This is a casual, family-friendly restaurant. Portions are LARGE here so be open to sharing . DH and I always order the roast chicken, rice, beans, and maduros (fried, sweet plantains) and we're stuffed afterwards. I have a sneaking suspicion the rice is sauteed in oil so if that's not your thing, speak up. The food is always fresh and well-seasoned and the spicy green sauce is absolutely addictive. I love the complimentary cup of toasted(?) corn kernels you get when you dine-in. The sangria, though strong, does not fruit in it :( Without sangria, dinner for two is roughly $20. Decent food with "pio pio style" green sauce. Good quality chicken fried rice or rotisserie chicken. Only negative thing is the awful service....they barely pay attention to you, take a long time to fill your take out order, the girls are too busy socializing to pay attention to customers if you are not a muscle man, and definitely not service with a smile. Their food is good. However, when you are placing large orders and spending so much money, they are extremely stingy with giving you an adequate amount of their green sauce. They treat their sauce like its worth the price of liquid gold. On several occasions, me and several of my family members have made large orders of over $200 worth. Usually 10 whole chickens or more. Today is 04/17/2017 I work down the block from millennium chicken and I wanted to treat myself out for dinner tonight, and in all honesty. I have never been a person that likes to eat takeout from restaurants because you never know what you're becoming to get but nevertheless I decide to take a chance and eat at this restaurant normally I order takeout from them for the people at my job quite often but today I decided to order food for myself and eat there while I wait for my boyfriend. I ordered the roasted chicken, white rice and beans which was fantastic. I practically finished the whole plate. But it was definitely too much for me to consume about 10 to 15 minutes afterwards I decided to walk to the counter so that I can pay for my food. I then reached in my purse to grab my money so that I can pay for my food and long behold, I see a roach crawling on the counter by the register. Honestly, I was really shocked. Then I say to the lady excuse me Ms I'm not trying to be rude, but you have a roach crawling on the counter by the register. She then pretends like she doesn't hear me well and says excuse me, I don't know what you're talking about. Then I say to her again, Ms you have a roach crawling on your counter by the register. Keep in mind that there's a plate of food right by the register. She then looks at and she says to me, I don't know what you're talking about again. Then I say it slower Ms you have a roach crawling on the counter by the register and it is a plate of food there next to it. Then she says where. Then I said looks, it's right there. She then kills it says I'm sorry about that. I was and still am beyond disgusted. This is one of the reasons I do not wish to eat out at restaurants you never know what you're going to get. This is the way I'm seeing it. If there's one roach there many. I will not eat here again. I am at a loss for words right now I just left the restaurant about 8:30pm 9 the latest. In all honesty this place shouldn't even get one star due to the fact they have roaches. They raised their prices, then they refused to serve you water when you sat down. You have to buy bottled water to have water with your food. Lately, they keep telling us that they won't buy avocados to put in their AVOCADO SALAD!!! They gave me the excuse that they are rotten and no good, that the price has gone up, etc. I keep buying avocados in the stores and get great fruit and the price is cheap. They charge you for things they don't give you, and many of the people in Elmont have a REAL attitude problem, in that they would rather argue with you than to give you what you paid for. We have eaten in this restaurant for years and will find some other place where you are treated with respect and appreciation, and not given some cock and bull story about why they refuse to serve you water OR avocado in the AVOCADO salad! read more

The first and last time I am going to order from this place. The food was horrible, pricey and small portions. I order a small chicken soup, a side order of Yuca and a Salchipapas. the soup was cold, ioly and had no meat plus the size was even smaller than the chinesse small soup. The yuca was cold and only 4 pieces and finally the Salchipapa was cold as well and the hot dog was re-fried from the day before I believe, fries were cold.
