There are lunch deals, but the one we got was the best deal. 2 arrowroot noodles PLUS a plate of kalbi for $40. We got the cold soup and the spicy sauced noodles. This makes a good lunch spot. Parking is free and there's always stalls open when we go. Love the fish jun! It's moist and meaty. Their regular meat jun is a little on the thin side and less moist, but it's good. Whichever "jun" you get, you'll like the sauce. The kalbi is a little on the chewy side; it's tasty, just wish it was more charred bbq style. The bulgogi and kalbi dolsut bibimbaps are better than expected - big portions and tasty. The mandu is expensive but worth it. Go during lunch when you'll get the best bang for your buck. It can be pricey but we still plan to check out dinner one day. Good food Very BAD service Arrived on time for our reservations, but was still waiting. No one at the front greeting anyone. We had to stop someone to get seated out of fear that a walk in would get service before us. Inside was only half full. Saw a person walking around dressed in home clothes looking nothing like the other employees. Maybe they short and mama san was working? After we got seated it took 20 min to get our order taken. We noticed others that got seated got their orders taken. Felt like we were too ugly or smelled like stink fish or something to get help. Food came out in a timely manner and the food was delicious. We were ready to order another set or two ($100 more). But we kept waiting. Tried waving people down. Nothing. We even poured our own water twice. When someone finally came, they handed us the check and walked off. WTH?! For the price, we expected at least decent service. They can't say that they were shorthanded since people in our area got serviced over us. Food was good and we would have had more since this was a Valentine/Anniversary dinner and we had friends. This Million Restaurant is the one at Kapiolani and Ward, not the one on Sheridan. The restaurant is spacious and got plenty of parking outside. The food was good especially the meat. You could tell they don't serve cheap meat. I have dined here 3 times in the last 2 years and the quality has been very consistent. Service was also good. Our Honolulu friends always bring visitors to Million, and I've known about it for a long time. We prefer their Kapiolani location. Staff treat you like family - many of the servers know and recognize our friends and check in on us. We made a reservation for 4 adults/one child on a Monday at 5pm (and stayed until 9!). Our favorites were the kurobuta pork, kalbi, and small intestine (our friend tried her first time and love it). Their bulgogi has to be cooked in the kitchen, not DIY. Their call button is super handy if you need help or top-offs. We loved the banchan and salad paired with all the grilled meats. We also got many rounds of beers and their soju cocktail pitcher (delicious). Nice to have our own small room with A/C. A bit hard to hear, but very comfortable. Parking is ample in their lot, and there were decent crowds throughout the night. For 4 people (including many drinks), the total came out to around $90 per person. read more

The meat from the Million Set was fresh and grilled up beautifully at our table. The hot stone bowl was a standout--the rice crisps up nicely if you let it sit, and you can even request the bowl extra hot if you love that crispy texture. Kid-Friendly Touches: They were incredibly accommodating to our 3-year-old daughter. They had a high chair ready, and even brought out a seaweed tofu soup special just for her, along with her own bowl, spoon, and fork. She loved it! I've been seeing posts for their lunch specials so wanted to try it out since it's close to home. The multigrain lunch sets are about $30 but it's a complete meal with entree, soup and the multigrain rice pot so it makes sense. I got the Spicy Pork with Soft Tofu. Spicy Pork and Multigrain rice was good! The spicy pork was cooked perfectly and surprisingly not as oily. Rice was good and was easy scape off with the tea afterwards. The soft tofu was good, but it was really spicy. Like I can handle the spice, but the spice was overpowering for me to actually enjoy it but if you're into that then this soup is for you. I was a little disappointed with the banchan options but I noticed form other photos that it varies on the day - I'd still eat it regardless though. Note on the top of the menu said limit set to one person, but I think if you're not heavy eaters, it would be enough to share plus an extra side. I was only able to eat half. My Fiance and I ate here the other day after always just getting take out and wanted to actually eat inside. The food was amazing, the restaurant was clean and the staff were great. Overall our experience was fantastic and we will definitely be going back! We ordered the spicy pork and the Meatjun and BBQ Kalbi plate , the spicy pork was sizzling hot when it came out and it was perfectly caramelized with the onions it was served with, the kalbi was nice and juicy and super flavorful which paired well with the MeatJun. Usually you can tell how great a Korean bbq place is by their banchan and Million did not disappoint, it was amazing and the server was always checking to make sure we had enough. The staff were great and attentive to everything we needed! They kept our waters filled and our banchan coming, and would always check on us to see if we needed anything else. From the few times we ordered take out from here the front worker was always very polite and nice too. You can tell they really take pride in