Once date was set they showed up on time ready to work. Tear down went smoothly. Staff was friendly, they cleaned up daily. Staff putting on roof did a great job also. Problem we had was with communication with salesman and project manager. We were charged more than quoted. They ended up splitting the difference. They also had to replace facia board in the front of our house . They took down 2 x 10 and replaced with 2 x 8 and said they told us that and they did not say they were replacing it with smaller size. When project was done and city came to approve we noticed they put the vent we wanted on our garage on roof and wanted us to pay 75.00 more to fix their mistake (which was on the paper work we signed). They would not budge on this stating they already gave us a discount on the over price for the wood. The roof looks good. I would just get everything in writing even the wood needed and sizes along with cost. As they just tell you what is needed and then when it doesn't match what was told. I was very satisfied with the quality job they did on our roof and at a fair price. As far as materials go, they offered many different companies and colors to choose from. Once we nailed down a start date (rainy season) the roof was literally torn off and replaced in three days, while cleaning up all mess that was made. I would recommend this company. TIP: Read your contact closely for they will have a detailed list of possible costs for any unforeseen damage. Don't believe a word this Hogan character says. Nothing but obfuscation. One of the worst people I've ever dealt with. It also wouldn't surprise me if some of these positive reviews were BS, because the tone he takes to respond to my messaging here reminds me of how manipulative he actually is. Paraphrasing; "Oh I've never even heard of this person before"; and, "Of course I'm available to work things out now that you're actually affecting my business." Lastly on this, it's shocking to me this guy doesn't remember the job considering some of the details I put in the review, make me shudder to think how he treated me is so normal for him it's business as usual and completely unforgettable. Read my other review of Absolute for more details on how this guy will ABSOLUT-ly try and screw you over. Also, if you're wondering as to the veracity of my claims, I understand you don't know me and I'm just some random yelper, read some of my other reviews of other businesses, and you'll see I don't just go around trashing people. No communication whatsoever - flaky! As a referral, I called this roofer last week to set up an appointment to quote on two roof leaks at my home. I spoke to Jesus and he told me he would come by this week on Tuesday afternoon around 3:30/4:00 PM and to text him my address, so I did. I called him back Tuesday morning to confirm our appointment, but no response so I left a message. I texted him as well, but no response. I called again that afternoon, but no response. It's now Friday and still no response. I hired someone else to do the job who is reliable. I would not use any company for repairs that does not even have the courtesy to call or text back. Very flaky operation. I will be letting the company know who referred me to this roofer. read more

Hogan was great to work with from beginning to end. We had six cottage style buildings roofed and all went well in terms of scheduling and workmanship. We did have a delay due to rain, but the crew went out and proactively covered everything with plastic. The roofing crew went the extra mile and painted the facia board (I supplied the paint). We had lots of wood damage that required replacing a large number of rafters, which resulted in higher cost, but it was justified and Hogan kept the extra cost to a minimum. The crew actually had me come out onsite to review the additional rafter work. All in all, the results were good and the customer service was good as well. I can't believe I forgot to praise Absolut Roofing when they replaced my roof back in 2017! The team did a great job! The whole process was well-coordinated, all my questions were answered promptly (and boy did I ask a bunch), and working with David was a pleasure. Fast forward to 2022, and it's still great service! I had a very strange leak occur in my garage. (Not consistent at all.). I called Absolut again, and David came right out to take a look. This was by far the best experience I've ever had with a contractor. I paid a little extra to go with these guys because a friend of mine in the construction business told me they were great. He was right. Jesus was the job foreman and I couldn't have been any happier. There was some discovery work which increase the bill a little but I was expecting that. You never know what you're going to find until the old roof is removed. After the job is complete and I was satisfied, they collected payment. They never asked for any money upfront or during the job. After the job is complete and paid, I text Jesus to ask him what paint color they used on my flashings because my neighbor wanted to know so he could paint his. Jesus brought two cans of paint over at no charge so my neighbor could paint his. WOW. That's customer care. He wasn't even a customer lol. I will recommend this company to anyone I know. read more

