We got estimates from many companies specializing in kitchens and bathrooms. We opted to go with Miller & Sons Construction Group to do all our work. Avi and Tal were very flexible in working within our time-frame and completed the majority of the work while I was on a leave. Custom design, cabinets, back splash, paint, and counter-tops. We explained what we wanted and worked with them to find the best designs and solutions. We purchased new appliances, sinks, lighting, etc., and Avi worked them all into the overall design. Our house is older and we ran into issues found during the demolition. Tal helped us through the problems. And, went above and beyond to fix some structural issues while still keeping us within our budget as much as possible. We found working with Miller to be a very enjoyable experience. These folks take their work seriously and they strive for excellence. At the same time, working with them and communicating with them was a really pleasant experience. We asked them to do additional work, outside the original job, and they were able to get this done too. Another dimension of difficulty, all of this was done during the COVID-19 pandemic, before vaccines were available. Avi, Tal and the entire crew really care about doing quality work. You can see their goal is to make customers happy and do the best work they can within the budget. Also, our estimate, and cost adjustments, was always kept up to date. We always knew where we were financially during the entire process. I'd highly recommend Miller to anyone. And, if we choose to do more work on our home, they will be our first choice to contact. We used Miller & Sons to remodel our kitchen and we are very happy with our experience. We had never remodeled before and everyone was so helpful during the entire process. Avi was our designer and we loved him. He understood what we wanted and designed it exactly how we wanted it. All the materials he showed us fit into the aesthetic and price range that we were looking for. They didn't begin the project until all our materials had arrived and were in the warehouse, which we appreciated because there wasn't any lag time once the remodel began. The 5 week project took 7 months! There was no continuity between the various sub-contractors. 4 projects managers over the course of the project. Very sub-standard work. Do NOT agree to Synchrony deal for payment. Our agreement for project was $23K plus materials and fixtures. They were paid $35K by Synchrony. They owe us $6K. They have provided no invoices or receipt for materials (Tile, Countertop) or fixtures, after repeated requests. Had to file a claim with Synchrony. This was a nightmare. Promises made and not kept. We had requested the remainder of the slab that was unused (about 2/3) but couldn't find it. Because the floor tiler floated the tile too high, we now have a ramp into the bathroom, which posed a trip and fall hazard. Terrible customer service and workmanship. read more

In early December I began the process of choosing a general contractor to build a new master bathroom and to modify Another bathroom, build a new large closet and help me figure out the best way to create a new bedroom. I interviewed several really good general contractors. The Miller & Sons team made my decision an easy one! The first person I met was the field supervisor, Shay. Shay was clearly experienced, eager to understand what we want, and well organized. We walked the house and he came up with some good ideas I had not considered. Their estimate was very fair and he immediately suggested we visit a couple of their projects so we could talk with owners. So of course we took them up on the offer It was clear these clients were very happy with Miller & Sons. They had even expanded the scope of work before the first project was completed. Shay offered a no interest financing package that made it even easier to say yes. Once I signed they sent out the demolition team the next day. Then the work began. Their team of Dennis, Earl, and Phil came on time every day, worked hard, and cleaned up at end of each day! Earl and Phil work very well together and keep coming up with great ideas! Dennis steers the boat with pride! Jeline, works from their office Although I have not met her, she does a great job of contacting me regularly to ensure all is going well! I am still amazed at how much work they have already completed The building inspector will come today for first inspection. A few weeks ago the team was expanded. Candis was added quality control and has been a great addition. This is a "to be continued" review but I can say at this point, i am already talking with Shay about adding more work to the scope of our project! I highly recommend Miller & Sons! read more