the restaurant by how clean and presentable it is as well. We will definitely be coming back again, especially since we live so close. It's great having a KBBQ place so close to us, next time we are gonna have to try the actual grill. Let me just preface by saying, I love Million. It's always one of my favorite restaurants to go to for yakiniku/KBBQ. And while the food and service are usually great, my last visit left a really bad impression. It's the beginning of graduation season, so the restaurant was packed with big parties celebrating high school and college grads. I totally understand that it was a busy night, but as regular patrons, it felt like we were pushed aside when we walked in, which was disappointing. I tried to be understanding, especially since the staff looked super stressed. Our server didn't seem to be in the best mood either. I tried to cheer her up but it felt like that was immediately dismissed. I get that people have off days, but it affected the overall experience. Now onto the food. It was tasty as usual as we got our regular dishes for KBBQ: ahn chang (outside skirt) and beef tongue. We even ordered a side of mandoo. The food was solid with the banchan (side dishes) but we noticed that the seaweed soup, which typically comes with the meal, never arrived to our table. Our server also forgot to bring us the soft drink we ordered (had to remind her 2 times). At that point we had to ask someone else to get it for us. To top it off. we never got a refill or ask how we are doing. When we received the bill, we realized that the prices of our meals went up from our last visit. For almost $200 for just two people, we were still hungry. With the price increase and not leaving with a full belly, we are unsure if we would want to return especially when there are other great quality KBBQ spots out there with lower prices. In fact, you can even stop by HMart, grab some meats there, and do KBBQ at home as it would possibly cost less. First time visiting this restaurant for dinner, and it was nothing short of WOW! Mini reunion of friends that was so last minute, but a crowd of ten were miraculously available! The table was spacious and fit us all comfortably, with ample space for the numerous (!) banchan (spicy and non spicy), and the many dishes ordered. Chives, potato salad, cucumber and cabbage kim chees, veggie mixes and slices, and of course the salt and dipping sauce dishes. More sauces and spices available upon request. From the non spicy seafood pancake, spicy jiggae, vegetarian options, and mega meat combo platters ready to grill, we managed to eat almost everything! What was left was packaged for next day lunch, of course;)! Can't pinpoint which was most delish, and I failed to take pics as it was a frenzy of reunion conversation, cooking, and eating, LOL! The service was awesome, with frequent water refills (a must for me), and we had hot tea and the sweet rice afterwards. Convenient restroom doors are "hidden" by colorful curtains. The women's had two stalls, yay, as someone followed close behind me when I entered. The restroom is bright and clean;) with ample supplies. Truly a memorable reunion of good friends, at a great place to enjoy a yummy and filling meal-I hope to return again soon! And there's little lollipops to enjoy on the way out (I think they were my favorite dumdums brand, but I held back from indulging after such a fab meal;)!) You either order ala carte by the meats or order a set that is $74.99+. We ordered the Million Set S4 ($79.99), which includes non-marinated kalbi, outside skirt, wagyu brisket. The meats have superior quality, compared to other Korean BBQ spots, but they are EXPENSIVE and that the portions are small for a party of two. We were satisfied with the portions by the end of the meal, but we were not full. SERVICE -- Workers are friendly and efficient. Attended to our needs every time we search for them. AMBIANCE -- This place is SIGNIFICANTLY less smoky than other Korean BBQ places. It is also brightly lit inside. Decent place to have meals for special occasions. We recently dined at Million Restaurant on Kapiolani Blvd, overall, it was a decent experience and it's these restaurants that I wish I could give a 3.5 star rating since it was just short of a 4 star for us. We ordered the Million Set 2 ($74.99), which is designed to feed two people. The set included four different cuts of meat, including Wagyu Brisket, and came with six delicious banchan side dishes. The banchan were definitely a highlight--fresh, flavorful, and a nice complement to the meats. The restaurant itself is large, well-lit, and can easily accommodate both large and small groups, which is great for gatherings. Service was a standout aspect of our visit. The staff was very attentive, frequently checking in and making sure that we had everything we needed. Their friendliness and promptness really elevated the experience. However, the main drawback for us was the quality of the meat. While the selection was decent, the cuts themselves were average and didn't stand out as anything particularly special. It was the the lowest price point so far in our K BBQ adventure but from a flavor and tenderness perspective I felt we've gotten better at other locations. In summary, Million Restaurant has a lot going for it--excellent service, a spacious and comfortable atmosphere, and tasty banchan. But for us, the star of a Korean BBQ meal should be the meat, and unfortunately, it fell just short in comparison. For the price though I think it's well worth the visit! Side note, each grill had a