We had some windows that had blown seals and gotten water etched so e called Miller Glass to give us a quote to replace them. They were fast and efficient and we are very happy with their work. The technician found dry rot on one of the frames so he took the new panels back to the store until we could get our contractor to fix it. It took a couple of weeks to get the repair done and Miller Glass came back out right away and installed the new windows. We are very happy with the results and highly appreciate the fast, courteous service we received. We highly recommend them for any window work you may have! read more

If you're going to build or remolding don't use this company unless you want problems from getting the wrong products to istallation of the wrong products and then starting over and trying to contact the sales person which is a joke. I had a ding in my windshield repaired here, it was a pretty big one and also deep. They did a wonderful job patching it up (I don't know the correct terminology on all this) and though it's still a tiny bit noticeable, it looks great and I can see it was done well. Someone burglarized my Honda Civic by smashing in the passenger's side window. We called Miller Glass right away and they were able to get the window by the next day and have it installed. They were also able to store my vehicle inside so it was safe and protected from rain (was raining when this happened). The window was fixed and I had my car back in 36 hrs from when it happened. I wrote a very negative review about a month ago and realized it was the Paradise Store with whom I dealt. Since then, I have been contacted by Jim, co-owner at the Chico Miller Glass, who had not known about the previous service in Paradise. He very much wanted to "make things right". He came the next day (on a Friday) to inspect our shower situation, and by the following Wednesday, sent in two extremely competent, polite men who worked for over an hour and FIXED OUR SHOWER!!!!! Although it took a week for someone to call me back to schedule an estimate, I was pleased with my in-person interaction with Jim. He was professional, knowledgeable, kind, insightful, and thoughtful. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. I appreciate that he was not condescending and that he used inclusive language, making no assumptions about me or my family. Unfortunately, another disappointing experience. I called ahead to get a part and was told that they had the part. Maybe I mis-spoke, but when I got there, I was told they didn't have the part and would have to order it. I can do that myself through Amazon, thank you very much. Luckily, a search of the warehouse turned up the part I wanted- at a higher price than I was quoted over the phone. And more than the price on Amazon (including shipping and handling). I ended up buying the piece because I didn't want to wait, but it seemed like the lady helping me couldn't care less about listening to me at first. She seemed to warm up, but man, I dread walking into Miller... I have yet to have a great experience here. 2 stars given because they DID ending up having a replacement part for what I needed. Edit: I just received a call from the owner to discuss this review. He was non-confrontational and simply wanted to say that he was sorry that I didn't have the experience that he wanted all of his customers to have. I am impressed. Based on this level of attention and customer service, I'd go back. I have NO problem paying more for a part at a brick and mortar if they have great customer service, and I'm upping my rating to 4 stars. Bravo Miller. read more

Really disappointed with whole process. Just a simple table top but the estimator argued with me about details. Then miller glass took a week to put the simple work order together. I had to call 3 times over 6 business days to get an answer. Really poor business practice. Ultimately I took the job to Lash's Glass instead for much better service and price. After a stray rock broke a window in our beautiful front door, and we were told by the door seller that the window could not be repaired, we called Miller Glass. For an extremely reasonable price, a new piece of glass was ordered and, a week later, installed by the very talented and knowledgeable Steve. Not only did he not break the other 2 panes of glass (as the man who gave us an estimate warned could happen) but he was able to remove the trim and replace it with such minimal stress to the pieces that you'd have to KNOW the window was broken and replaced to notice the small blemishes left by the repairs. We have use Miller Glass many times in the past, mainly for screens and car glass, and they have ALWAYS exceeded our expectations both on price and quality of service! Thank you! read more

Went and had three window screens replaced for our new home. $45 for all three. They offer free mobile windshield replacement in Chico. I love that option. Sales floor was clean and filled with different uses for glass like shower doors, sliding doors, etc. they seem busy (phone), but we're very helpful and kind. read more

55$ to measure a screen size, and another 55$ for two screens. It took almost two weeks and they forgot to mention they would charge 55$ for "measurement service" until the service was completed. Not to mention we had to call about three times to get ahold of them each time we needed to talk. read more

The driver side window on my son's Suburu got stuck as we were driving into Chico from San Jose for CSU Chico student orientation. I got my son started the next morning and drove the car Miller Glass around 8am. They put a technician on the problem, he debugged the issue to be with wiring and reset of a regulator ..... by lunch. Miller glasses prices are unreasonable and outrageous. We had the most simple fix and it ended up costing us a ridiculous amount. Our sliding glass door(which is a low quality door to start with) got stuck and when we tried to open it the handle fell off. The handle ended up costing us 45$, and the labor tab was 95$!! The job of putting a handle on is not 95$ worth of labor. Absolutely absurd. Would NOT recommend giving them business. read more

