My friends and I were passing this town on our way to Joshua tree and found this place to have lunch. As Filipinos, we were pretty excited! They had all the Filipino staple dishes as well as some Hawaiian dishes. I went with the sisig silog and it was pretty good! It was a little different than what I'm used to, which is normally spicier and more sour, but I still enjoyed the crisp and flavors. I also thought the garlic rice could use more garlic. Big Al, one of the owners, is usually at the front greeting you as you walk in. He's always so cheerful and positive. And he remembers the names of their regulars! You can tell when owners of an establishment truly take pride and love what they do, and trust me you can taste all the love they put into their food. Everything is made to order so your food comes out hot and fresh! The true secret to the incredible food is Al's wife! My husband and I were craving Filipino food and we were so pleasantly surprised. Can't believe we hadn't been before. The cuisine is such a wonderful balance of Filipino and Hawaiian flavors. I can't say enough how amazing the food and the staff was. Order 4 different entrées, and the lumpia is to die for.

Since this is a new restaurant in Beaumont and I saw that there roadside sign said they offer tofu, I decided to stop by for dinner. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted and told by the female employee who she would be right with us. After finishing making smoothies for two other customers, she quickly took our order of veggie stir fry with tofu for me and a papaya smoothie for hubby. My order was made quickly and hubby's smoothie was quickly prepared. Although hubby had high hopes for the smoothie, he said it was bland and almost medicinal in its taste. He said it tasted like ice, milk and papaya that were not mixed well together which left him perplexed and made him feel like the papaya were out of season. Despite the less than good experience with the smoothie, our food was seasoned well and delicious. The family running this restaurant was very friendly and seemed to have a nice connection and conversation with some of their usual patrons. We don't live in the area and were passing though after visiting Palm Springs. It was our best meal we had all spring break. We had Tocilog, Pork Sinigang, Pancit with pork belly, chicken fried rice, mangomansi to drink and halo halo for desert. All of the dishes were delicious, well made, and comforting. Little hole in the wall with yummy food and generous portions. The owners are super friendly and helpful in suggesting menu items. The interaction there felt like a "Cheers Bar" where everyone is welcome and the owners are invested in giving you a good experience. Why have i never come here! It was so authentic and delicious. We had 4 dishes between 3 of us and most of it was gone. The silos pork was a must try and make sure to not share. The spam fried rice was just as it should be and flavorful. Pansit was so good in the combination so you can try with all meats. Highly recommended the food. So disappointed in the interaction I had with both owners today. I ordered a chicken dish and noticed once I got home that 1. The little vinegar dipping sauce that comes with my dish was not in the bag and 2. I was given the pork version of the dish instead of the chicken I ordered. The person I was picking up the food for can't eat pork due to a medical condition so I called the restaurant and the young man who took my order offered to replace my meal, I accepted. When I entered the restaurant the owners wife who cooks the food pointed at me and told the owner "that's her" and the male owner just walked past me and I explained that I was returning the food due to my family members condition. The owner continued walking as I tried to explain myself. The wife then asked me to repeat myself so I began to, she cut me off mid sentence and just blurted out "oh sorry. Put the other food right there." Then proceeded to stare me down as she cooked and bagged the food. She was staring me down as if SHE was the one who was inconvenienced by the mistake they made. I felt so uncomfortable, and so unwelcome, they made me feel like a scolded child for returning food that I didn't order! Got the ginger sisig and my wife got the beef tapsilog and they were sooo good! Their sisig has a nice mix of crunchy bits with soft pork bits, and the ginger adds a great acidity that cuts through the fatty and porky flavor that makes the whole dish taste so refreshing and light. My wife's beef tapsilog was sweet and savory and it was soft and tender. She also got mango-mansi drink (mango + calamansi) and it's tasty and refreshing! Looking forward to coming back. Wow! What a hidden gem! The home cooking smell hits you right when you open the door. It reminded me of Sunday dinner at grandma's house. On our last trip to the islands it became a quest to find the best Loco Moco. Millet's Cafe just saved us the cost of airfare and lodging. Their Loco Moco was cooked to order and was delicious. My husband ordered lechon kawali last tuesday and we started eating the meat is hard the skin is so tough that we cannot eat it i message the owner Millet and told her that we couldn't eat the food and would like to request for a food exchange instead we couldn't go back that evening as they are already close i message her anyway and heard no response on the text bare in mind we are a repeat customer we have ordered so many times in your restaurant.
