This company got dispatched to us from our home warranty. First strange thing - they didn't even contact us to schedule an appointment. I just got an email saying when our appointment was scheduled. I couldn't do that day so contacted them and the soonest they could come was the next week. Weird that they didn't try to contact us to schedule, but whatever not a big deal. The day of the appointment comes, I got 2 missed calls and a text saying the guy was on his way and would be there in 30 minutes. I responded about 20ish minutes later asking him to call my husband number instead of knocking because our daughter was asleep. Then he says because I didn't confirm he moved on to his next appointment. Our apologies but you'll have to contact the company to reschedule. When nobody mentioned to me at any point that I would have to confirm in order for them to not cancel our appointment. I'm a small business owner and took the day off to be there. We have a 1 year old child and our heater has been broken for over a week. All I needed was proper communication so I knew to confirm when all he said was he is on his way, so I didn't think I needed to say anything. I tried to explain this to them and they apologized, but didn't seem to truly care/understand why I was frustrated (not saying they didn't care, just my opinion). We are in wheatland so I completely understand it's a far drive and they don't want to not get paid if I wasn't home. They offered an appointment for the next day which I couldn't do because of work. And they were booked out for the days after that. I kept asking for someone to make it out today (day of scheduled appointment) and they couldn't do it. Not their fault they are booked, but I just hoped that since they canceled on us that maybe someone could come out at the end of the day. Just a note to anyone out there scheduling - make sure you are by your phone constantly during your appointment time frame so that when they text/call you saying they're on their way - let them know you are home even if they don't ask for confirmation if you don't want them to cancel your appointment. UPDATE: now they are threatening their attorney for leaving this review. I was trying to be as nice as possible but now I feel like that was a slap in the face instead of genuinely apologizing and not blaming me because I didn't confirm the appointment - so I changed from 2 stars to 1 star. I highly recommend just taking some business education classes and learning more on communication within your business. That's my main point of feedback. Plus how you respond to people and negative reviews says a lot about a business. Not going straight to threatening with a lawyer when I didn't do anything but share my experience. As a business owner, I HATE leaving reviews like this. But it's also so important for people to learn how to handle situations.

(Update after posting Review for Threat call & txt) This company just called to threaten me. Then sent me a follow up text message saying the same thing. This person is super unprofessional and I will be reaching out to our home warranty, BBB, and News Media. We attached the txt messages that we attached to clearly show we are not changing anything that was said. If this person knew how to read they would clearly see that my wife never said she was sleeping. She said our baby was sleeping. Read other clients reviews who were assigned to this company by their home warranty company. ---------- (Original Review) First strange thing - they didn't even contact us to schedule an appointment. My wife just got an email saying when our appointment was scheduled. We couldn't do that day so she contacted them and the soonest they could would be able to come out was the following week. Weird that they didn't try to contact us to schedule and see what availability they had worked with us. When we scheduled the appointment that was us confirming the date and time frame. The day of the appointment comes, my wife gets 2 missed calls and a text saying that the technician was on his way and would be arriving in 30 minutes. My wife responded about 20ish minutes later asking him to call my cell instead my of knocking because our daughter (baby) was asleep. The technician then replies that he is not coming because I didn't confirm so he moved on to his next appointment. His apologies but we will have to contact the company to reschedule. Never once he mentioned in the txt to reply to confirm before arrival. They never called Friday or yesterday to confirm for todays appointment. There is an extreme lack on communication with this office. The technician mentions that they are not trying to come to our area and have a no show. In the end the no show was them. They canceled our appointment and mentioned they cannot get anyone out until tomorrow. We are not available tomorrow as my wife took work off today for this appointment. I was going to be able to be here to see the technician and help for a few minutes before I had to head to work. My wife is a small business owner and took the day off to be here. This company is leaving us in this cold temperature without a heater again. We have a baby this is unacceptable. Our heater has been broken for over a week. All we needed was proper communication so we knew to confirm when all he said was he is on his way, so she didn't think she needed to say respond at it was sharing an ETA. She tried to explain this to technician and the technician apologized (sorry not sorry type of apology) and mentioned nothing they can do about it and to call their office. I called their office and no call back. But they responded quickly to my wife's text to that number. This company truly doesn't care and their professionalism showed by how they handle the entire interaction. If they're so concerned on waisting their time to come to appointments where no one is home. Do better confirming appointments the day before and let the customer/client know this when scheduling their appointment. If the customer/client knew beforehand then that would be on them but lack of communication is lack on your company. When they mentioned they went to their next appointment, that means they can come back to us to do the job. They just clearly don't want to. Just a note to anyone out there who gets this company by their home warranty or contacts this company. If you have an appointment with this company, on the day of the appointment make sure to have the ringer/phone with you so that you can respond to their eta txt/call as they wanting confirmation before coming that you're home. If they don't get a response from you, they will cancel it and have you reschedule with their office. Even if they don't ask for confirmation through txt just give a response saying ok or see you soon. I lost trust in this company with their lack of empathy and professionalism. I will be calling my Home Warranty to send another company out instead of them. Best of luck!

Our air conditioner/heat pump unit broke down during one of many heat waves in Sacramento; immediately upon calling, Katie was very pleasant and was able to accommodate an appointment right before the 4th of July Holiday! Brian was very knowledgeable and his experience working with a Home Warranty company was very much appreciated. We did hit a few snags along the road but after 41 days, we had our brand-new heat pump installed and it's working wonderful! Thank you Brian and Thomas for the very professional installation, we couldn't be happier!

What stood out most was their commitment to making sure everything was done right. Garrett even had this cool tool that analyzed what size unit we would need based on the size of the house, orientation of the sun, ups and downs in the weather during the day, and the temperature we like to keep our home set at. Mark deployed to my home and went straight to work, quickly absorbing the situation and what I had learned thus far. Mark was followed by some of his teammates, when it was determined this would require troubleshooting from multiple points in the home simultaneously. I was fearing the worst, running through expensive possibilities in my mind. Throughout the entire troubleshooting process, the team was highly communicative and never tried to upsell me on anything that was not short of necessary. As the team diligently narrowed it down to unusual behavior from a culprit wire and elegantly solved the problem, I was certain I picked the right HVAC company. We called yesterday morning when we noticed our AC was not kicking on and they were able to get a tech out today! Butch arrived on time and was friendly as could be. He wasted no time jumping in and trying to diagnose the problem. He went through everything he could think of, figured it out, and advised us of best solutions. We never felt pressured or unsure of the decisions we were making. He also pointed out things to keep an eye on, as they appeared to be going bad or outdated, but again, never once did he push for us to buy or do anything now. He was also honest with us about replacing the unit altogether (yes, you're thinking he wants us to spend the money and they make it), but the unit is 32 years old with a life expectancy of 20, soo he's not wrong. Beyond suggesting a new unit he priced out different components that we could replace, as we wanted to, in order to squeeze as much life out as we could. We were already considering replacing, so he helped us set up a no obligation consultation later this week. And honestly, if not for the service and respect we've been shown, we'd consider shopping around more, but this family owned company has earned our business and trust for years to come! If you need service or repairs, do not hesitate to reach out and use Good Guys, because they truly are: Good Guys!