Brian Young came out to give me a quote, gave me samples of tiles and had always responded promptly to my texts & email inquiries -- I would give him an A++ as I was very picky about the color I wanted. He came to my home few+ times and I finally decided to show him color I wanted and he brought me more samples that closely matched what I visually showed him. Brian's customer service was excellent! Also, Jesus was the project manager once they began the new roof and he was great as well -- he was very polite and made sure workers replaced additional facia wood that I felt workers had missed. he was a pleasure to work with as well. Before we bought our HB cottage last July, our seller hired Absolut Roofing to put a new roof on the house and to seal what was a DIY roof-deck over the garage. Sweet. New roof. Not so fast. After the rains came this December, it became clear that the garage was not sealed. The ceiling leaks in at least three places, dumping rain water onto our new epoxy floor, fresh drywall and new cabinets. After many many many messages left, Absolut sent someone out to take a look, who told us that the leaking was being caused by the fact that there is a high railing around the roof deck. Huh? He said he could prove it by flooding the deck. When we told him to have at it, of course, he didn't have the right tools. Not sure what you need besides a hose, but okay. It has now been another month of leaving messages with no call back, no demonstrative flooding, and we appear to be stuck with a leaky roof. We have even had our seller's agent try reaching out to the owner but to no avail. Absolut Roofing - if your avoidance is purposeful, you should be ashamed of yourself. If you just have terrible customer service, I'm honestly not sure how you're still in business. read more

I had a horrible experience with Absolut Roofing. They were supposed to be taking care of the roof in our condo. When I found mold in the wall that was caused by a leak in the roof, Hogan blew me off in a group e-mail, stating "I had one of my best guys there and he does not think there is a roof leak in this apt." He went on to say that the roof could use a good maintenance, but that he could not warranty anything and that it would likely not make a difference for me. A roof leak was subsequently found and Absolut just threw some roofing material with tar up there and had to come back to fix it because they did not pull a permit and had multiple areas that were not sealed. read more

We used them to fix a small leak a month ago and after replacing underlay, it leaked at the same spot. Dave did not even come into the house to check where it leaked again. He said that we need to replace whole underlays of the entire roof because our roof's underlays are old and the water came from the break somewhere in the old underlay. He has not even checked where it leaked at this point and how does he know? Leaked spot is exactly the same spot where they replaced them several feet above, below, and both sides. There is no sign of leak above old leak, only from there directly below. He said that they will look at the leaked spot if they come back after we give them a new job to replace entire underlays. This means they will not do anything, even to check on the work they did. Protect yourself. read more

This company installed a roof for me in 2006. The owner and salesman, Hogan, verbally assured us we would have a 25-year warranty -- on a very expensive roof, I might add. Well, 13 years later the roof leaks, a two man crew came to repair it, video cameras showed they spent 35 minutes on the job and left. The roof still leaks, they invoiced me $500.00 ($1,000 per hour), and now they don't return calls. We better hear from them soon or we will be seeing them in Small Claims Court. read more

This company sold us a bill of goods. They sold us a roofing material with a 40-year guarantee. They used a very bad vendor who went out of business after 13 years, and now Absolut says they don't want to fix the roof they installed because the materials are defective and hard to work on. "Call another roofing company," says the owner. Nice trick, huh? Promise the client a loooong warrantee on the product, then bail on the client after ten years labor warrantee term, leaving a bad product installed. Wow! Buyer beware! read more

Can`t fault them from start to finish. We bought a house recently and as part of the purchase contract some roof repairs were supposed to be done. When we moved in we soon realized that, not only had they not been done, but a significant amount of additional damage had occured when they tented the property too. As one of the roofing guys said, "Hey, lady! You have party on roof?!?!" I contacted the sellers agent and they had requested an estimate from Absolut, but the work had inadvertently never been commissioned. I spoke to Dave who confirmed this and said they were still waiting on furter instructions. Between our agent and the sellers agent, Dave came out to do a further estimate on all the additional damage since his last visit, and explained to me in detail exactly how it had happened and why (in a nutshell, imbeciles stomping all over lightweight concrete tiles with no clue how to walk on a roof!) He explained how the roof had been replaced approx 10 years previously, why they had used these particular type of tile, and pointed out the evidence that they had done a good job, but recommended a few extra bits that could be done just to add some extra longevity to the roof. I am especially grateful that I got a call on Monday this week, and they arranged to come and get all the repairs done the following day. We are forecast a lot of rain later this week, and my heart was sinking at the thought of further damage through water leaks. I am assuming they have done a brilliant job. I can`t honestly get up there to check because as soon as I go up more than 6 feet off the ground I get an undescribable urge to gnaw on my own limbs in panic(!) but a peak out the window shows not one visible broken tile, and the guys did the job quickly and efficiently.