Honestly we tried to use Miller Glass when we were remodeling our bathrooms. We went into the store 3 times. We could get no one to help us and answer our questions. We have never remodeled before and had questions. We were ignored. Went to another Glass Co. in Oroville/Gridley area. They were wonderful. read more

Initially, I was put-off by the reception staff whose response as to when I could have my car windshield replaced was "I have no idea." When prodded further, she repeated this. Not a good sales tactic! Fortunately, after I asked to speak with someone who could help me, Greg was incredibly friendly and helpful. He explained the difficulties of scheduling. Not only that, he offered to prioritize my car first thing the next morning. He did a very quick, excellent job in record time for the lowest price I could find anywhere around. For Greg alone, this place gets 5-stars. I do hope that reception staff are better trained and/or communication improves, though. Saying "I have no idea" in response to a customer's common-place inquiries doesn't typically bode well for a business. read more

Not the best experience but not the worst, I had a windshield replaced in January of 2013. At the time they appeared to have done a fine job. However, a couple of months ago during the heavy rains, water got all over the floor of my car on the drivers side. Well someone had broken my mirror with a baseball bat months earlier so I assumed the door panel and weather stripping were warped and that's how the water was getting in. So I replaced those cleaned the floor and guess what. It rained again and my floors got soaked again. So I did some real troubleshooting and ended up taking off the dash of my car to find that the leak was coming from under the bottom of the windshield and was dripping on my car's computer. The gap between the windshield and the caulking was about 3/16 of an inch and ran about half way down the base of the windshield. I called Miller Glass they had me come down and they replaced the caulking at the base of the windshield. The guy that replaced the caulking was nice and apologized but the experience of that day seemed odd, I didn't really talk to anyone at the counter, sort of hard to explain but it was odd. Also, I wasn't offered any compensation or future discounts or free car washes or anything. The whole experience was strange, so between the original mistake, the strange experience, and no compensation of any kind offered they get three stars. I won't be going back but I'm sure there are worse places out there. read more

After a neighbor in the Lake Almanor area mentioned Miller glass, I contacted them to replace the inside glass of a double pane window, two window screens and latch on a sliding window, also double paned. They charged $280.00 and their tech broke the inside pane of the window needing the lock latch stating that old glass cracks easier. My tenant didnt report this to me for 5-6 weeks as she had not been contacted for that repair as the tech told her she would be. The office mgr wanted another $120.00 for their damage! I refused and wanted to speak to a manager. I was again contacted and told "my tennant" signed a form which states "damage may occur" that Miller is not liable for. I explained that was a cost of doing business, that if damage occurs by THEIR employee, I should not be charged! thats a WRITE-OFF for Miller Glass and the cost of doing business which they should stand by. We came down to $60.00 but the excuses and damaged properties charged to customers is NOT COOL, GO Somewhere else! read more

If I could give 0 stars on this review I absolutely would! We just moved to Chico and asked Miller Glass to give us an estimate on some new windows for our new house. We were told the new windows would arrive to be installed week of April 25th. No call and no windows. I have called twice and both times was told that our order was in process and likely in inventory waiting to go out. I tried to cancel the order but was told both times the order could not be canceled or changed. It is now mid June and still no windows and no call from this company. I could have ordered new windows from another country and gotten them quicker! At this point I would not accept the order if they did call. Ridiculous! read more

The customer service is non-existent. The employees apparently believe that it is all right to not return any phone calls and then blame the stalled order on everyone other than themselves. We have repeatedly made phone calls to Laura in an attempt to order a shower door. However she has never returned our calls so we were forced to visit the office. Where she then denied that she had ever RECEIVED our calls. Okay Laura, you didn't call us back and that was bad enough. But do not try to blame your lazy behavior on US! I am so frustrated with the lackadaisical attitude that is present in the office. My suggestion for Miller Glass? Hire people who actually care. read more

Next stop was the showroom, where everyone was pleasant, helpful and knowledgable. I was working on a tight availability schedule and each appointment set was met promptly and efficiently. The unit is just what I was looking for, the installation professionally done, right down to the clean-up. You would never have known someone did work other than the lovely new doors. Came in to see if a rock impact with a few small cracks COULD be repaired. They said the tech woukd assess and if it was repairable it would be $35, so I said ok. 15 min later they said it was fixed so I paid the fee and went to leave. In my car, the damage is almost as bad as it was before. I can understand if there is some cloudiness or a little chip left. But I still have a big divot and two cracks completely visible and catching sunlight. If the result was going to be that it still looks pretty bad since the damage is bigger than a quarter, why not say something or make a different recommendation instead of trying to fix it and assuming I would be ok with my windshield looking the same after paying for the work? Now I definately need a new windshield and the only recourse is that they will take the $35 off of a new windshield. Why not just refund my money? Nice people and quick service, but if it definitely can't be fixed, why even attempt it? read more
