[Note: My original review seems to have disappeared. The following is an edited repost.] My dealings with Millman's Appliances were nightmarish. On 6.2.2020 I purchased a dishwasher. Multiple scheduled delivery dates were missed, with no calls or contacts from Millman's. In fact, there was no contact at all (other than to schedule another delivery date), unless I initiated it. Adding to the frustration of this, their phone system was an impenetrable labyrinth. Forget getting to a real person, and messages that I left were not returned. Finally, I began communicating via email with the manager, Patrick Chorman. On 12.9.2020 the dishwasher was delivered. However, due to a plumbing issue it could not be installed by Millman's delivery/install team. I was told (as I had been told at the time of purchase) that the installation fee of $159.99 would be refunded to me, and I was given the name of a local "handyman" who would complete the installation. The Millman's delivery/installation people then left without bothering to tell me that they had disconnected the dishwasher from the drain under the kitchen sink, thus rendering the sink unusable. Guess what happened. When I used the sink, it drained into the cabinet underneath. The handyman came the following day (12.10.2020) and completed the install. I paid his fee of $175.00 by personal check, and then contacted Millman's manager, Patrick Chorman, to inform him of the situation and request the refund of my installation fee. Several days later, on 12.15.20, Mr. Chorman responded via email that they would be refunding the fee. Over a month went by and I heard nothing, despite the fact that I contacted them again on 1.12.21 via email, and then via certified letter, repeating my request for the refund. On 2.19.21, I received an unbelievable email from Patrick Chorman in which he threatened me regarding a review of his company that I had posted on line, which was essentially the first part of the one that you are reading. In that email he stated, "...remove your review and put this all to rest. If your [sic] not willing that's your right, I will respond with facts and again I will ensure we place you on our do not service list and remove your 10 year warranty." Later that day, I was instant messaged by a Mr. Gary Chorman. He explained that he was the father of Patrick Chorman, and the actual owner of the business. My case had finally come to his attention and he was extremely apologetic for the problems I had experienced. He also assured me that he had personally seen to it that a refund check was written and that it would be mailed on 2.20.21. On 2.23.21, I received a check from Millman's Appliances in the amount of $159.99 for the refund of the installation fee. This finally ends the matter. I am writing this review to commend the positive experience that I have had working with Millman's Appliances, and specifically with Gary. I work with the Sussex Correctional Institute and recently, one of our refrigerators quit working. In an effort to find a suitable replacement, I decided to reach out to Millman's Appliances, hoping to support a local business in this endeavor. I asked if they did law enforcement discounts or donations of a "working" fridge. Not only was Gary able to assist me, ultimately, he was able to organize a donation. When the fridge arrived at Sussex it looked brand new! It is far nicer than the unit it replaced! I sincerely believe that Millman's is an organization that supports our mission as an arm of the law enforcement community in Sussex County and as a longstanding successful business in the local community; I sincerely appreciate the positive relationship that has been fostered through this interaction. At no point did Gary or anyone else indicate that they wanted to receive any recognition for their kindness and generosity, which is why I feel it so important that they are recognized for this. Most appliance purchases are larger financial commitments and I think that given our positive interaction with Millman's, there is certainly a degree of "personal touch" and sense of positive community relations that come along with their products! The service that our organization received went above and beyond my expectations. The word is already being spread around our organization that if anyone wants to purchase an appliance, they should consider Millman's to suit their needs!!! Our experience with Gary exceeded my expectations with our needs. He knew exactly what I wanted and needed in my appliance and was in my best interest. I was pleasantly pleased with his knowledge and did everything he could to make it a good experience. Since we were in a "new build" our major appliances (which did not come from Millman's) were not holding up as one would have thought, so we asked about 2 other appliances and what could he do for us if we replaced all 3. We were even more pleased with his help, suggestions and pricing. (which was so much better than the box stores individually. However, Millman's 10-year warranty and the rebates made our decision a no brainer. Never did he try to upsell me! They were ordered, which took longer than we had hoped, but was well worth the wait. The appliances were delivered with a call ahead of their arrival. Since the appliances were delivered by 2 different loads, I will remark on all 4 of the wonderful, professional, clean, polite and respectful, patient (with me- lol) in answering my questions, demonstrated when I asked...let me just say, their customer service was exceptional. Dave & Ryan and EZ (Eric) and Aahron were so helpful and enjoyable as well as they did their job with smiles! So kudos to Gary, Dave, Ryan, EZ and Aahron for fabulous customer services. Our Kitchen Aid refrigerator (Purchased from Shore Appliances in April 2022 who also has a Very Unprofessional Service Technician named Sean) was deemed Unfixable by Sears Home Services and we had been w/o a working in house refrigerator since June 2024. We were trying to work within the system of Sears Home Services but constantly received the run around and the 2024 Thanksgiving holiday was fast approaching and we would be having 16 people for the weekend! We gave up on Sears Home Services to honor their Service Contract so we when to Millman's Appliances. We met with Rose and told her our Very Long convoluted story and she sold us a Beautiful "Working Perfectly" Kitchen Aide refrigerator off of the showroom floor because we had been w/o a working refrigerator for so long. Rose was Absolutely Awesome and saved our upcoming Thanksgiving & Christmas Holiday! Millman's Delivery personal (Ez & Ryan) came when they said they would, installed the new refrigerator and took the Non Working refrigerator from Shore Appliances to our trash corral and EZ informed us of all the refrigerators features! Rose is an absolute angel! She responded to my online chat within minutes via text message and followed up with a phone call 30 minutes later. When I shared with her that my 75 year old mother-in-law's home was struck by lightening several weeks ago, leaving her without multiple appliances, Rose transformed into a real life superhero. She utilized her special powers (her expert knowledge of appliances and logistics) to come up with a well thought out, prioritized solution and immediately took the steps required to ensure my mother-in-law would get what she needed quickly. Rose went over and above, exemplifying compassion and empathy while accomplishing far greater than what was expected, especially given the ongoing COVID related supply and demand issues. My wife and I have always purchased from the big box stores, but we decided to shop locally with a small family owned store and we were very satisfied with the service we received from ROSE . ROSE has been more than helpful throughout the entire process from the sale the delivery and even with our service call .She has given us the personal attention we were hoping to get with a small family owned store . Rose has even taken the time to speak with my wife Tammy on the phone just to give her a few pointers on how to use the induction cooktop. We just received a new LG refrigerator and the delivery personnel from MIllman's Applicances in Georgetown Delaware were Bear/Pat and Josh. They did a great job with all aspects required to install our new refrigerator. They went well be beyond what was required. We had some initial problems with our first refrigerator (wouldn't cool down within the required spec's and that refrigerator had to be replaced.) Without the help of one of the installer's(BEAR) we would have had to wait possibility week's to get a new one. Bear, took it upon himself to get this new refrigerator within "one" day. My double wall oven took a surge hit while we were away and killed it. (Yes, I have since installed an SD1 surge protector in the main panel to prevent recurrence.) Called around, even looking at the reviews of various choices in the Harbeson area and deciding to cautiously ignore current reviews of this business gave them a call for repair of the oven's sickness. Stopped in to make an app't and was treated well. App't made and after looking around the inet for causes, costs, available parts, etc. had some idea of what to expect its costs would be. Long story short, they beat the common costs associated with my mode of failure, time to repair, and effort involved to repair. Very impressed and will employ Millman's again when the need arises. read more