vent above it but I don't think any of them were on..at least it didn't appear to be. Friend and I decided to try out this new location . It's a lot spacious than the original place, and the same quality and menu. Plus side is that there is ample parking right in front of the restaurant. The workers here are very friendly and welcoming when you enter, and we were seating almost immediately! However, I do believe that this place gets pretty packed on Friday nights and the weekends! But every other week day seems pretty slow. The sets they offer can serve 2 people! The meat quality is amazing compared to other KBBQ places. Also, we got the meat jun and it was so good!! But the workers attentiveness can we improved.. It took me raising my hand to getting up from my table to get a workers attention. Overall, I would come back. On this Women's History Month I'm so proud to celebrate with my bestie thick and thin the one we can be our true selves...no judgement and we finally got to celebrate the holidays after putting it on hold here we are. Going to the Janet Jackson concert OMG! on this National Women's Day (March 8th) you know we gotta go to a women owned biz and here we are at Million on Kapiolani. Thankfully we had ride and dropped off which made me feel so taken care of that alone made the night for me though here we are no reservations but got greeted immediately and a nice table without a wait and the restaurant is filled and thriving scanning the menu we didn't want to be stuffed though the orders we decided on flowed off our tongues lol! On this chilly and windy night it was hot soup for sure it was kalbi for me tofu for my friend, chicken wings and japchae. Though they were busy the vibe was very lively not chaotic and we had several staff come and check on us as soon as we ordered here comes the banchan which I forgot and there were four all are items thrilled to see that we both love and got in it...yup four the fifth we weren't familiar with and it was a Mung Bean Jelly and we were both so impressed how yummy it was and a new favorite side dish! Japchae which was served warm which I've never had and on this chilly night was a nice touch that I've never had prepared that way we both couldn't stop as it had mushrooms and some sautéed meat as well it was light yet so flavorful, chicken wings (mild) came with six pieces and I'm the drumettes she's flats which worked perfectly lol the crunch level was definitely there. There are two locations for Million restaurants. One is a hole in the wall restaurant on Sheridan Street and this one is an upscale restaurant with a lot of parking and with private rooms on Kapiolani Blvd next to Jack in the Box. The picture menu was helpful when you don't know what you want. The price can be a little more at this location. Korean food is one of my favorite foods because of the variety of banchan and meats. Some banchan I may like more over others, but they can refill it when you need more. The service here was good. I took out a lunch plate once which was okay but I've dined in twice. I just love their Kalbi Jjim! It runs just under $40 when I dined in, but it is so worth it! There were about three pieces of thick Kalbi on one bone cut in three pieces in a stew pot with daikon. The Kalbi is so soft but the stew gravy made the dish. I had one at another restaurant, but I love the taste here! It's worth it when I want to treat myself to Kalbi Jjim! The other Million's location also serves Kalbi Jjim, but not many restaurants makes Kalbi Jjim! Best to dine in. read more

It was a disappointing dinner. We ordered quite a lot of takeout and had a few dine in experiences here before. But recently our experience was below expectations. Subpar bibimbap and seafood pancake. Delicious sides but there weren't not many choices. Small portions of meat for the chicken kalbi plate. However, their service was still good and attentive even though they're slammed the evening we went. We asked for extra crispy for our seafood pancake and it came out to be slightly undercooked where the batter was still soft... we took one bite and decided to pack it home for reheating in the air fryer and the next day it tasted better at home than at the restaurant lol The bibimbap was sad looking. So much rice and little toppings including scarce pieces of galbi. I had to remake the bowl by adding some of the meat from the combo plate we got and the vegetables and kimchi from the banchan to make it more enjoyable. If you go to a restaurant and you have to recook their food, then it wasn't that good of an experience, was it. The only saving grace was their soon tofu soup. AND, Flamingo Restaurant and Bakery.... which was the iconic eatery AFTER then Columbia Inn.... the iconic eatery also.... OK History buffs!!! Did I get it all and did I get it correct? Have I left anyone off this list? Now on to my eating experience. I went there for lunch with two buddies (one of whom was the former Flamingo's family member). Okay, truth is we went there so my buddy former Flamingo could visit his old home/restaurant and we could reminisce. Not to mention the fact, I was craving... craving for Korean food. 1 Star- food is tasty and with authentic Korean flavor 1 Star- Establishment is CLEAN, including the overhead fan for yakiniku 1 Star- service is okay. Staff fully loaded for a medium capacity lunch crowd 1 Star- Parking plentiful (see my footnotes later on the parking) I had to leave off 1 star for the tiny portion of Banchan. I'm sure if we wanted to, we could as for more but it was pretty puny for three diners. And