I have worked with Avi several times and everytime it has been a pleasure. From beginning to end he's involved and that is a huge plus! The whole project from start to finish took just 3.5 weeks. Typical working day would start around 8am with the guys working till approximately 4:30-5:00. Everyone working on our property was very friendly and you could tell by the care shown that these guys really put passion into what they do. The owner Avi was on site almost everyday and did a great job coordinating all the various vendors. He was there to answer many of our questions and If he doesn't know the answer right away he comes back with enough research to write a thesis on it. Thats how detailed he is with craftsmanship to back it up. They finished 2 days ahead of the approximate competition date which we were thrilled about. If I could give Avi and his excellent crew more than 5 stars I would! Avi is a rare contractor that did an incredible job for me and my family. We started with one bathroom remodel and the result was so fantastic, we decided to remodel every bathroom in the house, paint the entire interior, install a tankless water heater, remodel the garage, install new lighting in all the hallways, dining room and the kitchen and replace all the flooring. What started out as a one bathroom job ended up in a complete remodel of the interior of the house. We got to know Avi and his crew very well and they became like family to us. They came on time every day, completed the project with professionalism and cleaned up every day as well. Bottom line, I could not have chosen a better contractor or crew. What I liked the most was the personalized service. We had almost no experience in remodeling and Avi personally took us to vendors to choose tile, paint and other essential items. Whenever something was not exactly to our liking, they bent over backwards to make it right as quickly as possible. My husband and I played a key role in assisting my in-laws in the entire process of their home remodel. The main reason is because they aren't as technically savvy or aware of the many resources available out there that provide information and feedback on services and/or companies that everyone in the world uses. We interviewed several contractors and design/build firms before making our final decision. After much research, we decided on Miller & Sons Construction Group and used them for their whole home remodel from December 2020 to April 2021. They sold us on their documentation process and step-by-step approach. Everyone we worked with (the designers, the carpenter, production supervisor, office staff) were all so friendly, competent and professional. My in-laws were so impressed as to how painless the entire process was given the fact that they had to remodel the whole house while living in it. (This was one of my mother-in-law's greatest concerns.) The team at Miller's went to great lengths to accommodate them while living in a work site, including zip walls galore, a make-shift kitchen setup, scheduling, and daily clean-up. The designers listened to what they wanted to achieve and turned the vision that they had in their heads into a real design plan and reality. The lead carpenter cared for their old 1904 home like his own, and perfectly blended the old and the new. His attention to detail and craftmanship were inspiring, and the results are amazing. Billing was straightforward and transparent, and any change orders that were done were all fair. They (and we) love their new old home! Miller& Sons completely renovated two,of our bathrooms. One bathroom was completed & the master had been demoed-when our four yr.old granddaughter became seriously ill. Not the C-Virus, still during a pandemic she had to be air lifted to a children's hospital in Boston. It was a long eight weeks before we knew she'd survive. When the remodel resumed an error was made with the tile, the entire bathroom had be demoed again. Danny Cohen, was honest with us, he kept his word making it right. My husband & I appreciate the teams perspective each conversations began with "How's Lily?", they didn't know her yet prayed for her. Miller and Sons Construction was the only company to send out a representative to do the estimate on Easter Sunday! The project coordinator and the office manager walked us thru the renovation plan and options. Work on the project is still on-going. The uneven tile floor had to go, and the electrical wiring had to be completely redone, not to mention the plumbing, as they even installed a new tankless water heater for us, Whenever anything comes up, we can easily contact their office, and they promptly respond to address our concerns. Even after we met for initial planning and consultation, they consistently asked me questions to make sure they understood my opinion on what I wanted done while still providing me with the knowledge and practicality of my opinions so that the bathroom not only looked and functioned the way I wanted, but made the bathroom the most it could be by making suggestions that I wouldn't have thought of. The work was 3 weeks which is an amazingly short timeframe in my eyes. The materials and workmanship are excellent. This is just a review on the initial meetings and phone calls so far. So my fiance and I bought a house in Orange CA (6 months ago) and we met with over 5 contractors so far. Some of the contractors we met with were referred to us by friends and the other were ones we found on yelp. Days went by when we met up with these contractors and we were waiting for quotes, so we decided to look at places that can give us an idea so we met with Avi the very next day to talk about few options. We liked what we heard and got a quote the very next day after meeting with him. I love how responsive and helpful he has been, but not only that, their pricing is very reasonable/competitive compared to other contractors in California. Avi and his team have been nothing but helpful, reasonable, responsive, and professional throughout the beginning process and I can't thank them enough.
