Make this your FIRST call. I was told by a HVAC company that my AC unit needed to be replaced because it was down over 2 lbs of refrigerant and there was a major leak somewhere. I was still receiving cold air but there was a musty smell. Thank goodness I found Miller and Stacey came out a few hours later. After he checked my unit he said the refrigerant was only down a lb and everything else was working fine. He suggested to replace the lb of refrigerant with a sealant and run the unit on the coldest setting for two hours. The musty smell was gone!! Stacey even told me that if the unit should have problems in the future he would apply what I paid him towards a new AC. WOW, what other company would offer that? We reached out to Miller (Stacy) after another company could not diagnose why our AC wasn't working. When Stacy came out, we had been without AC for a week this July with temps reaching 100 degrees. He was able to quickly determine our blower motor was bad. He diligently looked for a replacement part, but our system is 25 years old and parts are no longer available for it. He gave us a very reasonable price for for replacing our HVAC system, and only recommended what we needed for our square footage, not something more expensive. During the recent heat wave my A/C stopped working, as well as thousands of others in the Sacramento area. I called over 15 companies and all but one said they would not be available for days. I normally don't write two reviews (or really any reviews...) about a company but after Stacy saved the day last Sunday, I had to come here to share the story. My in-laws called us last Saturday saying their AC unit was broken, of course on the hottest day of the year. It was 111 degrees outside and over 90 degrees inside their house. My in-laws are in their 70 & 80's and have health conditions that could make the situation even more problematic. They called numerous companies but the earliest someone could come out was Thursday. Stacy Miller is my guy for HVAC issues from now on. I run a carehome for the elderly and he has personally saved my tail, twice! On two separate occasions (and a/c units), he has come out to fix them the same day, not days or weeks later. The most recent time, weather was expected to be 107 degrees!