the price for a regular lunch (not Yakiniku) but their lunch specials were pricey with nothing less than $17 per order, including the cold noodles which priced out at $16.95 My order L14 was the Meat Jun and Kalbi combination. It came with 2 small pieces of meat jun, sliced like it normally gets served and 1 piece of 4 sliced pieces of Kalbi with a bed of thin sliced cabbage and the jun dipping sauce . It was accompanied with a bowl of rice and a small tea cup with their daily seaweed soup. $18.95. Well like I said, it tasted authentic Korean and I suppose that's the main point to consider when in a Korean eatery. I don't think I would go back for lunch, but I would go back and to try their Yakiniku dinner. Yup; I'd go for dinner and spend $17.95 on one of their appetizer dishes I think... Point to consider- you could go to one of the take out Korean Fast food places and pay the same amount for the same thing with a little more banchan I think. Last thing to keep in mind and if you didn't already know this is... Ready? well you can access the parking lot from Kapiolani Blvd, east side turn in only. You can't turn from a westward direction BUT you can access the parking lot from Waimanu Street.... Who doesn't love kbbq? This is the second location they opened up. Parking is better than the first location which is a plus. When I first heard about this, my friend saw that they had Wagyu on the menu and it was a decent price for it so we made res to give it a try. We wanted to have some authentic Korean Bulgogi and after looking at several restaurants we decided to try this one. There is ample parking at the restaurant and seating was fast. We were greeted by very friendly staff who were all smiling even though the restaurant was full. Once seated our waitress Mi So gave us a quick rundown of the menu and helped us pick out a set meal for various cuts of beef and several side dishes. Food was just downright good, I love Korean food and the amount they served (we ordered the preset menu for 2 people at like $79) was just right. Service was perfect, they checked in with us regularly, refilled our waters, and changed the grill when needed. The place wasn't crowded so enjoyed there was no waiting. Bamboo-like partitions were up so didn't even know people were seated next to us on both sides, so very personable space. Parking was a breeze too! read more

We decided to celebrate a friends going-away dinner here. It was all of our first time at Million. This place is not AYCE but they do have sets and many options on the menu. The service was very good. The servers were quick to take our order and the food came out fairly quickly. We ordered 2 million set #2 as a group of 8, kimchee pancake, and the tofu kimchee soup. I fell in love with the tofu kimchee soup! It was perfectly spicy, the tofu was soft and soaked up the flavor of the soup so well. The kimchee pancake was crispy and delicious. I loved all the sides that were provided with the set. The kimchi had great flavor and crunch. The dipping sauces paired perfectly with the meats. My only complaint would be that for the price of 74.99, you would think that there would be more meat. Flavor is definitely great at this place but it is a little too pricey. read more

The three stars I put is strictly for the aesthetic of the restaurant and the quality of the food. However the experience we had with our family of 11 to celebrate my daughter's birthday was an experience I'll never forget and I wished I got up and left the first interaction I had. When we first entered there was no one there to greet us, the place was slow, we were greeted with a "hello yes?" By the waitress and felt like we were bothering her. The person who took our order had a terrible attitude, she cut me off after I made two orders by saying "you know this is not enough right?" I've told her I am still ordering my food but you cut me off. When she left and came back our family asked for more napkins, water, and sauces. She yelled saying "let me get things slowly speak one at a time" when we actually did. So I asked if she like for us to order water, then order the napkins later, than more sauces after you come back? Then when our food was places the 3rd waitress had no patience and yelled "where do I put the food??!" Just so everyone knows I was main person to order the whole time. They made us felt rushed, bothersome, and unwanted there. Please skip the aesthetic and eat at the original millions. They are friendly, caring and the food is truly way better. Million restaurant has always been my go to for soup or cold noodles. It was my first time dining in at the kapiolani location and trying their lunch special. I ordered the one with kalbi and kalbi kimchi jjigae. They also came with side dishes. Honestly, it's not bad, but I didn't think it was great either. I personally think it's better to order their regular portion soup/meal. I recommend their gamja tang if you feel like trying a spicy soup. read more

If you're in the mood for good Korean food this is a great place. It's a little pricey but the meat is good quality. If you do the cook your own you do have to have two orders but it's not a ton of food so that's fine. Had their pork belly and the pork neck stew. And both were really good. Hard to find good Korean stew so this was worth it! read more

Love the food. Kalbi, spicy pork, mandoo, seafood pancake and of course all the manchan. We've gotten lazy over the years and prefer to order cooked meats served on their sizzling platter. Spacious restaurant and great efficient staff. read more
