    Meat jun
    Amy L.

Crazy to think there's no meat Jun in the mainland. It's an old school restaurant with the classic Korean dishes. Naengmyun - chewy noodles and ice cold vinegary broth was so good on a hot day. The meat jun had a thick slice of meat, not too eggy. The Kalbi was also finger licking good.

    Nom nom kalbi.

Delicious Cold Noodle What they are known for. A friend and I went for lunch on a Saturday and got the Spicy Cold Noodle shared special with Kalbi. Absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a good size to it and can seat quite a few. It was my first time but my friend had been here many times before. This is located along Kapiolani not too far down after you turn off Ward, and has a small parking lot... one driveway in and one out, don't miss it. Casual, friendly. I am definitely returning!!

The best cold noodles in town. It's a must try , for those who haven't had it. Good service and great clean restaurant, parking can be a bit challenging during peak hours. This restaurant has very clean restrooms too.

Shockingly high prices especially for the portion size. I don't mind paying a premium for quality food and ingredients, but it is just average korean food and a single serving set meal is almost $50.

Today I got to try the Spicy Squid and it was good. The service was friendly and they are in a very convenient place.

Best cold noodles on the island. Except I only have had it at one other place. But still! The first time I tried it, I was blown away. Now, this is the only place I come to for cold noodles. The spicy one is amazing. It's not too spicy (I don't really like spicy food) and more flavorful than the regular one. The noodles are perfectly chewy. The kalbi is my favorite pairing. It is flavored perfectly and comes on a sizzling platter. Bring a friend and get set A. Two orders of cold noodles and a side of your choice (spicy pork, bulgogi, or kalbi). Authentic (I think), delicious, and a hidden gem.

Food was tasty, but the service completely ruined the experience. When we asked for our check, our server told us the tip was already included even though gratuity is usually only added for parties of six or more. As a server myself, this was unbelievable. All she did was take our order and drop the food. she NEVER checked on us once. When I asked to remove the automatic tip so we could add our own, she gave us a nasty look. Totally unprofessional. The food is good, but the service was so disappointing so unfortunate. Also this is more than 15% tip they included. Ridiculous.

A small pretty simple Korean restaurant, not many items to choose from. You can view the menu in my photos. They do have their own parking lot that share with a golf shop next door. I believe the cold Noodle is one of the very popular item because a lot of people ordered that noodle. Since this is the first time we visit this restaurant, the waitress was very nice and explain to us about the menu. We did try the ice cold noodle, it was surprisingly good and very refreshing. We ordered a combination dinner with the short rib and soft tofu soup. I must say the short rib is just average and the soft Tofu soup is very small but with a lot of tofu, the portion is like a side order. The small little side dishes are just OK in our opinion. If you're really enjoy a lot of good side dishes, you need to go try Hangang, they have so many side dishes. We don't think we will come back because the food is not that impressive. Well, you never know until you try it, especially as a Yelp reviewer, I will keep trying new restaurants

Location wise is definitely not ideal as the parking stalls are quite tight and located right next to the McKinley Car Wash which always has a crazy line extending onto Kapiolani Blvd. If you do decide to go, Sunday would be an ideal day when the car wash is closed. My family was really craving Naengmyeon so we all went for lunch. They offer two types of naengmyeon which is mul (water) or bibim (mixing). The mul naengmyeon is noodles in an ice slushy or broth with crushed ice. The bibim is more saucy and has the broth on the side. I personally prefer the bibim in terms of flavor wise since it won't be as diluted in the broth. They also give you extra vinegar and mustard to add to your broth as well. The mul naengmyeon but good but somehow I felt something was missing. They offer a combo where you get one choice of meat and a naengmyeon. We got the kalbi and spicy pork. The kalbi had a great flavor and was soft. The spicy pork was soft but was a little too salty with the sauce. Customer service wise, it was not great. There were times a lot of the workers were standing around in the back but rarely refilled our waters or asked if we needed anything else. Even the table next to us had to flag them down for more napkins. When we paid our bill, my sister said they were commenting about how much they got tipped in Korean. A bit unprofessional I would say. Overall the food was pretty good but in terms of other criteria, I'm not sure if I would visit again

First time here my friend said this place is good so had to give it a try. Their located in the same parking lot of Pro Am golf shop next door to McKinley car wash. My friend raves about their spicy cold black noodles . Since I don't really like spicy we ordered the mild plus Kalbi. For $38.95 it comes with 1 soup and a choice of meat either Kalbi, Bulgogi or spicy pork. Not bad at all it can feed 2 people easily. They also have a lunch special with a choice of 2 soup and choice of meat for $54.95. Next time I probably will order the spicy soup noodles because it was very mild tasting . The Kalbi was ok a little on the rubbery side but good taste . Their bachan had a good selection kimchi ,bean sprouts, daikon, cabbage and fish Cake . Service was ok but can use a little more friendliness. Support local next time I'll probably order their Bulgogi and spicy pork

Such good cold noodles!! We and my friend split the deal with two bowls of cold noodle and bulgogi. We both got the spicy cold noodles which had the perfect amount of spice where it adds flavor without burning your mouth. Bulgogi was flavorful but the cold noodles were the star. They have a few parking stalls in front of their store and lots of seating inside!

We tried again last night. Did take out and I must say that the cold noodle dish my husband was raving about was refreshing. Honestly though, the meat jun and chicken were just a tad dry. I think the food was better when we ate in the last time. Go figure. I'd go back for that soup though. It was really good!

