Bob's garage, are they for real? The answer is yes, they are by far one of the best all around automotive service centers in Indiana and all of the surrounding areas. I highly recommend them, and I don't say that very often at all. But they are honest and let you know exactly what is wrong with your vehicle and will give you an estimate of how much it will cost to fix and how long it will take. And be right on point. Have frequently taken our cars to Bob's. They have been great at estimating cost,and time as well as telling what is needed versus what can wait for awhile, (great for people on tight budgets.) The facilities are excellent and the customer can see their car being worked on regardless of where it is in the shop. One of the few auto repair locations I have used in which I have felt demonstrated integrity and honesty. Had repairs to my sons car done. Paid over 3K . The car after a week started having the same issues. A couple weeks later we take it in they make an adjustment.... A couple weeks later the car starts to act up again. 3rd time taking it to them they call me stating my son is hard on his car and they need another 900.00 dollars to make more repairs.... I know nothing about cars. Throughout the process they were really helpful and were able to get me in and out which means a lot being that I had a time frame. *Note to add* they told me to drop the car off early and I dropped it off past noon and they still worked with me to ensure I got my car back that day. The only thing I would say is that it seems like your paying more for the mechanics time...it was high but, because service was great it was acceptable especially if the problem is fixed without being more problems on top of another.... read more

My son and I were in town for a baseball tournament when my car started having issues. My husband had recently done some work on it, so he thought maybe something was loose from that work. We took it to Bob's, and they were very friendly and honest from the start. It was a loose bolt and they charged us $57. We won't take our cars anywhere else! They AWLAYS make room to fit us in if something is going on with either of our vehicles or if we just need a simple oil change (most of the time they get us in the same day we call). Super easy to deal with & they call us BEFORE doing any talked about work that needs to be done. Very great at communicating with about any issues or work that needs to be done! Wonderful service! Great waiting room if you have kiddos, there are toys, tv, water, and a CLEAN restroom! I recently took my vehicle in for a slow leaking drivers side front tire. I was told it had a nail in it, they patched the hole, and charged me around $27. The tire continued to have the same leak. I took it to Disccount Tires instead and found that the nails were left in the tires, 2 of them. I had doubts about Bob's before but now with this I will NEVER have ANY of my vehicles serviced here again and recommend you not fo so either. I went to Bob's because everybody in my neighborhood said they were great, super honest etc. I needed routine maintenance and while I may be an ass for not asking specific prices I did not expect to be ripped off. When I got home and looked at what I had been charged I was shocked. Hey charged me $72 to rotate four tires. They also charged me $2 per wheel weight with the balance which is unheard of. Not the biggest deal but they changed my wiper blades without asking me. I should add in female and single- so I guess that's who they choose to rip off. I really don't get it. Is the bit of extra cash worth losing a potential regular customer? I guess the answer is yes. read more

My wife's car was having an issue. No AC and windows fogging up. I called and made an appointment for Friday at 4. The lady on the phone was very nice and seemed very happy that I had chosen Bob's for repair work. When I arrived I only wanted a diagnosis and estimate to budget. Figured it was going to be a costly repair. They were very thorough and quick and ended up doing the repair and I got out of there for a reasonable price! It seemed like everyone that walked through the door either knew Bob or knew the receptionist (or as her name tag states:CEO). They each stayed a while and shot the breeze. I like this place.... You will never need another mechanic. These guys are as honest and amazing as it gets. They show you the parts they take out, and explain in painstaking detail any issues that arise; they explained that I don't need certain services (fuel injector cleaning) that other shops have happily preyed on me for. They update me on the wear to my breaks each time. Every time I leave I am shocked (in a great way) about the reasonable price. They have even send me to OTHER shops, on certain items (new tires) because they don't feel they are competitive enough on price! Seriously!? When you see the gorgeous cars inside you will know they are trusted by many. But, they treat me and my 2000 Toyota, just as if we are one of the family. They even offer pick up/drop off service, as I only have one car, for no extra charge. With 186K miles, I am SO thankful I found Bob and his team!! read more

GREAT service! I slid into a stopped car a month ago and broke a few pieces that hold my front bumper properly. I finally gave in and had it fixed this morning. I expected to need to pay to order all new parts. Instead for $57 and an hour of my time, everything is repaired. Very honest and friendly people. We use Bobs for all of our repairs. They are friendly and Bob himself will talk to you. They will not talk you into an unnecessary repair. Their prices are very competitive and I believe a bit lower than these in and out joints like Car X and Tires plus. I'd recommend them if you want honesty without getting ripped off. read more

I went to this place and for minor things, it was a good experience. However, they really screwed me on an A/C repair. They diagnosed it as needing a new compressor without any investigation. That was $800. Less than 8 hours later, my A/C was again not working. This time, they said it was the condenser and would cost an additional $500. When I pressed them as to why that wasn't discovered when they worked on it the first time, I received a lot of double-speak and no satisfactory answer nor resolution to the controversy. If you need an oil change, they're fine. Something more serious? I'd try another route. read more

This place has earned my business. Had my truck at CarX and they told me $1700 repair needed to be done. Called to ask some car advice, and spoke to Bob himself who told me to bring it over so he could look at it. Took it over there and guess what my air ride suspension relay had simply become unplugged....literally that was it. He refused to let me pay him. It's so hard to find an honest mechanic these days! Glad I found one! He could have easily taken advantage of me and repeated what I had already been told, but instead he helped me out! Outstanding. read more

When we need some work done one of our cars we conveniently drop our cars off in the evening after business hours, and usually receive a phone call first thing the next morning with a diagnosis and quote. Took the car in and asked for an estimate. Was not told there would be any fee. When we decided to not get the car repaired there due to the high estimate, they wouldn't let us have our car, unless we paid a $47 diagnostic fee (for hooking a machine to the battery). When I asked why we weren't told ahead of time there would be a diagnostic fee (several in the town offer free diagnostics), we were told "you didn't ask". Took my car there many times. Last time I took my car there I had all new suspension on and ask for an alignment and to check all shock bolts were tight. First off I was charged double for a hack job custom front alignment (which I found out later destroyed my chamber plates). I ask the tech if he checked the bolts and made sure they were tight and he said yes. One week later a shock bolt fell out and I took my car to another shop that told me the bolt was never tight. Also the double price alignment Bob charged was so far out of spec it I could've ruined my tires. Very poor business ethics and too expensive. read more

I recently moved to the Westfield area from Carmel, and my Audi needed some work. I was tired of paying an arm and a leg at the specialty Euro shops so I gave Bob's a try. They fixed my car quick and for significantly less than I would have paid elsewhere. They were also extremely friendly and professional.
