My family and I have been coming here for years. We know all the staff personally. The food is very good. It's definitely not the best Thai food I've ever had, but still very good nonetheless. My favorite dish is the whole red snapper with basil sauce and rice. My favorite drink is the lychee martini. And the pepper sauce here is definitely spicy. I recommend coming during lunch hour. However I went here with a friend recently and we were pretty excited to eat again at our childhood restaurant. We ordered drunken noodles and sadly we both had to send it back. They don't use the regular wide flat noodles that drunken noodles is usually made with. They used something to similar to pad Thai noodles. But that's besides the point. It had very little basil and instead had a bunch of some other sort of green that had no flavor. It was overly spicy. Super dry noodles. So now I'm just sitting here with a mouth on fire. We tried out this place which was new for us. I ordered the seafood salad and chicken soup. I like that they labeled who's dish was who's (we ordered via DoorDash). I was happy with the seafood salad, and quite astounded with how much fish was in the order. The shrimp did still have their tails on and I did come across a shell in the mix of chomping on another piece of seafood. But, all and all, it's got a lovely spicy kick. I want to give a 4 I had some issues. The service needs work. Our server didn't check on us at all during dinner. (Okay 1x towards the end). We waited a while for dinner, as people came and went (take out order - 5) Including a group who came in to place a to go order and the came back for it before we got more than our appetizers. Honestly can't believe I never reviewed this place. I've been coming here for years, definitely my family's and I go to Thai spot. This place is super cozy. The service is amazing. Always attentive to customers and super friendly. Now let's get to the food. Amazing! Amazing! Amazing. I'm very picky with Thai food but hands down, I can devour their dishes satisfyingly. I used to frequent this place precovid for years. After last nights experience I'll never come back again. Watching them with hold my order because an I was short ONE PENNY on an almost $200 was disgusting. They pushed Us to use cash instead of credit card to save them on fees (which is actually a violation from visa, you can't penalize and up charge people for using a card in your establishment. but that's another topic). If they are cutting corners like this at the register I can only imagine what's happening in the kitchen. Food was mediocre very bland. Lacks consistency. I have frequented this restaurant in the past. At times the food was up to par. Nothing to brag about but satisfying as a neighborhood restaurant. Unfortunately that was not the case yesterday. We ordered ordered the following: Drunken noodles with chicken. Absolutely tasteless. I requested mild. One would have thought they rinsed the noodles in a strainer with water to achieve the (mild) request. Disappointed. Sticky rice was well, just sticky. No taste, no salt, just plain. I've had sticky rice at other thai restaurants where the rice was sweet and flavorful. Pork chops could have been used as a hockey puck! I can't recall what he ordered because this was actually years ago. I ordered the Maryland Crab Cake. If you know me then you know that I am a Crab Cake Junkie. That crab cake changed my life. So please note that I have never sat down to dine I always and only order the Crab Cake for take out. Anything less then $20 CASH ONLY and they do not accepts AmEx I repeat they do not accept AmEx. So this crab cake is delicious yes it's real crab meat dressed with wasabi and laid in a bed of lettuce cucumber and tomato. It's not breaded which makes it Phenomenal. You literally just can't have one. I always call ahead to order and the staff is always nice. From walking in it definitely clean and the restaurant itself is very cute. This is my neighborhood Thai place. There isn't another option that isn't at least 4 miles away. Because of this I think they are able to maintain their high cost. The food is great. It's fresh and the servings are decent. I try to stick to coming in for lunch and not dinner. The prices almost Triple for the dinner portions. It gets very crowded on a Friday and Saturday night so call ahead for your to go order. They also have a full bar but the drinks are hit or miss. I'm in here at least once every other week. They would see me more if they came down on the prices. read more

Seeda Thai Restaurant is a quaint little restaurant located on the left side of Central Ave as you turn off Merrick road in Valley Stream. Meter parking is available but it was after 9pm when a friend and I visited and we didn't "feed the meter", hell we were too hungry to think about feeding anyone but ourselves. The restaurant wasn't crowded and were were taken straight to our table. It's a nice spot for a small family dinner and couples. Or, come alone, they'll still feed ya. My friend and I were there to catch up with each other's lives. Well to compare dating notes if you will. The talk was so juicy the waitress had to return three times before we were actually ready to order. She was pretty cool about it and in fact it looks like she was enjoying our "notes" as much as we were. We eventually ordered (straight to entrée) we got: Red curry with coconut milk, bamboo shoots, fresh chili basil leaves and shrimp. And The Drunken noodle which is stir fried white flat noodle with chilli and basil leaves with shrimp and jasmine rice. I'm not a fan of spicy food so I got mild. Mind you, there's mild and very mild. I felt a baddie as I chose mild. The food tasted good. The portions were adequate and I even had food for the following day. Very good Thai food served here. I've been here several times in the past five years and always pleased with good and consistent food. I came here for lunch this week while I was in town for mainly enjoy sticky rice with mango desert. All the lunch food I had in the past has been very good but my favorite is their desert. Sticky sweet rice together with mango (seasonal) has just right amount of sweetness to it, perfect way to end good lunch. Their Thai iced tea is pretty good too. Seeda offers a warm and inviting dining experience. The hostess was friendly. The vicinity itself is small. I think a renovation should be in the works. It felt very Christmassy and we're in the month of October. I ordered curry puffs as my appetizer. Four came in total but were the size of a lighter. The dough was lacking something and the filling was gone after one bite. I couldn't taste anything. My entree consisted of the chicken massaman curry with brown rice. It was flavorful but just like the appetizer I ordered the portion was on the smaller side. Their drinks need a lot of work. Ordered the appetizer sampler, it came with chicken dumplings, fish cake, spring rolls and shrimp rolls; it was great! I love variety so this hit the spot. I ordered the beef drunken noodle which was good but I've had better. I would've preferred if the dish was spicier since that's what I'm used to. Also, my partner ordered a beef pad Thai. It was a little sweet, sweeter than we like it but it had good texture. If you don't like your pad Thai sweet, don't get it here. One of the best Thai restaurant I've been to. Parking was fairly easy and meter is still a quarter for 30min. My coworkers and I came here for lunch. We called in advance and told them what time we would be there and once we got there and seated, food came out within 5min and it was still hot. We ordered fried calamari as appetizer and got some lunch special. The brown rice was really good. It was very soft and cooked perfectly. The pad Thai was a little too sweet but, still not bad. The place gets really busy therefore, if you plan to come here for lunch, you should place your order in advance. Last time we came, food took 20min to come. My soda took a while to come but, when it came, we noticed they folded a cute rose on the straw. read more
