I will never take may car here again. I took my car in for some general maintenance. One of the things I asked them to do was to replace both headlights. They charged me over $300 for both. Less than a year later one light is not working again. They are now telling me that the warranty on the headlights is 90 days. First of all, I will never bring a car to Miller Auto Care for any reason after too many issues with them. I made an appointment to have Miller go through a list of things that i wanted done or checked for a new purchase of a classic car. I was told to wait 3 weeks before bringing it in, and to buy a car cover. After waiting 3 weeks, my car sat in their lot for 4 weeks before Miller began working on it. That was irritating, because I could have been enjoying my car for those 4 weeks instead of watching it sit in the lot. Once the car was in for service, I thought that it would be kept in the garage,. but was I wrong. I drove by Miller's shop one Sunday, and my car was sitting on the north side, in the rain without my cover on it. That was aggravating, so I drove around the building to look at it on a Sunday, and my doors were not locked, and another classic car next to mine was also sitting within feet of the road unlocked. That was totally irresponsible!!! My biggest gripe after the wait, was that Miller's mechanic who worked on my car did not check his work. I had a new windshield wiper control module installed, and when I pressed the washer button it worked. The, when I just turned on the wipers, the pump was spraying water on the windshield. I immediately returned to the shop and the owner determined that it was a defective module. The work was not checked!! My fuel gauge did not work correctly, and the shop told me that i had a leaky gasket on top of the gas tank that at attached to my gasoline sending unit, so they changed out the level sensor and installed a new gasket. I took off with the car with my fuel gauge registering a nearly full tank, but 70 miles down the road, the engine shut off with my fuel gauge showing that i had a 3/4 full tank. I called the shop and was asked if I had gasoline in the tank, and I replied that my gauge was showing 3/4 full. The technician who I was speaking with told me that Miller Auto always checks the calibration of the float sensors when they change them. Apparently, once again, the technician who worked on my car did NOT check his work. Fortunately for me, the man who owned the home where my car shut down gave me a 5 gallon tank of gas. The engine fired, and I went directly to a gas station. I called Miller back to let them know That I would be returning my car to them that day. The technician waited an extra half hour for me after closing hours. I have not taken the car to another auto repair shop to actually calibrate the sensor. One of the items that i asked Miller to do when I dropped it off the first time, was to change all of the fluids. When I got my first car back, it overheated, and when I checked my radiator, all that it contained in the cooling system was water, and no anti freeze. My cars, when not being driven are always kept in a heated and air conditioned garage, and luckily it was not kept outdoors during winter weather. While my first car was at Miller, before I got it back from them, I took a second vehicle (also an older car) to them to adjust the windows to fit tighter. The second car sat in the lot for 3 weeks before they began working on it. After 2 weeks, I picked up the car, and the "experts" at miller did not know how to adjust the door glass to make it seal properly. I had high hopes for Miller, but now I cannot recommend that anyone wanting to have a classic car worked on use them. It was the most disappointing experience I have ever had with a repair shop! Businesses are only as good as the person working on your vehicle, and my mechanic was less than competent, careless and irresponsible. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. They are not competent mechanics and will rob you of your time and money. It took 17 days for my car to get looked at and they raised their estimated quote by an addition $230 when they finally looked at it and tried to charge $600 for something that was not fixed. Now for the facts. April 13th- Dropped off car around 8 AM. Said they would look at it by April 19th. Original quote of $600-700 April 19th- No update on the car. April 20th- 8:41 AM- No call from the company with an update, I call them and they confirm what I already had diagnosed at another mechanic shop who couldn't fix it due to lack of tools. After confirming the water pump was broke they raised their quote by $130-230 to $830 to fix. Told at this time car would be fixed by April 22nd. April 22nd - 4:56 PM- No update. I call them and was told it couldn't be fixed until Friday, April 23rd, or Monday, April 26th. April 23rd- No update. April 26th- 1:39 PM- I call to check on the car. The company admits they haven't even looked at my car. My car has sat in their parking lot now for 14 days (10 business days) and they are 4 days late past their estimated fix time. April 27th- 1:04 PM- No update from the company. I have to call them again. I call and they're on lunch and said they would call me back. 3:30 PM- 15 days after dropping my car off I get my first update that the water pump is seized and it won't be done for another few days. April 28th- No update April 29th- 9:44 AM- 17 days after dropping my car off, they call to tell me they can't get the pump off and have to replace the entire timing system to replace the water pump with a quote of $2300. The car is not worth that much so I decline and tell them to not fix it. They take my car out of the bay and put them all in the back of my trunk (see attached pictures). 10:27 AM- I call to ask when I can pick my car up and how much it would cost and they said they would have it out of the bay soon and call me with a quote. 4:02 PM - 5.5 hours later I call them less than an hour before their shop closes and they respond with "oh yeah, I can ask the girl upfront to call you with a quote." 4:28 PM- I finally get a quote to pick up the unfixed and disassembled car FOR $634. They reported they spent "14 hours of work on the water pump" over a 2 day period when their shop is open from 7:45 AM to 5 PM. The average time to fix a water pump is 3-4 hours (sources below), and the average cost to fix a water pump is $461-730 (sources below). I think I've made my case as to why their mechanics are incompetent if they are "reportedly" spending 4 times the amount of time to fix a water pump after not looking at my car for 17 days. Based on the timeline, this would also mean that they spent from Tuesday, April 27 at 3:30 until Thursday, April 29th trying to get the seized pump off. Any competent mechanic would've stopped way before this and realized it was a lost cause and called the customer. Any competent mechanic wouldn't have needed to completely disassemble the engine and take off parts completely unrelated to the job (see pictures attached for everything they took apart and placed in my trunk). In part I agree with Steve G's review of Aug 2, 2025. Staff were personable, but the degree of care expected for storage while awaiting work is pitiful. All cars not being worked on set outside unprotected, unless you provide a car cover, which is far less than anywhere you'd store it yourself. Mine sat as such there for 14 months. They did nice work on replacing door glass and installing a power steering system. But, while they were good about trailering the car to Ft Wayne in cold weather (where I'd moved in the meantime) the ignition lock broke on their newly-installed tilt wheel when first getting the car home from them. So, they had to come and fix it in my garage. Also, I hd a pro detailing shop buff my car before it went to Miller. That shop said the paint was perfect. Getting it back after the mechanic work, numerous cracks appeared from what had to be its year-plus of unprotected all-weather immersion outdoors. Although they blamed it on 'previous product' failure, a talk with the paint detailer did convinced them to repaint the biggest crack on the driver door. Other hairline fender cracks I still need to get fixed elsewhere. read more

