This was very disappointing, especially since I expected a new, accurately described item. I contacted customer service immediately. It took over six minutes to reach a live person. Anthony assisted me and was polite, but Rookie Kids' policies are unacceptable. I was asked to email photos of the defects, which I did. I was then asked whether I wanted a refund or replacement. I needed the shoes urgently, so I requested a replacement. Instead of promptly resolving the issue, I was told my request had to be reviewed and approved first. Only then would I receive a return label, after which I would have to ship the defective shoes back, wait for inspection, and then finally have a replacement shipped. This process is not ideal for a customer who already paid in good faith for a brand-new item. Most reputable companies will immediately ship a replacement and include a return label, with the understanding that if the damaged item is not returned, the customer will be charged. Rookie Kids' policy unfairly delays the resolution and leaves the customer without the product they purchased for far too long. Fast shipping means little when the product arrives defective and the company does not stand behind their merchandise with efficient, customer-friendly solutions.

Admitting, I am one of those who'd rather go online than go to a store to score stuff. But this is one of those rare occasions when online offers were priced completely ridiculous. Then I remembered this spot and remembered finding bargain buys for MJ stuff. Checked out their hours via Yelp and TADAH! Found myself in their store in no time. Parking is no issue - I found out right up front. It almost felt VIP. [Insert chuckle here.] They've done a little upgrade. The store looks a bit chicer and more modern. Tons of merchandise like the last visit. I got distracted for a few minutes (so many cool shoes!) but remained focused: I was here for socks and socks only! They had a bin of socks which I went through but couldn't find the specific ones I need. So, I asked a worker if they had any others. He guided me to a wall next to the cashier and BOOM: there they were, those specific ones I needed to get! And another great surprise: they were cheaper than anything I found online! (We're talking about at least 30% cheaper!) I walked around and found a lot of cool merchandise. Walked through the back and was told of the table with all items "on sale for 40% off." I found a couple of shoes, but even at 40%, it was still a little over my budget. They were so dang cool, though, I WANNNEETTT!!! They always come through at anytime I need anything Michael Jordan. I walked in as a professional DJ who is literally on her feet all day at weddings, corporate events, and everything in between, and walked out feeling like I had a full personal coaching and styling session. Marko was THAT guy. He took the time to actually understand my life, my needs, and my vibe before recommending a single thing. Sweat-friendly apparel? Check. The perfect shoe for 8-hour performance days on my feet? Nailed it. His attention to detail, humor, and genuine care made the whole experience feel less like shopping and more like being helped by a friend who happens to know everything about athletic footwear. This is my favorite running shoe, and I feel much lighter running in these than any other shoe! I ran in the shoe for the first time at the Abbott Kinney One, and they were one of the sponsors. Their booth had displays of shoes and also a fun booth (photo attached). Their store was super clean and had a variety of items, including socks and other accessories. The workers were helpful and we even shot a promo outside of the store. I think you get tremendous value for your buck, and it's definitely worth the purchase if you're on the fence!