So the thing about coming to Fun Station is the "suspended flying noodle thingy" which I didn't go for, but if you like Instagramable stuffs, then I supposed you would probably go for that flying-noodle dish. As for me, I mainly came to try their Minute Chicken Cake Noodles, and as a bonus......... I actually got a 20% discount thanks to my friend - Jennifer C. who let a Bruddah know about da DEALAGES in da Sunday food section newspaper, as they had a coupon! The Sunday morning when I came with my friend, I can clearly see that this restaurant was thriving, as every table in the restaurant was taken. Fun Station specializes in noodles, but if you're not into that, they do serve other items like - soups, vegetable dishes, rice plates, & porridge (jook). Upon looking over the menu, we ordered the following items - 1. Frrrrrrried Chicken Wings ($9.95) for an appetizer 2. Minute Chicken Cake Noodles ($17.95 - minus da 20% coupon DEALAGES) 3. Beef Brisket Tendon & Won Ton in soup ($18.95) What can I say about da grub??? Da chicken wings came out hot & crispy. Although they featured only "flats" vs. drums (I like drums), I must say da wings was nicely executed. As for the Minute Chicken Cake Noodles.........nicely plated on a fancy smanshy panda plate. The cake noodles weren't drowning in gravy, so the noodles stayed crispy on the dish. I really liked how they did this dish, and would easily come back here to eat it again. My friend had the Beef Brisket Tendon & Won Ton soup. The dish looked good, and there weren't any complaints, so I take it that it was pretty ono! Overall, a very satisfying meal and the service here was on point, as the staff was friendly & very efficient. Easy 5 stars for the Minute Chicken Cake Noodles! Chance 'em!

It's tucked…read moreinto a small strip mall, the dining room is no frills and if someone told me it was just another average neighborhood Chinese restaurant, I'd probably believe them. Then the food starts arriving. We ordered way more than we needed and almost everything impressed me. The chow fun was cooked exactly the way I like it. Chewy, smoky and never overcooked. My only complaint was that it leaned a little saltier than I prefer, but it was still very good. The Hainan chicken was the surprise of the meal. Perfectly tender with an incredible ginger sauce that I'd happily put on just about anything. Even the dishes I normally avoid won me over. I've never been much of a lotus root person, but theirs was crisp, savory and honestly delicious. The wontons were another highlight. Since we skipped the noodles, they generously gave us extra wontons instead, which was a really thoughtful touch. What really pushed this place from good to memorable, though, was the staff. We were there with our two and four year old and they couldn't have been kinder. They brought over little toys to keep the kids occupied, checked on us throughout the meal and made us feel genuinely welcome. None of it felt forced. It was just warm, thoughtful hospitality and that's something I always remember long after I've forgotten exactly what I ate. The bathroom situation isn't ideal, you have to use the one outside the restaurant, but that's really my only complaint beyond the slightly salty chow fun. This isn't the place I'd recommend for date night or a long evening out. It's the kind of neighborhood restaurant you walk into expecting very little, then leave thinking, that was a lot better than it had any right to be. We'll definitely be back.

Then you grab a tray for your udon bowl, then work your way down to a small plate where you pick out whatever tempura looks good to you. The tempura selection has a really nice variety, so there's something for everyone. Seating is definitely the tricky part since this place gets packed. They have tables and booths, but with how busy it is, it can be a challenge. We got lucky with a party of eight and somehow got two booths right next to each other. I got the nikutama and it did not disappoint, 10 out of 10, gone way too fast. The potato croquette on the side was just as good. Honestly you could order almost anything off this menu and it would hit. Everyone in our group got something different and we all walked away stuffed and happy. I finally decided why not and came with a friend on new years day lunch time. They were pretty busy already after just 30ish minutes of opening (12pm). Service: We were seated immediately and the service method is pretty simple, you scan the QR code and order through there. My main gripe with this service method is the waitresses aren't as attentive, we couldn't really ask any questions prior to ordering and even after ordering, I had to stand up to the front and wave someone down to pay for our order (as they had a special they had to apply before we paid). We ordered: - Spicy Beef Pancake: 10/10, didn't expect to like this so much as well. Not that spicy to be honest. More like a light spicy flavor. The beef inside was also juicy. - Pan-fried pork bun: 10/10, I was honestly looking forward to this more than the XLB and I was correct to do so. The filling was juicy like a XLB but the dough was also fluffy, doughy, AND has a crispy bottom. Would come back just for this and recommend this 10 times over!! - Sui Mai: 8.8/10; this was like any other good sui mai you may get at different dimsum places. Just pork though, no mushroom or seafood chucks like some other spots. - Steamed Beef with Sticky Rice: 8.1/10. This wasn't bad by any means but just didn't compare to the rest of the items. I didn't like how some parts were super fatty. - Xiao Long Bao: 10/10, the wrapped is thin but thick enough for me to pick up the dumpling without it popping. The soup was flavorful and so was the pork within. They had a special going on which made our XLB be like $5 instead of the $14 it usually is. We were super surprised of how little our bill was give that we were stuffed at the end of the meal and had some leftovers. Even without the discount it would've been a great deal. I heavily recommend, especially the pan-fried pork bun and XLB!!

The noodles were nice and bouncy and the meat was tender and flavorful. The dumplings were good but they weren't as flavorful as we remember them to be. Service - 5/5 Friendly service! Easy ordering via website. Ambiance - 5/5 Cute modern Chinese restaurant! We parked at Walmart and walked over.