Miller replaced a faulty Oil Pressure Sending unit on my vehicle. Subsequent to it I discovered a slow leak an brought it back to have it looked at. Unfortunately the diagnosis was a leaky head gasket and probably not worth repairing. They just advised me to live with it which is probably the best advice and keep monitoring. They were super as they spent some time cleaning the engine so they could locate the leak and in the end charged nothing for the service. Many thanks to Neil for his advice to just live with it and it should be fine for a while. read more

I have used Miller for years for all of our many vehicles and they are always reliable, informative and thorough. They always call a week or two after they work on my vehicle to check in and make sure everything is still going well...unheard of customer care in this day and age! Will not being going here again my lifetime. Dropped my car off for a new upper oil pan was told it'll take 2-3 days... they didn't even start on it until 5 days after we dropped it off. When they finished the car they said they took it on a test drive and when they came back it wouldn't start.. they tried to charge us 100 dollars an hour for a problem they caused to diagnose it... you think when you spent over 2 thousand dollars these guys would be way better but they aren't! spend the extra few hundred to go to a trusted shop. you won't regret it!! these guys are slobs read more

I don't think many people have the issues i have had with Miller, as this shop was recommended to me by several people and just by driving in their parking lot, you can tell they work on really nice cars. The owner and his daughter (front desk help) are very nice people and the shop is a nice, clean and pretty big. That's about all the positives i have, i made an appointment in june for a transmission leak and i had them check my starter in my 79' corvette. They fixed the leaks supposedly, and also installed a new starter. This took two weeks. While they had my car the scratched the car up pretty good on my passenger door, and when i got home my transmission was still leaking. The owner agreed to fix the door and the leaks. They found a new leak and and an old lead was repaired under warranty and i had to pay for the new leak no big deal. The new leak too over a week and a half to fix and the car was then in the paint shop for nearly 4 weeks. I understand the body shop is busy but after damaging my car you would think they would want to put a rush on the fix. Get my car back from the body shop and the transmission is still leaking. Take it back to them and it takes another week in a half to figure out what's going on, after three trips into the shop to fix my transmission they tell me it's leaking from the front transmission and quote me at 2000 to fix it. Not sure how it took them three tries to figure that out, long story short they had my car for over 2 months, damaged the paint, and my transmission now leaks worse than before i originally brought it in. Never once was i offered any kind of discount or anything for my troubles, I've spent almost $150 on Ubers to and from the shop. They also never had an urgency to fix my car. I understand they are very busy and a high volume shop but if a customer is bringing you the car back to fix work that was suppose to be, you would think they would put some urgency into the repairs. Again, the owner and his daughter are very nice and i think i just had a one off experience but it has still left a very bitter taste in my mouth esp after paying almost 800 for a transmission repair and it's still leaking read more

I HATE THESE PEOPLE NOW!!! went In for a regular alignment today and this guy with a name tag saying Carlos gets in my car and drives off without telling me anything. I then go inside to tell the sales rep (sister of the manager) that I just got a new turbo in that this car can't be boosted because it hasn't gotten tuned just yet.she tells me that she hopes he won't and that he shouldn't . BAM! 5-10 min later the guy comes back pushing my car and claims that it just randomly turned off on him and that he was only driving 20mph.car wouldn't turn on anymore. I called bs on him because I heard how he took off in my car. Supposedly out of nowhere he's a tuner who has built x amount of 2jz's. He tried to tell me that the probably thing was that my tune disappeared. Luckily my friend laz was able to come and fix the problem. I swear about 6 mechanics from this shop were looking at my car and had no clue what to do.turns out that apparently he boosted it too much or something and a hose popped out which is pretty weird. What pissed me off the most is that afterwards,the manager tells me that he is very embarrassed but that I should go get an alignment somewhere else because he doesn't wanna risk anything happening to my car.i was so pissed I just left but oh man I wish I would've told him a thing or too... read more

Avoid this place like the plague. they had my vehicle for four months after they broke a glow plug off in the head and charged me $3200 for their miss diagnosis and crappy repair now it drives worse than when I took it in. they refuse to do anymore work to it for fear that something else may go wrong. Very disappointed. They said I needed a new pump. I had 2 other mechanics check it out. Not only did I not need one (their estimate-5hours labor,$800+), but it could be done for half that if I needed one whch I did not. This shop decided to install a starter on our car that only had a 2 year warranty and the starter now went bad after 3 years. We were not given a choice to install a different brand of a starter and 99% of them have a lifetime warranty. Went in for a simple mount install that I dont have a specific jack for. Did not really want to do it upside down aswell. Left instructions to put antiseize on bottom of transmission (to prevent galling) and loctite bolts, in which both were disreguarded. A 20-30 min job was charged for an hours worth of work. Im sure there are good mechanics here but they rush through things and are almost as high as a dealer without same quality. Bumped up rating because they are friendly. Brought a GM car in for diagnosis of a dash light on (ABS/TRAC). Was told that rear hub/bearing assy, replacement would fix it. Paid $455 to replace and dash lights went on 20 miles after rear hub replacement. Brought it in again, and they said "oh, it's really the front hub that's the cause." Very poor diagnostic skills, cannot recommend to stay away enough. read more

I discovered Miller Auto Care a few years ago, when I sent out a note to a group of colleagues asking for recommendations for where to take my car to be serviced. I knew this group would reply, and with terrific, insightful advice. They live in various areas of the city, though, so I received differing suggestions and not all locations were practical for me. Only one business was recommended by more than one person in the group. Miller Auto Care. It isn't near me, but it was highly recommended and is within a manageable distance (and, I found, it is near cafes and restaurants where I can have lunch and work on my laptop while I wait). I called them as well as a couple of the others, to compare quotes, and their estimate was the lowest. I don't want to invest more in my car than necessary -- but I want to be smart, and safe, and I feel that I can trust them to help me strike this balance.