Called Millman,s Service Department and talked to service technician Tony. Explain to him our problem with our nearly 10 year old LG refrigerator that we have purchased from Millman,s. Tony came out to our Lewes house that afternoon to evaluate. Stated after testing the condenser that our condenser needed to be replaced. Showed Tony the original bill of sale and he stated your replacement condenser is under warranty. After acquiring the new replacement LG condenser, Tony and assistant Bruce returned with the new parts and got our LG refrigerator back cooling to the proper cooling/freezing temperatures. We had our Samsung refrigerator fail completely On December 14, 2020. We went to Millman's as we like to purchase local. We elected to go with GE and GE missed multiple ship date commitments to Millman's. Finally after 4 months almost to the day, Millman's delivery crew came and installed tour new GE refrigerator, took away the old one, and all done efficiently, very professionally and with great courtesy. During the 4 month wait, Rose and Milissa were very gracious in answering all my questions and many phone calls as to what was happening. My family has dealt with Millmans appliances for 15 yrs now we have watched this business change hands to new ownership and cant be more happy, the level of customer service and service after the sale is second to none...Everytime ive ever needed service on any of my appliances they were knowledgable,courteous,punctual and above all made me feel like their top priority...From sales to service you WILL not find a better appliance store in this area....Reading these other comments left puzzles me, just hoping these are real people and not competitors posing as real customers...The ownership and staff at Millmans are AWESOME!!!!! read more

We are repeat Millman's customers in Ocean View DE. Millman's did a great installation of all our kitchen appliances back in 2018 when we remodeled. When our 20-year-old stacking washer/dryer finally died, we went straight back to Millman's. Rose provided us with her extensive expertise and knowledge of appliances. She helped us figure out what would actually fit in a small closet space. Kevin and Mike delivered and installed our LG wash tower. They were experienced, professional, and just plain great! Everyone at Millman's has been wonderful. Of course Rose is the best and was very patient in helping us decide on the purchase of our new Bosch refrigerator- which we absolutely LOVE! After having a bad experience with a big box store, we went to Millmans for a stackable apartment size washer/dryer unit. Pat and BJ were our installers. of course nothing is ever smooth and they ran into a problem while disconnecting the old unit. Gary came and they fixed the issue. New unit got installed. Pat, Bj and Gary couldn't have been nicer. They were friendly and professional. We prefer supporting family run businesses. They give the best advice and service. Patrick and Shawn came to my house greeted theirselves and made us feel special they took they're time and made sure everything was clean and level they made sure me and wife knew all the tricks and how to properly use our machine our salesperson made sure we saved money with amazing rebates and best price point they ensured that we met their service team that if we ever need anything don't hesitate to call! After having a terrible experience with a big box store, turned to Millman's and ordered a fridge. Within a week's time the fridge was delivered and installed by Eric and Patrick. The diligence and professionalism of Eric and Patrick was impressive. They were extremely careful in the process and then took the time to demonstrate the operation of the fridge. What a night and day difference between Millman's and what we suffered through before this. Next time I need an appliance I will be coming back. Thank you. read more

I purchased a washing machine and a microwave oven from Millman's. They were both delivered and installed and the old ones removed in about 20 minutes! Bear, Anthony and Adam were pleasant, professional and efficient. I purchased a refrigerator some years ago and since have had it serviced. Millman's took care of everything and there was no charge for the repair. I know buying appliances (or almost anything) right now is something of a challenge, but I would not hesitate to recommend Millman's. read more

Since moving last October, we had been using a hand-me-down washer and dryer. About a week ago, the dryer began to have some problems and appeared to need to be replaced. We went to their showroom and wound up purchasing a new one. So far, so good. The delivery of the dryer was done by Patrick and Mike. I lucked into a great deal of a Maytag washer & dryer and was very pleased with my experience at Millman's. I always bought my appliances at Lowe's, but there is no personalized service or follow up. I will now go to Millman's. Also, their delivery men, Mike and Ryan were super, even in the extreme heat we had that day. They did their job in a professional and friendly manner and ran both washer & dryer to make sure they were working properly. Kudos all around. read more
