at 12:30, shortly before my appointment which had been scheduled at 2:00, which incidentally charged me the full $332 price for extension application, haircut and a tip - she also did so AFTER multiple communications, notices and requests from my end clearly voicing my desire for cancellation. After a year of COVID-19, an extremely difficult pregnancy and the birth of my first child, all I've wanted to do for so, so long was finally get my hair done and get extensions at that! I recently moved to San Diego and picked Chelsea because she had 5 stars so I thought she'd be a pro. Her technique is good but unfortunately she didn't have a lot of hair colors and I relied on her to pick one that was the closest to my natural hair color and it was more of an ash brown and just totally wrong. I had called the salon asking for Rhiannon to cut my hair for the $70 price I saw on the website and the owner Chelsea said that she was not available but would cut my hair herself, so I made the appointment. After my haircut (cutting an inch of my thin, fine hair) and just blow drying it without styling, I was stunned to hear the total for my service before tip was $200. I understand you are the owner and you may believe you can charge whatever based off your "experience" but you need to disclose this over the phone, especially given it's almost 3x the amount that the other stylist charges. The hair looks great and I'm happy with my results, but based on my experience I will never be returning. Chelsea, you are losing out on repeat customers based on your inability to be upfront and transparent with your insane prices.
