I've been here 2x in 2 days and this time I brought the family. Absolutely excellent. Beer plus 3 empanadas in the shade. A fantastic lunch break. Hope you get to try this little gem soon. The empanadas are light and satisfying. They were super fresh. And the menu changes so I've had different empanadas both times.

Closed at 3:20pm even though I called prior representing a pickup time and the store hours are posted 11-6

11-6 pm are the hours posted. I even called saying that I was interested in a 6 pack and when I'd be visiting to purchase. I show up and they are closed at 3:30pm. You wasted my time Milonga Empenadas. This review is for anybody who wishes to hear my opinion...

Absolutely stunning food. I particularly enjoyed the: Ham and Cheese Caprese Criolla (steak) Bluey (walnut, dates, onion jam) Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious! I got the 6 for $30 option and asked for one of each so I could try bites of a bunch and share with my wife. The chocotorta dessert is to die for... think upscale Argentinian chocolate / tres leches parfait. Really really good. I keep coming back for bites of it. Friendly folks here and they were very accommodating and made it very easy to order ahead for pickup through DoorDash. I'll be back!

Amazing Empanadas! I felt like I was in Argentina and the beer was so good!! A must try if you are in San Marcos North City!

Pepperoni, Chicken and Criolla (Beef). All excellent.

Do not sleep on this cute new little spot! I ordered the chicken, criolla (beef) and the pepperoni (on special) and all 3 were amazing. They bake them right there so they're super fresh. Service was great, they helped me navigate the menu as a first timer.

My daughter was not a fan of the bluey, but I think gorgonzola is a strong taste for a 9 year old.

It feels like a warm hug from your grandma when you're eating these, so I can understand why they are Buelas empanadas! Their customer service has been impeccable each time I've ordered, and you feel good about supporting this business due to how great they treat you! These have become my go to for any potluck or get together, as they are a party favorite each time I've brought them! Please give them a try, you won't be disappointed! I've had both options and loved the frozen option because I can just pop them in the air fryer or on a pan and whenever I'm craving some of their empanadas! Highly recommend getting trying their empanadas. Definitely will be a crowd pleaser at parties :)

I've had everything from their saltado dishes, empanadas of various kinds, an assortment of their pastries, and ready to go drinks. Everything has been good for the most part. Tho when I'm craving a dessert stop here I favor the guava pastry and the alfajores, & you have to special order the cheese Pastry/bread. I'm a huge fan of "pudim" that's how you say flan in Portuguese! Yet the flan is not my favorite here since the sugar caramelization it's usually cooked too much, causing a burnt flavor, and the consistency is too aerated rather than having a creamy and smooth consistency. I've tried it a few times and that seems to be their consistent style. We get cravings for this place and like that we're mainly serviced by the nice owners of this restaurant. The restaurant is decorated in their native culture in mind. I love that! If you're craving a good empanada or a sweet tooth treat come and give them a try!

The menu is obviously focused on Central America style food, but I was lured in after learning that among their Italian items is a meatball sandwich than includes a side of fries. The sandwich was good with four medium-sized meatballs, tangy rather plain tomato sauce, and melted cheese on a soft roll. Not as good as the gold standard meatballs, sauce, and bread at Mona Lisa in Little Italy, but passable. The fries were hot and crisp, which is a rarity these days having been served so many that were mushy, limp, and barely warm. In addition to ketchup, there is a tasty side of ranch. They serve beer, wine, and mixed drinks made with wine. The ambiance is very comfortable with authentic Central American decor. The service fast, friendly, and efficient. Their consistently excellent health inspection reports are a big plus. I'll be back to try their Salvadoran specialities.

Cute little place in Oceanside, right past CVS, by Flying Pig. We never really walk out that far…read morefrom the pier area (and it's not really THAT far), but decided to go out a bit just to check it out. Scanned the QR code on the big banner from the outside and checked out their menu. Saw lumpia and thought it was a Filipino spot). Saw they had a happy hour menu and decided to check it out before our movie. The vibe we really cute and played reggae music. It was a relaxing, chill atmosphere with lots of tvs. The server, Jaz was really nice, friendly and very hospitable. She spoke of their Guamanian food, heritage and community. They've been in the current spot for the last 7 or 8 months, so fairly new, but were down the street for many years before that. We ordered 2 different kinds of BBQ chicken wings. Two orders of the sweet chili glazed (Pine Doni) and one of the other which was like a honey bbq glazed style. All were supposed to have 6 wings, but the honey BBQ one had 5 (?). The sweet chili was our fave of the two. Their chicken empanadas were huge, and served 3 per dish, were delicious and crispy, with an aioli like sauce with a wonderful kick. The spam roll was a masubi-like and was good (husband said it was the best he's ever had). The side of mac salad had great flavor! Jaz brought us some red rice to try on the house and it was really good! It reminded me of Vietnamese chicken rice, with chicken broth infused into the rice, making it really tasty and savory. First time having Guamanian food and we're stoked we tried it! All in all, great food and awesome service! If you've never tried it before...put it on your list! You won't regret it!

We started off with the chicken kelaguen which had the perfect amount of flavor and tanginess with the red rice staple. I do wish I got more rice in the chicken to rice ratio, but it was good regardless. Shortly after we got our empanadas (the whole reason I wanted to go here). I had been craving them for weeks and it didn't disappoint. The filling was the delicious and the crust was perfectly crunchy. We then shared the Guam bomb which was a pretty decently sized plate. I appreciated how crunchy the fries were, especially since the amount of sauce on top could have easily made them soggy very quickly. I do wish there was a little more meat but it tasted yummy nonetheless. Our absolute favorite part of the meal was desert. The banana donuts! It came with 4 which was perfectly paired with strawberry ice cream. Overall, super duper happy with another visit to this amazing spot! Hopefully we'll catch them at PIFA San Diego this year
